Yeah, unfortunately Battlebots went off the air almost a decade ago. With all the latest technology, a new season of Battlebots would be a sight to behold.
@destructiveduck I would assume it's because to armour the wheels properly you have to bring the wheels closer together which reduces some mobility and makes the machine harder to control... and these machines already are hard to control from what I am told. That said the mobility really doesn't not pay off against any fast spinner. Essentially the larger the wheel base you can get, the easier the machine will be to handle, some just go to as far as possible, where it's hard to cover them.
I fully agree with you. If you really like the robots that Team Logicom has built for fighting, I made a video as a tribute to them and their contributions to combat robotics. It contains highlights from 10 of the fights with one of Team Logicom's robots. If you watch it, please comment on it and rate it. I hope you like it.
It would fry the motherboard. Basically scrambling the circuit on the motherboard. It's similar to putting metal objects in the microwave. It's almost like emp bomb, but less severe.
12 years later... It's crazy how the tides have turned

I love how he says "we'll be back", and then easily defeated shrederator in Battlebots.
and Sewer Snake is in the Hall of Fame but Shrederator not

that would be the ultimate "ima mess with your head future opponents move"
knock out the wheels before the bot

The rolling robot is truly well imagined
Shrederator discovers the truth about these robots: Crispy on the outside, but very chewy in the middle.
i love the whole smash a robot to bits then, stop it with your foot. seems real safe
That is true but if he hit the wall it cause alot of damage, so they are not DQ.

Didn't Megabyte get beaten eventually?
They have both lost several times.
It just doesn't happen very often.
u had to admit that sewer snake had guts to last this long
Ini memang pertarungan robot yang luar biasa aku harap bisa buat robot kaya ini dan masuk pertarungan robot juga seperti ini
I wonder if microwave laser are allowed in battlebots? It's not listed in the rules.
What would those do as a weapon?

Connor Leschinsky I don't know if that would be allowed to be honest.
Haha yeah, I thought so. It would not be fair... Then everyone would have one. Then it's only matter of time who activates it first.
Connor Leschinsky Yeah that's true.
Megabyte. He's beaten superheavyweights without any modifications
Well, thank you. :]
which kind of power source(battery) causes such a powerfull spin ?
Not the battery more the weapon motor
I have never seen sewer snake like that before. By that I mean the design, isn't he a flipper/lifter bot???
This is a very old ss
as in, 2003. I think.
Megabyte is tougher, not better driven.
Megabytes first loss was from Bambulance, part of Team Logicom, driven by me, Brian Nave's son.
A lesson to all of us:don,t try to stop a spining wheel with spikes!!!
too late
Yeah that was a pretty bad match. There was another fight we had, which wasn't recorded of bambulance winning over megabyte by judges descision.
shredorator is amazing
those guys are crazy to go inside while they are still working !!! those can kill you !!!!
they should do shredorator vs razor
Pyrosaurus_Rex been done
DADDYDJENT Covers cept it was an older version
dat guy i mean razor would die anyway lol
DADDYDJENT Covers it fought razer under the name the revolutionist
dat guy yes and had speed controller problems
if only they new when he said well be back he ment with a winner
heh xD
Yeah, i guess they also breast feed them with gas at nigh, before pulling out the plug:O
excactly... i know cause i built one
Shrederator ist the best!!!
im so glad Brian Nave is my dad XD
I sware to god, I have a video with me and him :D
Sewer snake is cooler now, this version is worse.
Those of you who came to Robogames a few days ago know what I mean.
nsongster this one doesn't even look like the Sewer Snake I was expecting :)
Hah! spinbots FTW!
I like the sewer snake i wish the sewer snake win this battle!
hahahah , maan i dont like sheredator, i prefer sewer snake
LOL hear the them yell: OOOOOOOHHHHHH for a remote-controlled robot! oh my god so lame!
