The only thing worse woukd be if she were left behind!
god i know joke!! its on the tip of my tongue, what video was this from again??
@@loveeantonia6949Michigan report from hell. I rewatched those 2 videos so much I remember every joke from them lmao
@@Danariya1 Its such a rediculous game lol
BRISCOOOOOOO
I almost died laughing and fell off the treadmill when they were trying to figure out the controls for it and Naonao or whatever was just standing there. Lol
Well, this is… not what any of us might have expected.
Nope. I was expecting Zelda or Princess Peach game. But maybe those are longer so they will do them after D3
Honestly, Given how long Chapter 2 was, this is a breather foe the grumps before they head to Chaptet 3
I was expecting the silent hill 2 remake tbh
Or some random spooky game
I was expecting, nay, hoping, for TCG Shop Sim tbh.
This is my favorite mech game and I'm glad it's getting more recognition. I really liked the way you move the robot with the shoulder buttons and fist fight with the analog sticks. The developers went on to make Earth Defense Force and stuck with that instead of giant robots.
Oh man, I loved this game, me and a buddy used to take turns with this back in the day. Such a cool concept, such bad voice acting.
"Oh no, that's where Nanao works."
Nostalgic brain is happy because the picked the girl and she's the only one who unlocks Valdor for the multiplayer. Grump fan brain is disappointed that they didn't pick the guy in the suit, because, if I ever had to pick Arin's anime protag voice out of a line-up, it'd be that guy.
I want to be mad that the Dr is almost certainly a character trace of Spike Spiegel. I want to be mad that it sounds like the voice actors were given only their lines with zero reference material and were told to read like they were reading a children's book. But......I....love this?
Toshihiro Kawamoto designed the characters for this game, so the Spike hair makes perfect sense!
As it turns out, both of those are deliberate and justified.
I _LOVE_ how much jargon this game just throws at you without explanation, while also overexplaining to controls to a ridiculous degree. That's top notch comedy.
And the fact that there are just so many innocent people on the straight road between you and the enemy, and no one has anything to say about you plowing through them. I mean they've probly fine, the chairman can survive giant robot impact.
Arin: "Wait, chairman?!"
The character selection screen moments earlier: "heir of the bankrupt Tsukioka family who succeeded late father as the chairman of the Civilization Preservation Foundation, unaware of its secrets."
Just a little hint, I always jumped onto the shoulder of the Meganite to get a good view while controlling it that or a tall building nearby. High risk, but worth it imo 😊
That Mystery Science Theater episode was "Werewolf" where the lady also says "Waaarewuuulf."
"So you & Noel is in it for fame & fortune?"
"Yes, we is."
That's the one where the movie censors out the "God" in "God damn werewolf", leaving really awkward pauses while characters keep moving their mouth.
The robot attacking Rome looks like it has soap dispensers for hands.
Know nothing about this game but Arin seemed excited about it. Can’t wait to see what it is!
MC being woefully unprepared for absolutely any of this, coupled with Arin's voice, is stupid hilarious
"What's a wicket?"
It's the barrier used in fences, sometimes called bollards if they're used to stop cars from going through a pedestrian street.
Actually, it's an Ewok from Super Star Wars.😂
Very happy to see the Grumps play Robot Alchemic Drive, which was one of my favorite cult PS2 games. Its one of the first games that giant robots actually felt massive and had weight to them when they moved. Hope they continue this as a series.
"The Meganites were never intended to be weapons"
So the giant punching robot is for WHAT then???
uh, uhm... uh... f-f-farm work. Yeah. Farming.
Giant punching robot _with huge tank canons,_ mind you!
@@gasolinejoy .............sex..........it was designed for sex.
@@designator7402 that's literally the opening cutscene for Titanfall 😂

arin: stay away from destruction in gllang mode, got it
arin less than 5 minutes later: am I supposed to be on top of it when I control it?
Nectar Butter got me. im trying to eat and when he said that i almost spit my food out. i love these guys.
I kept scrolling until I found a nectar butter comment just so I could be sure someone else appreciated it as much as I did.
Well, I went from thinking that this game was absolutely terrible to seeing that it's actually pretty cool. Maybe rough around the edges, but it's a neat concept. I think a modern remake could be really cool.
46:26 I was wondering if those people were going to get out of the way, or Gllang was just going to clip _through_ them or.... Oh, I see. That's all fine then, I suppose.
Still so excited you're playing this! And so relieved Arin picked the standard controls! They seem so weird but it's so satisfying when you get the hang of it! You feel every punch! I love this games both loving and sometimes satirical take on the giant robot genre. It's in my top 10 as far as gameplay goes. So happy!
Oh and the episode is funny as hell! "GRANDMA"
So I am only 2 minutes in, and I want to say... I am so happy you guys are playing this. Only because I only ever got to play this on a Demo Disc for OG PlayStation. I never saw it in any game store and I just never bothered looking for it. I always thought the game play was unique.
"I'm just a little girl."
- Arin "I'm actually a large, fat man" Hanson, really living up to the Internet stereotype
Guy In Real Life

I love that arin immediately forgets he can fly as the girl. I think that's so you can perch on top of buildings to control the robot
Giant robots are all fun and games until something goes... Hourai.

Dear Grump Team:
I had a really bad day Saturday. It was SO bad I didn't even realize that we were in between Danganronpa chapters; I thought I somehow slept through Sunday from sheer sadness.
I am delighted to say this episode made me cry tears of laughter. Thank you for being a constant source of happiness for me and many others :)
the company that does the EDF games made this. The way the dialogue is read/written makes so much sense.
OMFG! YOU GUYS ARE FINALLY PLAYING IT! I actually gave you copy when you guys were touring down in Florida! Way back in 2017! So freaking happy right now!
This just makes me think they should really play EDF, specially EDF 4.1 for the extra jankyness
4.1 or 5 for the insane dialog is probably best
EDF! EDF!
It was made by the same people.
@@Nocklee99 Seeing the robot designs, makes sense
BEEEAAAAM!
I'm only through half the episode and I had to pause because I'm cry-laughing. This is why I love Game Grumps.
I wish they had picked the male MC with the suit, his voice acting is so damn funny with the way it's delivered.
I love it when they get to play something Arin is totally down for! And it's a longer series with hilarious voice acting? This is going to be so good!
Love how how Arin figures out he has a hover mode and immediately forgets "This building is in the way!"
I'm probably the only one but this game deserves a remaster and the robots need a cockpit.
GUYS!!! THATS WHERE NANAO WORKS!!!
Watching the Meganite transform and squish/expel the protagonist made me laugh harder than probably anything else I've seen this entire month. Amazing - can't wait to see where this series goes!
GameGrumps Lunch Break Chronicles, Day 286:
Man this week is a huge bummer compared to the previous weekend… fuck it we ball. Tuna and crackers is saving my ass rn. 9/10.
That's so real me too
Who tf eats tuna with a smile
Oooooooh tuna salad and crackers is tits!!!
Mmm tuna
Hopefully the week gets better. Haven’t had lunch yet, but did have a blueberry bagel with homemade toasted pecan butter this morning.
I'm serious guys, this series is so good, you can't stop now!
Saw the clips of Nanao suffering. Genuinely did not expect R.A.D. to be on Game Grumps.
Before even watching, I love that the thumbnail has Arin in the protagonist's outfit. What a super cute detail!
I love it when you guys play outlandish games like this, and I'm so damn happy you'll continue with this, too.
