if you have other means...I would try to buy the osprey now and get your paperwork going. It's taking as much as a year to get approved form 4's back. Just saying it would suck to save up for it, get it to your dealer, then have to wait a year after having 'waited' while you were saving. That's a lot of waiting. heh So just saying if you have some means of loan or whatever. I personally would seriously consider it. Note: I purchased an Octane 45 HD (also made by silencerco) - been waiting about 6 months so far. I'm thinking it's a better can then the osprey. Check it out.
Even since I read an article about this fantastic pistol in around 2009 or 10 I've been infatuated with it. That was a great review! Keep up the good work.
Incorporated into the early prototype is the "Schieber," defined literally from the German as a "sliding safety." This is in actuality the slide lock that was dropped from the latest production models. The slide lock functioned to keep the slide from opening upon firing, which allowed the firer to retrieve the spent casing for added stealth, and added to the quietness of the fired shot by eliminating slide movement. I myself have never seen one and they are extremely rare.
My friend just got his ffa license, and is producing his own suppressors. He is waiting for the license to sell 100% suppressor. He can sell 80% complete as of now. He does make a "solvent catch" that he is going to let try on my LAR-8.

What some people do is submit forms every month for things so they arent really waiting by the time they have 11-12 forms in at a time. I can't afford to submit paperwork every month...
Might want to consider getting a 40 osprey over the 9 because the sound quality isn't that much better and then you can shoot 40sw (as well as 9mm) through it if you ever get into 40sw. Personally I'd go with the 1/2x28 RH threads if you can find them. Reason being if you acquire other 9mm firearms they will most likely be 1/2x28. One less piston to own and have to change when you want to go from gun to gun. But if you want to stay true to HK then you better get metric.
For clarification, Osprey 45 or 45k? It looks like the full size one but it looks small on the Mark23 compared to other pistols so it's hard to tell... :X
nice MK23, I have a Osprey45 on a USP with threaded barrel from USP tac. Does your Mk23 have a slide-cycle lock feature that turns the gun into a bold action? Or is that only on the earlier military only version?
The Mark 23 is one of those pistols I would really like to own but I could never justify paying for, My most expensive handgun is a FNH FNX-9 and I love it but that was when I had money to splurge along with an AR-15 I wanted to get sometime during Firearmageddon (Well slightly after, Prices were still elevated). I have also considered a Taurus OSS (Which have issues I heard which is unfortunate) and I am thinking about a FNX-45 sometime in my future...Got any ideas on something like the Mark 23 for a price that's affordable?
i justify it by: I'm only going to live once and it puts a big ol' shit grin on my face every time I pick it up and a bigger grin when I shoot it! I don't think you could go wrong with a Glock 41 .45 long slide. long sight radius. 13rd mags. cheap. runs. accurate. proven.
GrOuNdZeRo7777 Both the G20 10mm and G21 45acp and G41 long slide 45 - all highly versatile setups. G20 you can do 10mm, 40sw, 357sig, 9mm, 38 super, 9x25 all with different barrels of course but you can use the same mag for all those...even 9mm. And of course there are variations of each caliber in barrel length and type (threaded ported extended etc) G21 - can do 40 super or 45super or 460 rowland. I've done vids on most of those configs.

Thank you. Wet just means you put about 6cc of water into the suppressor before shooting. It helps with the sound even more. It only lasts about 1 mag and then you need more water. It's also messy. Yes Sir. FPS.
Son of a Zombie yes. grease works ok. kinda smokes though. Wire pulling gel is about the best alternative to water. I heard a story that a spec ops dude pissed in his can ...not sure why. but it would work! lol I personally have used gatorade because I ran out of water.

e the Knights suppressor is very old technology and it weighs a ton. That said from what I know, it's still an amazing Can. Osprey or the new Octane would be the choice.
Can anyone please tell me. Where can I find the LAM unit just like the one in Metal Gear? USP and Mark 23? and I'm not talking about airsoft buisness. I want the real thing. if it's fictional, then just let me know and i'll spend the rest of my life becoming an engineer to make one.
You'll probably have to spend a few months monitoring ebay, gun auction sites, and the popular forums. Even then, you'll be spending just as much for the gun because they don't make them. My advice is if you want a pistol light/laser that actually works, get a surefire x400. Better made for a fraction of the cost.
They're banned by the FDA and the ATF I'm pretty sure as well because the IR laser that's built into it is classified as a laser designator. That's all I have ever found about why they're so rare. The FDA banned them because of their radiation limits. The IR laser could probably light some shit on fire if you ask me.

I used it in an oil refinery in Alaska, along the pipeline.
How many kills did you get with it
That osprey suppressor is such a perfect match since it matches the shape of the gun.
I think the designer of that suppressor mentioned the Mk23 was his inspiration for its beveled edges and the serrations on it.
