It always great to see guys still playing MVP, even though this video was years ago. Just some FYI, there is a guy on eBay who sells updated rosters for guys who are still playing this game, 15 years old and still one of the best baseball games of all time!
I have been feeling nostalgia and regret. A number of years ago, I sold my PS2 and the games with it, and this was one of them. I couldn't get enough of everything this game had to offer; the fluidity of it, the soundtrack, etc. If the Major Leagues had this pace of play, maybe the average age of its fan base wouldn't be 55.
I played this regularly from its release (I was 9 or 10 I think) until last year when my GameCube finally bit the dust. Easily one of the top-3 sports video games in history. This video is rekindling my research into how to fix my GC lol

I’m just going out a limb that most of the people that were on mvp moved on to join other parts of EA or somewhere else. Basically saying that if we get a future mvp baseball, don’t expect it to be the same game because it will be different people on the project.

The Show really isn't even that good, most people, including myself play it because it's the only game available. Plus, without competition The Show has no motivation to put out a better product, I mean they've had the same 6 classic stadiums since 2006! I'd like to see someone take on the Show already. PS2 had so many baseball games to choose from.
Still better than The Show. Look how many classic stadiums this 15 year old game had. The Show STILL doesn't even come close. True baseball fans made this game. Show is same game with updated rosters year after year. That said, I'm going to play MVP now!

Sport games were so much better when there was competition. They actually had to try. Now it’s just the same game every year with minor changes and with updated rosters.
im playing mlb featuring ken griffery jr on my n64 i like the astros i had to start over because i dont have craig biggio somehow i got ken griffery jr to play for the astros because he's one of those famous retired baseball players it piss me off and now im on the second game.because if the astros had biggio and griffery jr together the astros could of won something
