Hey Danny looking dapper my friend . I really enjoyed those summer jazz pulls. That Ahmad Jamal is a must his piano work is sensational. Never seen that Hampton Hawes and Milt Jackson on Pablo i definitely have to seek them out thanks for sharing Danny you pulled some outstanding records I need to seek out brother .
Coffee beans Lavazza, Qualità Oro from Italy, but I will try Schümli Crema from Switzerland in the future. I also grind them with a small hand mill. I do use a "French Press". The coffee tastes good. 🙂 Great tip: "Milt Jackson on Pablo Records"! Just got myself a mint copy (european pressing) from the eighties. Thank you!
Turkish/Greek/Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian…..known around the world as “daj kafu!” 😂 Religiously consumed every morning. A double dose needed when your video is watched first thing. 😅 Dr’z se bato, lep si k’o lutka!
a classic Moka pot and milk frother. btw, 'Estate' is a great cut on the Shirley Horn record, its like you're front row and she's singing just for you.
i lke my coffe like i like my wimmin. Ahhhhh, Ahmad.....Jamal! if you wanna hear a fanTASTIC Jamal album, it it Rossiter Road on LP. i became enamored of it on CD but I found it on vinyl and WOW, an all analog disc and the left hand can shake your room. as far as digital recordings on vinyl, it will mostly sound better than on CD as there is only one conversion from the original recording direct to the disc cutter eliminating the necessary conversion to 16/44.1 for CD. even original 16/44.1 recordings bypass the cd mastering step. of course there exceptions in all cases. jamal
Yes, Turkish coffee is fantastic. Family is also from Croatia, so we drink it often. Interesting about Jelena Milcetic's (Helen Merrill) heritage. On the theme, the European championships have started and Croatia has an amazing team. We could take this thing. Go Croatia!!!! 🇭🇷 🇭🇷 🇭🇷 Favorite Cool Jazz records? Too many to list, but I'll leave you with a couple: Buddy Collette's Swinging Shepherds from 1958 and 1955's The Swinging Mr Rogers by Shorty Rogers. Oh those pesky Martians!!!
@@SonicFlare The first eponymous Swinging Shepherds album is the one to get. They did a second album, "At the Cinema" in the early part of 1959 which added Jim Hall but is one IMO you can safely ignore.
@@SonicFlare Two more for you: Since you mentioned the amazing Art Framer, "What Is There to Say" by Mulligan and Farmer is an all time great. Also vol 1-5 of "Shelly Manne and His Men at the Blackhawk" is as good as it gets. Cheers!!

Cheerios! Your wallet will always thank you 😊🤣
Daily drip is a Technivorum Moccamaster and currently considering a Rancilio Silvia for espresso duties.
Yummy. Debated about the Technivorum, who knows, maybe when this Breville goes lights out.
@@SonicFlare I have a Nespresso for pod espresso but very underwhelmed…..

It’s only a Turkish because of the coffee pot - if you use a caffetteria then you will have an Italian espresso 😂
