This presentation was a walk down memory lane! I used to explore for VMS deposits in Canada and completed my Master's thesis on one. This was in the late 80s and early 90s. It was interesting that Dr. Gemmell used a number of diagrams in his presentation that I used in my thesis! They are really interesting deposits to look for because we have modern analogues. They are probably the best-understood ore deposits for this reason.
Thanks for the fantastic presentation! Our small exploration company has found a small group of VMS type in an area of complicated geology in Central BC. Your explanation on the timing and different country rock finally ties what we have together!!
