I gotta say, you finding beauty in Christianity made my respect for you go up. You're not one of those guys who pretends to be anti-christians because it's typical in black metal.
I recently got my first tattoos of bananafish on my inner wrists, they're fanciful fish designed by my artist in the style of Edward Gorey, I love his artwork, it's macabre and humorous at the same time. The bananafish are from the short story by JD Salinger, A Perfect Day For Bananafish, it's about a young man who, after an innocent afternoon of entertaining a small child on the beach with tales of these made up fish that gorge themselves on bananas, goes up to his hotel room and shoots himself in the head. I'm clinically depressed, there's nothing you can do about it except to control it and learn to live with it. Suicidal throughts are a fun bonus of depression, and for me, I learned to see the absurdly funny nature of that. These bananafish are here to remind me that someday may be a perfect day for bananafish, but it's not today. And I'm fine, I'm not in danger, this is just my morbid sense of humor at work.

I have one tattoo on my right inner wrist that I got when I was 16 that I will never regret. I’m type 1 diabetic so it’s a medical alert symbol with the words “type 1 diabetic” and date that I found out I had it. My dad also has a matching one on his upper arm

Your parents are just like mine growing up! I hated tattoos too until I turned 18. I only have 2 at the moment. I have a 1997-2112 in roman numerals (MCMXCVII - MMCXII) on the inside of my left bicep which I got when I was 18,. Which is me and my twin brothers birth year and 2112 album on the inside of my bicep. I have Ukrainian Coat of arms on my right side of my ribs I got when I was 19 (to represent my moms side of heritage). I plan on getting a Newfoundland flag on my left ribs. (to represent my dads side of heritage), I want a cross on the back of my left calf, a Cryptopsy Devil logo on the back of my right calf and a Absurd logo on my right side of my shoulder. Others than that I couldn't imagine putting anything on the outside of my arms because I like my tattoos being a surprise and I dont want my father to find out lol!
