As an iranian i have so many things to say
First of all i was so surprised when i found out that you was persian , im so happy and would love if you could visit iran
Then i have to say that it was completely a persian wedding we do the same thing in iran but whit more guests (something arount 500 to 700 lol)
I saw someone saying that the custom of bride and groom was western actually thats true but its no different in iran
Unless it is a wedding in a villages or something like that
I totall i really enjoyed it and i dare to say that if you make more videos about iran or like iranian style vlogs you'll get so many fans frome iran (i just turned into one)

Even tho it is an iranian wedding, its not totally traditional. It's a mix of iranian and western which is understandable because it reflects the people. The suit and brides dress is western while the food and music is iranian.
People in Iran wear the exact same clothes when they go to a wedding, are you even Iranian?

@@aln339 Nope Iraqis, Lebanese, Syrians has more Arab and Turkic influence. Never say an Iranian/Persian that he/she is Arab because you might start a riot. Iranians don't appreciate that mistake much.

Nice for sharing this Uptin. But it appeared more like an American Christian wedding rather than a traditional Iranian/Persian wedding. Arent there any religious ceremonies? May be a loaded question, but just curious.

To sad knowing how Persians are abandoning their rich heritage and identity
All of my grandparents who got married in the 1950s/ 1960s in Iran had very similar looking weddings. Most people read prayers from their religious text but the white dresses have been worn by lots of brides for a long time. Iranians have definitely been removing themselves from Islamic religious traditions for the last few decades… sofreh aghd is one of the oldest wedding traditions for Iranians
I definitely agree- and towards the 3 minute mark I can see the devolvement of traditional Persian values with the 35 year-old or so looking man. He reminds me of my “pesar-khalehs” (cousins) who are glued to their iPads during our mehmoonies (parties). Do I need to remind everyone that we are PERSIAN?! WE HAD AN EMPIRE!
There was a lot of that, with the Koran, etc, but for the sake of time, I shortened that section

All immigrants after one generation assimilated into western society anyway . So , you will not find much difference except for some cosmetic appearance and label

@@uptin Well what you said it would be...But as a person who attended several Persian wedding, I expected to see that vibrant wedding costumes and clothings which resembles much like South Asian wedding and I believe Persians has one of the most fascinating culture that outshines Western culture
