Luke and Wade aren’t the protagonists or main villains in those movies, so they don’t really count as “theirs”. That’s sort of like saying Deadpool 2 is Yukio’s movie, or The Winter Soldier is Sam Wilson’s. They’re there, but they’re not the main focus.
I’m sorry but Freddy and Jason were ruined many years earlier by movies from their original franchises. “Freddy vs. Jason” is actually seen by many people as redemption for both characters and is actually a cult classic.
There is a lot missing…Luke Skywalker in Last Jedi, Hulk in Infinity War/Endgame, Deadpool in Wolverine Origins, Cyclops in X-Men Last Stand, Rogue in every X-Men film…
I’m surprised they didn’t put Michael Myers from Halloween ends on the list. He was barely in his own movie and overshadowed by a character that nobody really cared about for a good 80% of it. Personally, it’s a guilty pleasure of mine, but I will admit it has its flaws. Also, the Michael Bay Optimus prime should’ve definitely been on this list because Optimus would never act so bloodthirsty as he does in those movies I’m even going as far as to reference some of the IDW comics
Raimi wanted Vulture instead. Vulture? Sandman? It sounds like Raimi only wanted Spidey villians that were in the old "Amazing Spiderman" cartoon series. That is akin to if Two-Face or Harley Quinn never appeared in "Batman" films because they weren't in the Adam West 60s TV series, and they use King Tut or Clock King instead.
Dead Men Tell No Tales was able to callback to the previous movies & one of the spinoff book series. On Stranger Tides felt way too irrelevant in comparison.

I disagree with 13 and 9. Where the Hell is the original Star Wars Trip? If tact, all the original SW characters were done dirty in the Disney sequel trilogy. Luke, Leia, Han, R2, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Lando, Ackbar, Darth Vader, The Emperor, ALL OF THEM!!
The fans wanted Han, Luke and Leia back. They didn't want new characters. They wanted the old ones. Luke, Han and Leia had their "happy ending" at the end of ROTJ. They should have stayed there. They shouldn't have even had them in the sequels and instead build more on Rey, Finn and Poe. Create a "new" universe with new characters, but callbacks to planets, how the Rebellion beat the Empire, Jedi Knights and other subtle things. By including the OG, it ruined everyone. But it is what you fans wanted, and you were wrong. You proved why you should not be listened to.

The Star Wars sequels could have featured legacy characters without ruining the characters. Other franchises have handled legacy characters better. Star Trek (2009) respected classic Spock and the entire franchise main timeline history that came before it. (I will admit that Star Trek Into Darkness should have handled Khan better.) The entire plot of Spider-Man: No Way Home is a multi-purpose sequel to the Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield heroic arachnid film series. Nostalgia for the entire Spider-Man franchise is the source code for the Into The Spider-Verse movies. There are other problems with the Sequel Trilogy than the mishandling of legacy characters, but the biggest problem was Disney's mandate of "Out with the old. In with the new." If Disney had treated the Star Wars legacy characters with respect, then the franchise would probably be in less turmoil than it had led itself into. Check out the dozens and dozens reaction videos on RUclips of fans seeing Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 in the second season finale of The Mandalorean, if you doubt me. PS: Peter Graves didn't reprise his role as Jim Phelps in the first Mission: Impossible movie because he objected to the character becoming a traitor. I'm sure there are probably fans of the classic television series that would agree with Mr Graves, but the character's heel turn didn't create a giant schism that got debated for years. Instead, the movie was highly successful and launched a very lucrative film series. Movies can take legacy characters in "bold new directions" or "subversive expectations" without sending the fanbase into unwinnable civil wars.

Cobra Kai has incorporated numerous legacy characters, both allies and enemies, with great success. D&W not only brought back Huge Jackman for a triumphant victory lap, but the movie also utilized several heroes and villains from the 20th Century Fox movies and Loki streaming series.

When I first saw the Spiderman 3 film, I thought Eddie/Venom was more of a fallen hero, but (after looking up the character on the internet), not only seeing that Sam Raimi wasn't big on Venom, the character was more complex, to a degree. At one point, I saw him under a website called Villainous Benchmark Wikipedia. Now, I see him under Pure Evil Wikipedia. I guess the latter would make sense, considering Eddie forged photos to incriminate Spiderman just for a position and showed no remorse for it. To make matters worse, he went to a church to pray to God to kill Peter, who turned the false photos over to the boss.
The original Joker was a perfect standalone, and it require a sequel. That being said, Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga and Leigh Gill all delivered strong performances.
Marvel ruined Spiderman 3 by forcing Raimi to include more villains. And I would've loved to see Vulture in the third film but since the movie was already bloated with Venom in the movie idk if Vulture would save it. Using lex luthor again? Even in the film they say that he's lex Jr, he's not the same lex. An original character with some traits based on his comic book father. Same with the doomsday character in the movie.

I’ll never apologize for praising KOTCS. The cheddar it leans into is real, but it still has some great fight scenes: Indy vs. Dovchenko in Hangar 51, the second Dovchenko showdown while avoiding the siafu (big damn ants!), and the café fight.

Yeah, I always hated what the Wreck it Ralph sequel did to those characters. For one, Vanellope's primary motives literally violate the first movie's #1 rule of never "going Turbo," meaning a character abandoning their game. Which is exactly what Vannelope does! The sequel literally tosses that rule out the window!

The original Joker was a perfect standalone, and it require a sequel. That being said, Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga and Leigh Gill all delivered strong performances.

Marvel ruined Spiderman 3 by forcing Raimi to include more villains. And I would've loved to see Vulture in the third film but since the movie was already bloated with Venom in the movie idk if Vulture would save it. Also they should've got a bigger guy to play Venom that being said Tom Hardy isn't the biggest of all guys but he still pulled it off

Thor: Love & Thunder is the absolute worst MCU film. I'm a huge MARVEL guy (comic books, MCU, all of it), Love & Thunder is the ONLY MCU film I've never re watched. It was such garbage, I will not waste a single minute on it again.

Even the fridge scene. John Connor in Terminator Genesis is awful. Terrible. Jack Sparrow in Stranger Tides looks cool,based on clip. I believe you Last Airbender is terrible. Awful. Yeah, I always hated what the Wreck it Ralph sequel did to those characters. For one, Vanellope's primary motives literally violate the first movie's #1 rule of never "going Turbo," meaning a character abandoning their game. Which is exactly what Vannelope does! The sequel literally tosses that rule out the window!
Jesse Eisenberg is reallly reaaaaaally weak as an actor. He manages to play himself in every part (and he is not very interesting).
