- This drone is feature packed, and one of the better drones at its price range. It includes true 4K 30fps video, a 2-axis stabilized gimbal, and electronic image stabilization. Pros
- Folding drone with carrying case makes this drone very portable.
- GPS for stable hovering and automatic return to home and landing on command, loss of signal, and low battery.

Cons
- Weighs 585 grams, and requires registration in most countries.
- The app requires use of a phone with 802.11ac WiFi. Before purchasing, use Google to verify that your phone does indeed have 802.11ac WiFi (not everybody has such on their phone).
- Requires using at least a U3 write speed SD card for 4K video. Expect severe frame dropping if you attempt to use a slower speed card (such as U1, Class 10 or lower).
- 4K video only can be recorded to the card. Although the app can record 720p video via WiFi to your phone, there is no ability to downgrade the SD card recorded video to a lower resolution (such as 1080p). This can create problems when trying to view or process the 4K video on older computers or TV's.
- SD card recorded photos are merely frame grabs of the 4K video.
- Controller includes a digital zoom control. However, the zoom only works with the 720p WiFi video, and looks very grainy when zoomed in. There is no digital zoom ability of the recorded 4K SD card video. The controller also has no telemetry (i.e. no display of drone distance, height, GPS status, or remaining battery power).
- Camera works best on sunny days. Overcast days can degrade camera performance.

You are correct. Although it appears to have optical flow sensor, I just tried it with GPS turned off. It wandered, so it does NOT have optical flow. I'll update the info to make it clear.
@M. Nurhaikal no I think that they want to leave the option open for a possible future upgrade model that may include optical flow, along with possibly acoustic height sensors.

My first was the sjrc f11 pro fantastic drone with some great features on par with more expensive drones..for Xmas my wife got me the sjrc f11 pro 4k gimbal..my friends have the dji mavic..he loves to fly mine..Great video 😊
Do you notice a difference in flight characteristics between the old F11 and the new F11 4k? Better, worse?
@@driewiel iv not had chance to fly the f11 4k due to lockdown ect..but iv noticed on the underside off my new one is a some sort off camera lens guess it for a more stable more flight..the older f11 pro is so stable in flight and hovering ect..hope this helps

Your Drone and controller model is F11 PRO not F11S PRO. Correct you title and don't create confusion amount users. F11S has different controller and it's range is also more.

Welcome to living in the NE .. ha ha. I've found that I prefer to wait until the outdoor temp reaches at least 45F (7C), so that my hands don't shake whilst I'm flying (even with gloves on). As for the 4K editing, it can be daunting without a decent computer. I build my own desktops so they are capable. In my experience, most video editing software can be challenged editing 4K video. I use Wondershare Filmora .. and, initially, it crashed regularly when editing 4K. After many updates, it does much better now. A Full 4K video can be quite large, and thus takes a long time to upload to YT. I do all my edits in Filmora to produce the video I want. I then use Wondershare UniConverter to process from a 4K AVI file, to a 4K MKV format (a streaming format which YT accepts). Doing this greatly reduces file size while maintaining good video quality. Since my DSL connection has a very slow upload speed (0.6 Mbps), it can take hours to upload. My last video was about 1.6 GB in size, which would have taken 8 hours to upload. My 4G LTE cell phone has MUCH faster upload speeds, so I turned it into a hot spot, connected my desktop to it via wi-fi, and was able to upload the 1.6 GB file in less than an hour. Best thing I can see about this JJRC (SJRC) quad is its price. It will be interesting to see what kind of video you get from it, once you have a chance. I question that they used a 100 deg lens ... could lead to some 'fish eye' video (normally, 85 to 90 deg. is preferred). Cheers!
I’m not sure this is actually F11s model. Wrong controller. F11s, and Ruko Gim2 (same drone different seller) both have upgraded screen and control range.

As far as i know that is not SJRC F11s pro 4k. The battery button should be circle dot and there is distance and elevate features on the remote

I'm a little confused now as you say it DOESN'T have optical flow sensors? looking to buy One of these here in the UK. I am confused. Banggood states the S version has a repeater that will push it out to 3k. Also the picture on their web site shows a different controller, one which has telemetry. I checked other websites that sell it and they have the same information. Did they change the S model after you reviewed it?

Is this the upgraded version from F11 Pro 4K ? The irony of it when I asked SJRC direct, they say the bottom is just a piece of glass and fake optical flow sensor ..ummm

I am firmly convinced that you should not switch off the beginner status in the flight parameters! - And you should always make sure that there are no objects or even people within the range of the set flight parameters, if you want to avoid major external damage when operating this drone!
In my experience, you have to expect the 5G WiFi to break down even at short distances ... It never worked over more than 300 meters with my "F11 4K Pro".
But the drone often no longer accepts control impulses from the remote control. The RTH function is then a kind of "emergency brake" with which the drone can be brought back.
However, the F11 then develops a fatal tendency to such a kind of tumbling flight, and this leads to a hard and one-sided landing in which the landing legs and / or the propellers and the propeller arms can be damaged!
Important: The "F11 4K Pro" has no downward-facing "optical flow sensor" and no second camera! - The apparent sensor is a fake!
Out of curiosity, could you share when and where you purchased your F11? Was it before Christmas?
They did mention this S model was made due to chips shortage so the camera chip is different than the 4K PRO
Hi sir can u help me about the problem of my f11s 4k pro I already get new firmware update wifi version v3.3.9_43 app version 2.7.3 there no connection of the but when I open the apps the camera is there the controller still connecting then drone light in front is white while in the back is violet so what do u think is the problem of my drones I hope u can help me sir 2 days ago when buy that he has 3 months and I have communication to the seller and tell me wat to do I follow it according to him the new update is not yet fully downloaded but I try it no connection each other but the camera is there I cannot see the percentage of the battery of the drones and controller I don't know wat to do I hope u can help me tnx.
Just an FYI the link to purchase the quad apparently isn't for an F11S. I contacted the company and they said the quad referenced in the affiliate link doesn't have optical flow so even though they list it as an F11S, it doesn't appear to be. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to trying this one out. Are you able to sort this out with them and get anymore info?
I just tried flying it with the GPS turned off. It drifted with the wind. It thus does NOT have optical flow capability. I apologize, and have updated the links and text references of my postings to make it clear.
Hi @quadcopter101 Just flew mine today but had a few problems and I'm wondering if you have any tips. 1. The connection between the app SJ F GPS and my phone disconnected at 240ft (73 meters) directly above me. 2. Some weird flight instability issues even after good GPS fix, recalibrated the gyroscope and compass. Basically, it randomly wobbles as if the drone was drunk especially when I let off the control input. It's not just the toilet bowl effect one might expect only during descent. 3. Severe video feed lag regardless of distance (even at 30 feet (9 meters) away) - Like 1 to 4 seconds delay. 4. I sold my old F11 Pro (non 4k) to buy this F11S 4K - the old one was extremely stable and reliable although it had no gimbal or EIS at the same field. My UAV Forecast app said 22 visible sats and 17.8 sats locked. I flew one battery in a light breeze and the other battery with no breeze and it flew with the same issues. Hoping you have some tips.

Note that I had issues trying to fly this drone in "camera mode" in the wind. It would fly backwards with the wind if I let go of the stick. I had to put it in normal flight mode in order to fly with wind. The other issues you encountered may be partially due to your phone model. Can you try or borrow another phone with the drone to see if the problems persist?

Can you fly indoors with the optical flow sensor?
Yes, but you really shouldn't do such with this big drone. Unless you're flying in a gymnasium with a lot of space, it can be dangerous. Those blades with their powerful brushed motors can cause hurt.

I just received what was sold to me as the F 11 S 3km model from BangGood and got the F 11 PRO without the optical sensor and that would obviously didn't get the one with repeater and will only be the 1.5 k. I'm not sure haw to proceed. Not like Amazon where I just send it back . Dam those ratings are why I paid $264 instead of S187? What do I do??
Please read the video description. I made a mistake in the video review. None of the F11 models have the optical sensor. The early models that were released (including mine) had an empty window that suggested that optical flow was installed. So you actually might have the appropriate drone that you ordered.

I just got my F11S. I powered up the drone and connected to the controller a couple of times. Now the ESCs process will not complete. I get the three beeps followed by one long beep but the second long beep will not play, so the drone will not power on. Ever had that happen to a drone?
Are you certain that the drone's battery is fully charged?

If I remember correctly, I believe this drone is started by two presses of the power button. The first press is a short press, immediately followed by a long press of the power button. Have you tried such?

There is no internet. Select "Stay connected" when it tells you there's no internet. If you didn't do such when asked, select "Forget" and then reconnect. When it tells you again that there's no internet, select "stay connected".

I have brought two of the f11 4K pro drones and sent them back because they have no optical flow sensor under the body as yours has, the holes are closed. Do you know what one I have to order? Thanks Tom

I looked at the add to make sure it stated that it had the optical flow and they had printed that but when they come they have no sensor. I have been asked to send a picture from vender that sent me the last drone to show what I am talking about. Will see how this goes!
I bought "F11" and "F11S" versions of this drone from several sellers on Amazon, ebay, Walmart,... but non of them had "optical flow sensor" on the bottom. Do you know whats going on?

About the SD card - Did you try with class 10 U1? U3 are very rare SD cards and I doubt in most of the reviews the reviewers don't use U3 cards and It works fine. If this for U3 is true I should buy different SD card from that the Seller sends me...
U1 will record. But you may notice occasional stutter (frame dropping) in the recorded video.

Forget about the S designation. But do look for the "4K" version with a two axis stabilized gimbal. Be careful, as there is an older/cheaper version out there, with a lower resolution camera, and no stabilized video.

The problem is that phone data network will not work with the app while connected to the drone's WiFi. But there is a way to download the map data before connecting to the drone. When you get to your flying area, open the app before turning on and connecting to the drone. Enter the waypoint map. Maps and satellite images should work when not connected to the drone. Scroll the map around the area where you intend to fly. This will save the map data to your phone. Then turn on and connect your drone to the phone and app. The map data should automatically load from your phone's memory.

I bought this about a month ago., my first drone. Unfortunately, this model has turned me off to drones. Not only am I not able to connect to the wifi, but for over 4 weeks and 30+ attempts, the drone just flies wildly out of control, full speed, as soon as it leaves the ground. I have never had control for longer than a few seconds and have had to replace every propeller and suffered various damaged property. I know two people (one with this model, one with something more expensive) that have sworn off drones for the same reason - just an out of control bullet-train. This video shows the drone just lift causally and calmly, but no one I know has ever had that experience. To top it off, Support help is not in English.
I'm not sure that you actually watched this video? Where in this video did it lift off casually and calmly?
And also let's try to troubleshoot your drone. Regarding flying wildly out of control, does it fly in an ever increasing circle (like swirling in a toilet bowl)?
My did that a few time, it would just fly very erratic and the controller fairly kept it up. I found that the place where I did gyro compass calibration was right over a lot of metal, under the sidewalk and under bench. When I moved away from that area it fixed it. But also remember the earth has strange areas of crazy magnetics, so try flying in another space, big and open. As for your phone, I got 2 old phones from my aunt to use cause mine didn't work. But also high strength wifi routers can over power the signal from the drone, or your phone wont work with that drone. Find a nice free old phone, its just for flying it.. Other than that its defective. Dont be mad, theres always shit coming our way, smile and keep walking..
is it wifi controlled or Radio?
Controlled through 2.4Ghz radio. But FPV video is transmitted over 802.11ac 5Ghz WiFi.
Hello. UPDATE. As I seen on WIKI my B G N is right under AC, so WI FI 4. Please enlighten me because I have reviewd this drone for more than 3-4 days in multiple videos and I wanted it so badly, but if is not compatible with the Mate 10 LITE I will check for other drones... UPDATE 2. My mobile phone is built in 2017 and the WIFI 5 this AC is on started from 2014 so I am still confused..

The MATE 10 Lite does not have 802.11ac WiFi. I'm sorry, but your phone will not work with this drone, or any other drone that requires 802.11ac WiFi.
@@Quadcopter101 Thank you for answer. No, the ideea I think and you can please confirm or not, having a 4G mobile phone in a world full of WIFI 5G drones, is not working... Or it is? Because that is the confusion. I installed the app, is working fine and also inside the specification GUIDE it didn t said about the 5G thing.. For sure the remote-DRONE conection is both 5G so there no problem, but yes, I am thinking seriously the problem that a 4G mobile phone like mine, will be hard to have good signal so this Lite MATE 10. I will probably buy a a 5g I found a Motorola around 200 € and this drone or something similar but it will need more time unfortunately :).
@Ion Coman You are confusing 4G/5G phone mobile networks with 5Ghz WiFi. Phone mobile networks and WiFi are two different things. They are not related. I discuss and stress this at 11:18

AC and mine wich is 8.11.N or smt, they are called Wifi0, 1, 2, 3, latest 6E and mine is 4. So yes, as you said I will probably buy a 5g phone, the cheepest I seen is a Motorola.. We l see. Thank you
i didn't know there were 2 versions of this drone,im wondering if the video signal freezes between 100 to 300 meters like my version of the f11 4kpro does.can you do this test for us,there are a ton of people wondering this and some of them asked me to test my version on my channelso i did and got as far as i previously said and i tried a couple different times.

Depends on your phone too. And more expensive isn't always better WiFi. Another thing to look for, like when using follow-me, is GPS accuracy. Here too more expensive doesn't automatically mean the GPS is better.

@@capeRCouple Yes but it also needs stability so it stay connected. My Mi A2 for example does a very poor job. So I bought a Ulefone Armor X8 which works much better. The mini L108 with Mi phone has 50 metres FPV. With the Ulefone it's 200 metres and maybe more. It also reconnects much easier. Clearly the Mi A2 has a bug. Someone with a Mi A10 ( I believe) also had issues. While another person did 1 km with a Mi A8! It isn't the brand or WiFi signal strength.
Other things to try is airplane mode with WiFi on. Or delete old remembered networks. I won't even start on security in Android version and app compatibility. That's beyond me!
Of course location matters. The guy with the 1 km range had only 100 metres elsewhere.

Heads up Quadcopter101 the link vendor RemoToy is shipping F11 not F11S but billing says its an S version. App binds as F11 and box states its F11. Received mine yestersday. I'm contacting them first before contesting with cc company to see what they say/do.
