About 15 years ago I switched from a long history or bike riding to the recumbent trike. I am simply more comfortable on a trike. Nothing hurts. They definitely do not climb as well but they sure are fun.
I had to chuckle at the wheelspin on the moderate climb. I love my trike, but it is limited in off camber terrain and you can't shift your weight back to increase traction.

not all of us are young. balance and fatigue are an issue.
with my trike I just went to Sahara, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan 🙂
