My friend thought she had to be warm cuz she's punjabi, but it turns out she's cool. Here's how she figured it out: bright colors make her look grey and sick. Most foundations for how deep her skin is, look too orange on her. She gets told she looks ashy when she's not. Luckily now that she's figured it out she's looking very healthy and slick in her cool tones ❤
When picking the right blonde for my hair, my colorist followed these rules and I'm so grateful to have an experienced professional in my life! Definitely a warm undertone and I love gold jewelry or pearls ✨️
I’m a dark autumn who leans more on the warmer side. I love to borrow some colors from the “cousin” palette bright spring-especially the deeper pinks and reds. I love the dark autumn color palette but I wasn’t put on this earth to wear brown😅
Thank you SO SO SO much for making sophisticated detailed content on subjects like this that apply to Black Woman. My journey to my true self is truly enhanced because of your content. I’ve been following you since your skin care channel. Keep going sis I’m rooting for you. ❤
I honestly look good in most colors but I love jewel tones in monochromatic schemes or high contrast looks a la black and white. I do cheat as I mostly mimic what designers and photographers put me in decades ago. Funnily enough my natural hair color has very little contrast to my skin but after 30 years of blue black rinse I have changed my season!
I think I am a warm/true summer but I'm not sure. I'm terrible at figuring these things out. It took me like a decade to figure out that makeup wise I am a neutral undertone who leans towards warm with a tan in the summer.
You should try Merriam Style’s artistic license content. I find she breaks all this down to its essentials and it was helpful for me in training my eye to see things in their fundamentals
I LOVE color...the punchier the better😂...so I'm probably out here breaking hella rules BUT they make me happy so🤷🏾♀️ Im a winter for sure. Also, love that top!!
I love your videos. You obviously do the research and know what your talking about. Super helpful but I'm just slow. I still can't figure out where I fall. I think it's dark autumn or medium spring. Dark brown hair when not colored darker brown/almost black to cover grey, dark brown eyes & neutral light skin. No clue.
You’re not slow lol. It’s a lot to take in-you might already gravitate towards certain colors or there are certain colors you wear that always get compliments. Best way to figure it out is to drape yourself with colors to see how they make you look. If you’re interested, there’s a kit linked in the description
I got my colors done way way waaaay back when. How old are you?😂 The lady told me Black people were Cool. Um, no. Silver makes me look ashy. All Black people are not Summers or Winters. I hope this has changed.
yeah, that lady was SO wrong...lol. And it has changed among some consultants, but you know there are still some out there saying that same mess...lol. I'm 42---learned color theory at FIT's Image Consulting program back in 2006...lol.
