Zakk has taught me a lot about the pentatonic scale. I know that in his videos he is a man of few words but he has written several articles on Guitar World which cover every one of the patterns within the pentatonic scale as well as the diatonic scale (which he derives a majority of his solos from). He also covers several of the techniques he uses throughout his arsenal of riffs. These videos and the articles will give you a huge advantage to learning the "Wylde Style".

Great seeing these licks. I always incorporate them into my improvising. Now, if you can start doing some brutal chest workout videos, and how to get bigger triceps and biceps to keep control over the guitar, that'd be metal as fuck.
I don't know if this will help, but Zakk's picking technique is alot like Gypsy Picking which is what gypsy jazz players use, and every gypsy player is super quick like this. You might wanna look up the style, but it seems to work for alot of people who want to get a really fast and very relaxed picking hand.
Thats why i love play pentantonic because of zakk and frusciante

Amazing stuff Zakk, thanks again! You may not be taking requests, but in case you are - I've always wanted you to teach some of your diatonic runs. You tend to do blistering fast ascending diatonic runs where you use economy picking and cover all 6 strings - I've seen you do it a hundred times (take the extended jam in Suicide Messiah from your Paris DVD for example - right before the tapping part, you do a crazy ascending diatonic run using economy picking. I'd love to know how you do that

hey zakk i've been playing guitar for 17 yrs now and my riffing and rhythm techniques are solid enough,but i've recently decided to get more serious in my lead knowledge. One thing i've noticed is you can go beastly fast and u never hit a sour note with ur improv soloing. I can play fast but i find i have to spend time memorizing what i'm going to do. Do you pre plan ur lead stuff in ur vids here or are you just improv soloing? exercisewise what would you recommend for mastering what ur doing?

Great higher quality video,How do you fix the problem of picking fast up the strings?I can pick fast going down from low E to high E but when I come back up it gets a little shakey!
great video but u can improve it. Try not to film it from a angle because we cant really see the high notes, and do it one time slow then 50 % and then real.
