Carbon tax aside, what's the difference between PP and Trudeau? PP has the same foreign policy (support isreal, ukraine etc), same covid policy, same immigration policy (we will still be taking in the same amount of immigrants from the same country i.e india. I hear a lot of "trudeau bad" yet when elect PP will the prices all suddenly go back down? No. Lets be real. Prices will never come back down. All PP will do is elminate social serviecs thay millions of canadians rely on. I agree Trudeau time has come and its time for a change, and ill likey vote for PP too. Your big scary talking point amounts to 0.3% to 0.9% extra for the consumers only. So on food if you spend 100$ you're paying an extra whopping 30 cents for the CT.

That GST collected on the carbon tax is 600 million this year and will rise to 1 billion dollars a year when the carbon tax increases, But Trudeau says the carbon tax is revenue neutral . There is a mechanic for removing an unpopular party from power. It's called a Vote of No Confidence.

the issue is that now everyone in the country has seen how much damage this tax has done to all aspects of life. a lot of us don't like it. it's the reason why groceries are so expensive. it's the main reason why general inflation has been so high. it's not worth it when we contribute a tiny fraction of global emissions.

The hit to taxpayers last year alone was $82.6 million, with the government assigning 465 full-time employees to administer the carbon tax and rebate scheme.
The truth of the matter is the only thing that can truly hold the Goverment accoutable is the people, the government works for the people not the other way around, they've clearly forgotten that. If we actually want all this to stop, we will have to all come together and make our pressence as the citizens and true controlling power in Canada felt. We may have to march on the city of Ottawa, and they thought the truckers was something... just keep pushing the people..

The issue is that the majority of Canadians see the carbon tax as the shell game that Trudeau keeps trying to push down our throats. Supposedly his quarterly checks are supposed to offset the additional costs that we see.... but the problem is that it doesn't. Everything is going up in cost due to the increased cost of transporting goods because of the ever increasing carbon taxation. People feel trapped and when they see the PM respond with a complete lack of compassion and comprehension of the damage he and his party have done to the average Canadian, they feel angry. Increasingly angry.
So WHY is it that Canada's biggest trade partner, the United States, has NO carbon tax and yet their emissions went down in the past 5 years while our's in Canada have not ?????

This logic comes from University Economists (who get financed by taxes) The logic is to make it so painful that it drives behavior and that we will all never change if there is no financial pain attached. I always argued that the government can't even run a hot dog stand and they self elect themselves as the project leader. They don't listen. @@aidangattinger8975 According to Statistica, transportation is responsible for 22% of Canada's emissions. Oil and gas is the only sector larger, at 28%.
So yeah, you don't get to wave away transportation emissions, its a massive contributor.

Well, if it’s not the premieres, we’re not going to be doing well as a country anytime soon.
There should be a law in place, that would allow a majority of the premieres to be able to vote for a federal election, especially under dire circumstances, like with this present government
When is it going to sink in 70% of Canadians don't want your beloved tax. I hope none of you are suggesting this tax is going to change the weather or fire season.
All provinces must separate from federal government control asap
