Yes Pixel8 is more expensive but I would choose it over any iPhone which has a stupid price for what it is. If they added expandable storage on the Pixel8 it would rule the world!
Here in Europe the prices are closer to 400 for a54 and 700 for the pixel 8 (versus the mentioned 300vs800€). Wondering if it's worth the difference.. Most devices around 300€ need to be replaced every 2 years as they start to lag beyond great operability, Nokia 3.1 plus (2020-2022), Poco x3 pro (2022-2024) etc.. What's your take on the longevity of these two?
@@DariuszTech @DariuszTech, could you please share your opinion on whether the Samsung A54 or the Pixel 6a is a better choice for video blogging, considering that they have similar prices and fall within the mid-budget range? @@suprayz5321 Google Pixel phones offer a captivating opportunity to experience the cutting-edge operating system, GrapheneOS. This exceptional system is exclusively compatible with Google Pixel phones, which narrows down the available choices. In the price range of $250 to $350, the Pixel 6 and its variations are the primary options, while the newer Pixel phones tend to be more expensive. Although you might consider alternatives like the Samsung A54 or Honor 90, it's important to note that they fall short in terms of privacy and security when compared to a Google Pixel device running GrapheneOS. On the other hand, the Samsung A54 delivers unparalleled stability.

@@DariuszTech I'm not the original commenter you replied to but I hope you'll let me use this comment of theirs to address the same issue 😅 I've got Huawei Mate 20 and used it for near 6 years now. I like the Leica cameras, they're still decent, the phone itself holds up pretty well, but it's starting to lag and the cameras are no match for the newest phones. With that I dove into the new phones that came out 2022-2024 and found out that they all are pretty good however also pretty expensive. I LOVE the design, the camera, the size and the camera of the Pixel 8 (also Xiaomi 14 is on the same page by these means), but I hate the fact that it doesn't have additional storage and is maxed out on 256gb with a price tag of like 600$ where I live. That's quite costly. Xiaomi 14 is even better at most parts and at the same time sits at the same price. With a budget of like 300$ tops I would really like a phone that is comparable with Pixel 8 and Xiaomi 14, with not too big of a screen, 90-120hz refresh rate and a good camera. But the most important part for me is the durability. I believe Pixel is quite durable and can hold on for a couple years like my Mate 20. And the Chinese phones (poco and redmi note have been my experiences) are not durable at all and at least some part dies out after a year of using. I've heard bad rumours about Samsung's durability too. Zenfone is too small and also expensive. S23 and 24 are amazing but also expensive. Is there something as cheap but not much worse? Could you recommend something good maybe even 3 years old that dropped its price drastically maybe?... Anyway, thanks for the help beforehand, really am looking forward to reading your reply 😊
@@DariuszTech forgot to mention - the battery is also a very important factor. Pixel 8 battery sucks dramatically. Xiaomi 14 for example is much better. 33 mins to 100% and 10-12 on screen time is amazing
Il pixel sostanzialmente meglio ( non in tutte le circostanze a dire il vero) ma il galaxy a54 non è assolutamente male, sia per le fotoche per i video..
I think Stabilization is better on the A54, I kept focusing on the park bench and the pixel has a slight jitter to it. Low light Video on the front camera is way better on the A54 than pixel. But All midrange and above phones will have passed the threshold of above average to great camera quality that everyday light use is a non starter anymore. I feel like phone cameras are more of a novelty than a necessity and that there is only a small niche market that uses the cameras on phone in a professional setting. I guess its good if you want to make indie projects, but I know as soon as they have enough money, they are going to replace that phone with a dedicated camera when you get the chance.
imo the a54 isnt as stable compared to the pixel. Low light is def worse on the a54, it maybe looks better but thats not how low light works, usually u want to see stuff when doing low light Front facing Videos and not a black picture, downside is the noise tho. guess more preference how much is too much etc. but overall yeah cameras come a long way even midrange can fight flagship devices in some sort, even Budget 120-150$ phones, i had a cheap 50mp redmi device and under perfect light it does impressive photos even when its 2+ years old.
Samsung looks like there is some sort of oil on the lens. I don't know why it has to be that way, even if a lower tier phone... at least make the photos look like they were taken through a clean lens...
Just got an a54 and i think the camera is poor . The shots on the main rear camera are grainy ,noisy and overblown in the highlights . Quite possibly the worst samsung camera phone i have ever used . The samsung s6 ,s7 and s8 are far superior imo. The screen is good , the speakers are great and its fast enough but the camera is bad
If you compare with old s series you will feel like this , but if you compare now the price of a54 with s 22 ultra , 23 ultra then you will have diff mindset
