I caught an AFI screening of this weeks ago and I’ve never been more profoundly affected by a film like this in years. The start was a bit slow, but as it went on, I have never felt more emotionally affected- I started crying halfway through and didn’t even stop after the movie ended. Even now, I have yet to update my Letterboxd review of it because I simply cannot put into words the wonder and love of life it had to say that affected me. It’s honestly my #1 movie of 2020, such a hidden gem, and I really hope more people find it!! Coming from a theatre background, I’ve spoken to quite a few friends who thinks this would be a great play to put up and I honestly do NOT disagree in the slightest EDIT: also loved your comparison with it to Arrival (which is another one of my favorite films of all time) because I thought the same after I finished this. I LOOOOVE WELL-DONE EXISTENTIAL SCI-FI FILMS
I saw this at Sundance and actually got to meet Winston Duke, Edson Oda, and one of the producers. Hands down the best movie I saw at the festival (granted I only saw five movies, but still).
Subbed. Congrats fellas, its all emotional resonance. Nailed it, its all about moments but really its all about him. Gorgeous character study that unfolds without self aggrandising crap. Incredibly hard to recommend 'im thinking of ending things' to friends without high EQ or have done DMT, haha but 9 days is utterly accessible. Its def a 10 outta 10 for me, coz damn, its hard ever find a 10.. like 1 film every few years. 10 outta 10s can still have flaws, just they indicate the flaws were less than 10% drops in quality haha. Thats how I reason scoring art ha Much love from Melbourne Australia
hey guys hillbilly elegy reviews just came out and its 19% on rotten do you think glenn close is still in the race? because im assuming this movie will be totally forgotten from now on
Could not disagree more with your review. 9 Days should not make it to day 2 and never be allowed to be born/ made. The most pretentious movie ever. Had to check my own pulse several times to see whether I was still alive or the movie was dead on arrival. Even if you suspend your desbelief completely the premise was so bizzare and illogical that you could only roll up your eyes. Zero emotional envolvment with any of the characters born or unborn.
We're seeing Hillbilly Elegy on Thursday, so hopefully a review posted by Friday. And yes, we'll discuss the bad reviews.
“Nine Days” and “Soul” are both about people hoping to be born...
So who allowed “Hillbilly Elegy” to be born?
Hillbilly is D O N E. Lethal injection go to sleep six feet deep! Huge fan of the novel and they blew it - great review boys

I bawled my eyes out.
The years, when most of the anticipated flop, if not postponed..and the indie becoming the best by the end of the year
the concept is not out of box.. its out of this world

O my god you're so lucky 😭

Much love from Melbourne Australia
I finally got to see it yesterday and absolutely loved it
Brilliant review guys ! I love this movie for all the same reasons ! 10/10
It has been nine days since Penn Badgley’s birthday.
Great review
Caught it in theaters today, brilliant.
Are you guys gonna review "Let Him Go"? It's a really good movie!
You give 10 out of 10 like it’s nothing
When I feel a 10 I gotta let it out.
also we only really review movies we think we're gonna like. I'll end up with around 7-8 10s in a year. Idk if that's a lot but it's how I do.
Hard agree
To be honest: this is probably the best movie of the year so far, and it's not even close. It blew me away at Cologne Film Festival
Really looking forward to this movie.
Guys have you seen hillbilly elegy?
It has terrible reviews, do you think it's done?
hey guys hillbilly elegy reviews just came out and its 19% on rotten

wow a 10/10
Oscar snubbed movie. No nominations? At all?
Cant wait to see this one, also hillbilly elegy first reviews are on and its fucking bad
Seeing it Thursday.
Premise is good but eventually it's a bunch of people talking to each other in a house. And then outside the house in the end. Not Oscar-relevant IMO
Can someone please share a link of Nine days with me, i can´t find it and i live in Colombia so i don´t have a way to watched here.
Just saw it... 2 hours of my life I can never get back
I barely liked anything about this movie. 2/10
