I'm pretty sure "one for all (and all for one)" is a quote from the novel *the Three Musketeers* by the French novelist, Alexandre Dumas. Mami Tomoe's design is heavily implied to be that of a Musketeer. A Musketeer is defined as a soldier using a musket (her rifles), but what solidifies her being inspired by a Musketeer from Dumas' works is her hat with a feather in it -- something the Three Musketeers are known for doing. Mami's theme of loneliness and her desire plays well with her Musketeer attire, as in the novels, the three Musketeers are always together going on mant battles and adventures together. Here, this song is based off of Mami's theme, Creden's Justiam. I don't think this song is particularly devoted to Madoka, *but* it is geared towards the four girls helping Homura out, showing unity in their bond of friendship. And yes, I know this comment is late 😅
You can hear the melody of Homura's rebellion theme in this... "Madadame yo/Not yet". Gosh just everything in this soundtrack gets to me; so beautiful. Homura is the best.
@@raianabo8158 You’re only partially correct. Indeed, one segment of this track includes the melody of Mami’s theme song, but the rest of the track clearly simulates the leitmotif of the Rebellion film “Not Yet”, which is also Homura’s theme song in the movie.
I've been listening to the Rebellion soundtrack, and I noticed the "Made Dame Yo" motif is repeated throughout the tracks. This is similar to the Madoka Magica soundtrack, where the "Sis Puella Magica" motif is repeated as well. This repetition is also present with many of the character themes. I just absolutely love how Yuki Kajiura re-contextualizes these melodies in a way that ties the scores together but also gives the motifs nuanced meanings if viewed through a critical lens. For example, the Sis Puella Magica melody is used in Kyubey's theme; where the former I interpreted to be about magical girl strife, in Kyubey's theme it's used to perhaps communicate to us his connection and manipulation of magical girls throughout the ages. Kajiura is an absolute genius!

This seems like an appropriate place to share a pretty funny story. I was cosplaying Deku in an online game called Fer.al once, and I ran into someone cosplaying Kyubey. This meeting led to the creation of a new AU: MagicalBoy!Kitsune!Deku. (All the avatars are mythical creatures, and I chose to play as a kitsune.)
The "Credens Justitiam" theme is so powerful no matter the context it happens to be in. Kajiura is amazing at writing great melodies.
