      Hey Gavin, two ways of doing that... You can either move them back from the layers panel on the left without moving the elements directly.
      Or press space while moving elements with out making them go in another frame.

      Use scale tool (k) to scale things down ..and move the elements in the layers panel of on left and move them down to hide it.

    How do you create a component set? That option is missing in Figma for me.

      Select all the elements then You have to click the down arrow next to the diamond icon on top. You will see create component set option. make sure all the selected elements are frames.

      By combine I meant grouping them in a frame (Opt +CMD+G). Apologies for the confusion :)
