Thank you for watching, Mabuhay Squad! It means a lot to me that you guys are joining us for another vlog, this time on this new and exciting journey with our second and larger farm in Iloilo, Philippines. We are growing so many different fruits and vegetables here, and the land has so much potential for greater agricultural greatness! Let me know what you guys think! What else should we grow here? Please remember to LIKE, SHARE, & SUBSCRIBE to join our evergrowing Mabuhay Squad! I love you, guys! Xoxo
It can be a farm resort with infinity pool and bar on top of the mountain then you may produce lettuces for samgeopsal on your own restaurant inside the farm (select a site with nice view). But some farm crops need to continue like corn and if you have money to finance try sugarcane. Lopezez of Iloilo started from that industry even the Aranetas they all started from Sugar industry. It makes you a billionare its a good high valued crop. There are sugar mills in Passi City And San Enrique still in Iloilo you can sell Tons of cane there.
Mikey your vlogs are so wholesome, corky, fun, silly, relatable, educational and so many other things that I can't quite find the right words for! I'm always excited when I see that little blue dot on your picture! I'm sure we all look so forward to watching your vlogs everytime you post. You might not know it but you put smiles on a lot of people's faces.
Have you guys thought about doing your own, “Farm to Table” at this farm? Even a Iloilo Island eco-adventure? You could have the proceeds help the workers and their families. I’m guessing there are many people from the larger cities in and outside the Philippines who crave the wildness of such a remote place and would love to spend a weekend at a remote property learning about the crops, the native fauna and flora and we can’t forget the insects!
Piaya is filled with muscovado! Muscovado is unrefined sugar with molasses flavor, and is derived from the Portuguese "açúcar mascavado". The landscape looks incredible! You are blessed to have a property this big to use to your heart's content! With your hat and the bike, you look like the Filipino Indiana Jones
@@MikeyBustosVLOGS Actually the original maker of Piaya is Sugarlandia by Tia Dami who is originally from Iloilo City. Her family migrated to Bacolod before the world war II and opened its bakery in 1930's. I personally interviewed one of her daughter back in the 90's during my first visit to the city. According to her daughter it's a family recipe and later copied by their relatives like the Bongbongs Piaya and many others.
I think the locals find you more intimidating Mikey when you speak to them in English. Would love to see you try to speak to them more in Tagalog 😀 Love Iloilo and the Ilonggos. They’re very sweet people!❤️
I dont find Mikey intimidating when he spoke English .I love it actually.I am an Ilonggo,in my own opinion it made me feel intelligent when someone is speaking to me in English because it will enhance my understanding and communication skills.English is one of Filipino language, Mickey is even bringing more knowledge and making me more matalino. His videos can be watch all over the world esp.in Canada ,he is an international artist thats why he is trying to accomodate all of his viewers.Lets be positive and spread more love in our comments.Love you guys
I have drank the juice derived from that miracle fruit offered to me by a family when I was doing my walk in in rural Igbaras, Iloilo. I can't remember the process but I remember it has to be boiled and reduced.I should go back there and ask her. Thank you for doing this video and reinforcing awareness that farming and farmers are vital for our survival. Very refreshing to see concerned citizen like you who are into land preservation, organic farming, living off the land, being humanitarian, etc. I go back to Iloilo every year from Victoria,B.C. I was raised in the farm. Hope I will have the chance one day to visit your farm and enjoy the scenery. I would love to capture those yellow orioles with my camera . Love birds!! Good luck with your ventures and adventures. Mabuhay indeed! Where in Iloilo is this farm?
Hi po.. What you are holding is a calabash fruit or known as miracle fruit mostly.. Its medicinal.. You can google its benefits... Your farm is huge.. You basically owned a rolling area.... And we have faith that rj and you can achieved it they way you both did in your mabuhay squad farm.. God bless youboth
Oh My!!!! I remember when you 2 wet to that Iloilo farm! It's been what 2...3 years ago?! So proud of you all for the work you do for the farmers and the country for the best!!!!! Supporting local business and people is so important for the country and the future!!!!
People in the comments should realize that this channel is not just for local viewers. It caters to variety of audience, we get to know Mikey speaking english with some baluktot tagalog, so let him. He's more comfortable this way 😊.
FANTASTIC!!! I really loved this vlog! There's so much here, and it's all great to see. What I find very striking is how ya'll are approaching the longer-term goals of this place. It's super clear ya'll have the right motivations; I can't wait to see how all this comes about. RJ seems to be totally in his element. Somehow I forget you were raised in the Province but seeing you here on the Hacienda, it's very clear you are a Country Boy (in the best ways). Horses are a great idea! That place seems so well suited to that. I'm intrigued by the corn. Is it sweet? I make a Corn Puree that is incredible with sweet, fresh corn. It wasn't clear when ya'll got this place what you would do with it, but now it's becoming clearer, and I think ya'll are going to be the best stewards of the hacienda and the community it will support. Well Done! Thanks for sharing all this. Ya'll be safe, and I'll see 'ya next time.
A great place to see!! A lot of fruit bearing trees and produce you can plant in an agricultural land..Nice to see a beautiful farm living in the Phils. Thanks for sharing your adventure
I learned a lot whenever I watched your vlog. As a nature lover, I'm looking forward to your sustainable farming and on how you're gonna develop this massive land
Just started watching your vlogs….this particular one makes me so proud of you and RJ for having such big hearts to help the people and community. Good luck to both of you and may our Lord continue to bless you in all that you do.
Wow! I’m halfway through this vlog and I am amazed and very inspired by your efforts to conserve wildlife. Both you and RJ have the purest heart. I too believe that everyone deserves to live regardless of their socioeconomic status or their state in the chain.
Mikey you are such an inspiration, may many young people follow your path of conserving the land and be passionate in agricultural farming. This has always been what i have envisioned myself to be into but has been hindered by the lack of money and opportunities. In the right time though this will happen. Thank you very much for this video. This means a lot ❤❤❤
I am so addicted to watching your videos like watching tv programs. I loved how you’re explaining everything what you do around your Mabuhay Squad Farm House and the health benefits. You’re so so neat/cool. Loved it!❤️🌹👍
Yellow orioles (Icterus nigrogularis) are native to northern South America. The ones native to the Philippines that you were looking at are called black-naped orioles (Oriolus chinensis)! Also, love how you're talking about farm to table when it comes to food in Iloilo at 5:41...and the transition to the next day at 5:51 has a McDonald's in the background 😂
Mikey! Feels good indeed to be back in Iloilo after about 3 years in your second farm which is really beautiful as well, and a sight I do miss seeing too! Now while there hasn't been much discussed yet about building a house there, I know that this may eventually come together who knows, and I will know that we will be together in making this farm as beautiful as the farm in Cavite!
As a recent subscriber, your unwavering dedication to nature conservation and the genuine passion that emanates from your being have deeply captivated me. It's as if I have discovered a kindred spirit, someone whose thoughts align harmoniously with mine. I find myself enraptured, delving into your trove of past videos, eager to unearth further treasures of inspiration and insight.
Yay I've been looking forward to seeing the farm. It's cool that you guys are helping the farm workers and also can spend more time working this property now that the pandemic is easing!
Mikey you need an atv there if your not developting the roads soon. It will be good for transporting your produce eventually and can enjoyable as well to ride atv on those rugged terrain.
@@MikeyBustosVLOGS thats what we are using in ilocos sinc its also a mountainous area. Horses are good but a bit hard to maintain since its a living animal unless you want a farm where your animals are part of the attraction
Oh wow ! Nice that you finally visited your farm! A few years ago you went to visit your friend and she gave you a tour of her farm with many agroponics growing there ! Yiur farm seems times bigger and bigger potential!
I’m so excited that you’ve returned to this farm. It’s so fascinating for me to see how you guys plan to produce commercial food here. I was born raised and currently live in the Midwest in the United States, and I grew up on a cattle farm. So it’s so interesting to see farming done in a completely different way than I’ve seen my whole life
Wow Mikey your and Rn love nature as I see on you. Its so nice of you appreciate people around you both. Nice to hear if you can speak ilongo as well. Enjoy Mikey and RJ. That’s a miracle fruit.
Awesome Mikey I knew you had a farm (Farm) I remember the Vlog I was wondering what had happened to it soooo nice to see it coming along and hearing your plans for it. I saw the Bracelet you have my wife got me a couple different ones simular to that but different colors. Been working allot lately have not got a chance to catch up to your Vlogs.
I'm from Iloilo and am glad you got a farm there. Try to learn the Ilonggo dialect. People there will be happy to see that your trying to communicate with them in their native tongue. More power !
I've been WAITING for an update on this other project! It's really a rich and beautiful land... the possibilities are endless, and I love that you love farming so much. I hope the love spreads around so more people want to work the land. It *is* the dream, hard work, but the dream.
That's a perfect spot to build your farmhouse. Beautiful scenery to wake up to every morning. I live in Melbourne but it is a dream for me to retire in our huge farmland back home. Clean, peaceful living❤
I missed your vlogs, so happy to see this one. I agree with everything you said about farming, nowadays everyone wants to grow food as we are inundated of fake news from media about shortage of food. If I cannot go home to the Philippines soon, we are looking for properties in Tennessee and North Carolina while it is still cheap. But if I go home, I am building community for healing and wellness. I love your high vibration and your vision and thank you for your encouraging words. You are an inspiration and a great influencer. I give you an award for that. This is one reason why you are so gifted and being blessed abundantly. 💙🙏🏼
Hi Mikey! Glad to see the vast area of the Mabuhay Squad Hacienda. The area with the 360 view is the best place for the vacation house while at the same time, improve the old farm house. But it is important to build the road to farm, that way it will not be a problem to deliver materials to build the farm house and vacation house. You can even ask or collaborate with the local government unit so they can build a road from the main road or highway to a certain area that leads to the farm so at least it will not be expensive for you. Can't wait to for improvements to begin at this farm. Lots of things to consider and plan but I know this will be exciting 👍👏😀
Hi Mikey and RJ! Luv and support your vision! Our Mabuhay squad family should take an oath to make the world 🌎 a better place! Each individual can choose their own way to make their mark and cause positive change! Luv you guys ❤! See ya on the next video! Frances
RJ and you will be very successful hacienderos... hope you can inspire more rich people there who do not do anything to their lands to become an agri farmers too... kahit pang sarili nyo lang kunsumo ay malaking kabawasan na yan sa iniimport ng Pinas from abroad hahaha... nakakahiyang importers tayo eh pareho lang naman natin ang vietnam at Thailand pagdating sa temperature at klase ng lupa...more power to you both
OMG if we could grow stuff to export to year round buyers abroad that would be TOTAL goals! I'd be so happy! It would be a game changer for the farm! 🙌💯🙏 Let's try!
I got so excited that you have farm in Iloilo because my father's ancestry came from Igbaras, Iloilo. I missed the place a lot. I love Iloilo even if i wasnt born and raised there but i frequent visit it. I also speak the dialects. Thank you for featuring the place. 🤗🤗❤❤
Great vlog! My Lolo used to have a farm there. I was born in Iloilo and moved to Ontario with my family when I was 2. That was so long ago though. Eventually we ended up in the US. I LOVE your plans for the property. I can't wait to see more.
Wow that farm is an awesome view! Sia is pretty sweet😍, The food looks good I love fish and shrimp. The Phillipines is definitely on my list of vacations!
Ang laki pala ng Mabuhay Hacienda :) i love how the simplest things excite you, like the mushroom grown by termites and the fruits that's poisonous :) that's why God blesses you with the grandest things :)
RJ we're the same, I will refused to eat the mushroom 😅, Mickey hopefully to see you, been watching your vlog for awhile now.We are currently living in Mandaluyong close to your condo. I'm loving to see how you appreciated much the nature and biological species ❤
I always watched your vlog, being a senior citizen, I really enjoyed watching every vlog you uploaded especially your farm, there is so much thing can do here... I luv you both ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do the quail egg & Puto vendors still hop on the bus & sell their goods? Love Iloilo. ♥️ You shld invest on ATV’s to oversee that farm. 💖 Love your sustainable plan for the Iloilo farm. It will definitely help the farming community there. You & RJ are awesome. 🐜🍎🌱
Hi Mabuhay Squad, I appreciate your plan to develop your property that will show case Agribusiness for people around to emulate. I'm old, 78, but I hope I can still be around to see your future "paradise."
Saan po yan na bayan sa Iloilo? Taga Iloilo din po kami lolo namin farmer din. Pero palay tinatanim. Sarap talaga tumira sa probinsya. Sariwa ang hangin at fresh lagi mga gulay at prutas.
A couple of times it looked like you could touch the clouds, so tranquil. Hope you can develop a road system that will improve the ability to harvest economically. So many possibilities.
RJ and Mikey you should invest in 4 wheelers for this farm. Much more safer for going up and down hills and with muddy to dry soil. I love untouched land and you shouldn't do too much updating to the land. But of course safety to you both and to your staff there. Horses would be an awesome addition!! So love love natural land. She is a beauty you two!🥰
I just love both of you. I've been watching Ants Canada since before Lagaya and then came here just before you got her. ❤️ Amazing people who do spread positivity everywhere.
what a vast lands you have! you can make an eco-resort out of there where guests can sorta harvest greens for their salads hehehe... btw, I prefer the not so ripe "manibalang" mansanitas/aratilis 😍
Yes, a sustainable farm bed & breakfast would totally work here! It's definitely something we could pull off in the future! During the pandemic, Rj and I even took a 3 day B&B workshop with the best OG B&B in the country: Sonya's Garden!!!
Awezome farmland. It's a good exercises place in a early morning with natures n fresh air to breath. A very good from a young generation (meaning senior citizens 😊☺) watching this vlog has everything to look up to. For sure the people you are giving job is a big HOPE in their life. Two thumbs up to a wonderful n beautiful hearts couple 💕💞😍
Mikey, watching here from Canada, my province is from Aklan , that's Panay Island too , wow, that's a very nice thinking that you have on all the protection of different species , my Son John works in a company that's doing computer video games , I told him to watch your blog too.
Well that was a very fun n exciting flashback n time, dang it don't seem like it's been that long ago y'all bought the big FARM. I remember the huge spread of food y'all ate after walking thru fields, n seeing all the pineapples growing. It looks so different from then. Still super amazingly beautiful n I 100% agree the 3rd spot is gorgeous, I too heard Angel's singing as y'all walked a top the hill, the view of the entire property from there is spectacular. I can't wait to see what y'all have planned for the farm come to fruition. 😉💞
Getting horses will require alot more effort. Maybe looking into more cost effective and efficient things like maybe an ATV or a cart to get around the uneven terrain would do. Since you'll be away most of the time, the horses will just be stuck in the stables as i dont think your workers would be riding them often or taking them out cause they wont need to. We also have to look at the welfare of the animals. But overall the property looks amazing! It's everyone's dream at this point to eventually settle down in a farm. It sure is a dream of mine! lol. Fresh air and fresh food everyday. I also love the idea of letting the workers live off of the farm's produce. That would be an amazing thing to do! Congrats RJ and Mikey!! More blessings to you guys! Keep it up! Things you can look into could be owning cows or carabaos to provide fresh milk you can benefit off and also they could help trim your land. The manure from the cows could be used as organic fertilizer. Also, chickens would be something to start off with. Fresh eggs you can sell. Start small and gradually expand to a larger operating farm.
A road sounds like a good ideal lolthat sure is a BIG piece piece of land.bring the big round thing to your farm house and find a place for it so you can talk about it to your guest lol. Is this land yours and Rj? Or a land u are planning to buy?
So proud of how you & RJ remain humble, hope to see a collab w/ Angie Mead King again. You guys would make a great team too in making Philippines a better place to live in with same advocacy 💯❗️ just wishin 🙏😘

this is so great, what a beautiful farm .. so much potential. This is my new favourite! maybe even greater than ants and birds.
Hi Mikey and RJ! Luv and support your vision! Our Mabuhay squad family should take an oath to make the world 🌎 a better place! Each individual can choose their own way to make their mark and cause positive change! Luv you guys ❤! See ya on the next video! Frances

First subscriber love to watch your vlog,,iam a pilipino canadian
Welcome back!! Thank you for your future plans here in Iloilo 💯🙌🏻👍🏻😌☺️
Great vlog. I love when you visit the farm. I could live there in heartbeat. Absolutely gorgeous
Great vlog! My Lolo used to have a farm there. I was born in Iloilo and moved to Ontario with my family when I was 2. That was so long ago though. Eventually we ended up in the US. I LOVE your plans for the property. I can't wait to see more.
And families everything and when you spend make sure you spend again because farming takes a lot
Very informative and educational your vlog…full of knowledge and wisdom.
Love ur vlogs specially showing ur farm in Iloilo. You guys are so blessed and thats what God wants us all to be, a blessing to Him and to others....
RJ we're the same, I will refused to eat the mushroom 😅, Mickey hopefully to see you, been watching your vlog for awhile now.We are currently living in Mandaluyong close to your condo.
I'm loving to see how you appreciated much the nature and biological species ❤
You can open that coconut and eat the sweet, crunchy 'Tumbong' inside. 21:06
You could do eco tourism and make a few homes on the farm and rent out . Just beautiful!
Yes, this is true!
Vast LAND, HUGE RICHNESS WHEN TIME COMES, GREAT PLANS IN ACCORDANCE TO UR CREATURE TEACHINGS. BLESS U MORE BOTH.
You can grow grafted calamnsi in your land, grafted mangoes,, and mahogany or grow bamboo farms for storm shelter.
God bless you Mikey and Rj
for helping our local farmers...
Hi Mabuhay Squad, I appreciate your plan to develop your property that will show case Agribusiness for people around to emulate. I'm old, 78, but I hope I can still be around to see your future "paradise."
Wow, Mickey and RJ awesome hacienda. God bless
Mickey and Rg your great congrats new farm house in iloilo,🎉
Suggestion - you can get ur workers "kolong kolongs" to allow them a more efficient and convenient way of transporting your produce from the land.
what a vast lands you have! you can make an eco-resort out of there where guests can sorta harvest greens for their salads hehehe... btw, I prefer the not so ripe "manibalang" mansanitas/aratilis 😍
Mikey and RJ pwede kayong makakuha ng idea from Farm Ridge by Desmond Farm in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija staycation …. it’s so perfect for that farm
Yes, a sustainable farm bed & breakfast would totally work here! It's definitely something we could pull off in the future! During the pandemic, Rj and I even took a 3 day B&B workshop with the best OG B&B in the country: Sonya's Garden!!!
I'm always watching your vlog from California. I'm from Lambunao, Iloilo and I'm wondering which part of Iloilo is this. So beautiful and refreshing!
Awezome farmland. It's a good exercises place in a early morning with natures n fresh air to breath. Woaw! I need to comment this time. Mikeeeeeey.... hope to see you here in Iloilo. God Bless on all of your projects! 🤗☁️
I enjoyed watching your blog.
goodluck to your beautiful plans hope it will prosper 👍👍👍
Need a few miyawaki forests around the property to attract wild birds
Yey new vlog. Happy to see your second farm, Sir Mikey and Rj!
Yeah that is a termite mushroom known locally as uhong.
So proud of how you & RJ remain humble, hope to see a collab w/ Angie Mead King again. You guys would make a great team too in making Philippines a better place to live in with same advocacy 💯❗️ just wishin 🙏😘
Love Angie Mead King! 🥰🙌💯
Nice to know you have farm in Iloilo. My father's from Iloilo and my mother's from antique. I love Iloilo though i wasnt born & raised there but i can speak the dialects 🤗❤
Wowa, 👀I had forgotten how incredibly Massive the food farm was! It looks fabulous, and like the adventures never end!
Btw, did Jeah take the thumbnail pic, its adorable!
Hello , you can also put some birdseeds outside in the big trees so wild birds can come around and feed thanks
Hahaha......love the farm...riding a motorcycle is awesome...theres a lot of things to do in that farm..excited what it looks like after you develop it..Goodluck on your future plan with it.
I MISS THE FARM LIFE AND ITS HUMONGOUS FARM. AND THOSE FRESH FRUITS I LOVE THEM
Sarap ng guyabano masarap tumira dyan may alagang manok at mgtanim mga prutas
