I loved it when classmates had birthdays there, because otherwise it was too far away for my parents to drive to. Never drop your quality of food, always keep scouting for great players, and please never close.
Frankly this is the best restaurant. Live music concert all night long, arcade games, good food, etc ... The youngests never get bored, and the oldests like it too. It's multigenerational
A truly amazing place. Wondrous. As an organist, it's fantastic to see the kids lined up near the console watching the performance. Obviously that (ancient) technology holds a lot of interest for today's youth.
1:41 "We serve a basic menu of pizza, pasta, bass drum, sandwiches ..." "... full salad bar, tambourines, woodblocks (hmm delicious), variety of appetizers, conga drums, beer, wine, soda, ice cream, and 700 people in here !"
They didn't mention ducks. I DO know i watched a family of ducks, in their little niche, light up, dart forward, quack in key, and zip back. It is a lot of fun to see what they play, hoping some of the weirder sound effects come in to play (appropriately) because your home piano and church organ sure didn't do that stuff 😊
They used to. Most were called The Organ Grinder. Opened in the early 1970's and closed in the mid 90's. This is one of the last remaining ones, but under The Organ Stop name. The original restaurants were acoustically designed to make the organ sound its absolute best. The WHOLE PLACE shook when the low peddles hit.
I used to go to Pizza & Pipes in Redwood City, CA with my dad when I was a kid. Then around 2005 they got rid of the organ and replaced it with pool tables! What a shame

Fulfilling both your material and spiritual appetite!
Can't wait to stop by on our way to the Grand Canyon in October 2014. Been wanting to visit since the Organ Grinder in Portland, OR closed!
I wish they had a restaurant like that all over the United States. That would be very neat
