"the great thing about these modern all digital pedals is that you get all these firmware updates, so it's not like you have to buy a whole new pedal when they improve things."
Seems like a source audio Ventris dual reverb, plus a nice OLED screen visible on stage, IR, cloud reverb and infinite button like the one from tc electronics. A very nice toolbox, but twice the price of a Ventris...
Haha, yeah this is not always the case with complex pedals. After tweaking this pedal for like 5 minutes I already felt enough confident to tell the film crew that we can put it on the table in front of me upside down. That tells a lot about it. 😅🙌 //Kris
Sounded as good as I'd imagine a big sky revision would, but they totally lost it with almost 800 euros. Strymon really lost the chance to dominate the reverb pedal market again. I'm in the market for a reverb pedal and was excited for a big sky revision, but hell no I'd pay what they're asking for. Surely another pedal can get to 70~80% of that for less than half of the price.
I’m not sold on an overkill version of an already overkill pedal. I had the big 3 and some others and sold them all…..but I will keep the El Cap and the Lex. A Swiss Army knife does many things poorly and nothing well. Give me a dedicated tool any day.
The price tag is really high, I don't get the point why to get this pedal when u can get reverb studio racks from 90's (Lexicon,Eventide,Tc,Ensoniq, Etc...) that way more realistic to actual spaces than that.
Haha, from now on I might just run around with a Big Sky MX attached to my belt with a power bank together with a small mic and speaker setup. 😆 I'll sound epic! Cheers buddy //Kris
I use my Flint as a wash on the 80s rack setting never gets old

I'll stay with my Nightsky ... not even touched its depths but it just sounds more mysterious which is my kind of thing 🌜🦉hoooooot
i use the nightsky with synths and love it
Shimmer / Magneto sounds awesome ❤
I don't need it... but I still want it!! Excellent Demo 🍻
Thank you! Yeah it's a dream, this thing. Unbelievable effect tone quality too, obviously. //Kris
So intuitive you can even use it upside down 👍

Look no further than the boss RV500. It's always had a screen and been able to do dual reverbs in series or parallel.
6:46 blew my mind 👌
Thx4sharing such a nice Demonstration. This Strymon is "Grooooooosartigsssssssst!!!!!
Can I power it with a power bank via usb for busking?
your playimg makes me cry..in a good way
Aww, thank you! It means a lot and I'm glad it's in a good way. 😆 Cheers //Kris
Can this be used also on synths, vocals?
Seems like THE reverb pedal to get if you're in the market right now. Definitely an investment, though.
Meris Mercury X is the new King...
Your demos kinda the best
Thanks a lot, we really appreciate that! //Kris
Looks like Strymon took some lessons from Empress. Sounds nice though.
Bro how are you getting such a clean tone with your tele?
Can you make a vid about your pedalboard for inspiration? I have a tele and a revv d25 so thats already a good start.

That's hot stuff 🔥👍
It sounds amazing, no doubt. but at $930 CAD, I don't think this one's making it into the collection..
$1339 Recommended Retail Price in Australia. My local has them for $1,169, which still a long way outside of my budget, sadly.

Because a rack is heavy on a pedalboard ?
@@Noodex18 Then u can buy an outstide 2u case rack
Listened to these nice tone examples and when you started to talk again I missed a nice big reverb from your voice, Kris, haha! 😄

@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses Sounds like a great plan! 😉
If only the real world offered some sort of reverb in its persistent occupation of our surroundings.
4:50 - Strymon “Ojai”. 🤦🏻♂ I just got that joke.
I'm first! looks great but I think for me I'm good with the original
When can we expect a reasonably good, affordable copy from Joyo/ Harley Benton ?
Crazy expensive! Only the IR loader is of any interest to me.
So, they made an Empress reverb for $200 more dollars.
Is it a dual reverb?
twice the price too 😢
It’s sexy but it’s overpriced
Am I the only one hearing this or is the left/right channels out of phase?
Seems like it finally caught up with the Boss RV-500 .I will Stick with the RV-500
another evolution. what happened to innovation? lame, boring, expensive. Great delay and Tremolo choice though ;-)
