The turtle was so cool. Thank you for sharing it. I’ve always wanted to see one. Loved the flat scallop, the thick ridges on the Imperial Venus Clam, the checkered neurite, and hairy triton! You had a good day!
Albino mossy arc! Atlantic Hairy triton! Imperial Venus clams! Checkered necrite! The Golden olives...baby turtle starting life! Coral pieces. What great shelling! After Sharmon"s trip and now yours, I am putting Juno beach on my bucket list. Will try to go November 2024. TFS...
Very beautiful day. You waiting for the baby turtle making it into the water was amazing. Seeing all the beautiful shells you found. The sunrise over the water was so amazing. Thank you for another beautiful shelling adventure. Have a wonderful day.
I have collected shells for many years and never found an Imperial Venus. I even have a Junonia, but no Imperials! I guess Juno will be in my future. Its about 2 hrs away! Thanks for a great shelling day.
When shelling in SE Florida, I seem to find the Imperial Venus Clams somewhat regularly. There is even a cousin of this shell called a King Venus Clam(Lirophora paphia), which although much more uncommon can also be found in SE Florida! Thanks for watching!
@@solaceinshelling6552 oh!!! That’s always great news! I try to support sea turtle conservation and rescue as much as I can. I was swimming once off the coast near Destin when a sea turtle came up to me and swam around me for about 30 minutes just touching my arms and legs with its flippers. It was absolutely magical and I have been in love with them ever since. 🥰😊
Love that beach. Have visited once. Had limited time that day and stayed close to the Pier. Low tide came fast and found several Scotch Bonnets ! Need to return. Thank you ! Love your videos !!
Loved seeing the little turtle - it was the highlight of my morning! And yes, the albino Mossy Ark was crazy... I have never encountered one before this. Thanks for watching!
Every single one of your vlogs is awesome because you come across as such a peaceful person. You provide a gorgeous release from reality and make me want to jump into the screen and be there treasure hunting with you, thank you x
Thanks for coming east again; I so love that area! The bittersweets were really striking, and that albino mossy ark--so cool! I like mossy arks, anyway. Great triton! I'm glad you were able to shell in the water for a bit, too! Nice when the surf isn't pounding! I was there a month or so ago, and found lots of hawk wing pieces, too, but did not manage to find a whole one. Still exciting! Really enjoyed this video and the peace it brought me in the middle of some chaos!
I love all your wonderful videos! Those bittersweets are so amazing. I love the color and patterns. My trip to Juno in Sept wasn't so rewarding. The shells were sparce, the heat unbareable but it was beautiful there. I did find some pretty bittersweets and spectrals.
This was actually filmed this past August - I had to walk quite a way on the beaches to find goodies piles, and yes the heat was almost unbearable when the sun became brighter. Shelling does seem to be better here(and in Florida in general), in the colder months! Thanks for watching!
I love the cardita shells. Who cares if they’re common? And the spectrals with those sunray stripes! But of course the baby turtle was the star find! Thank you for taking me along!!❤TN Nana
I wouldn’t have made it 10 ft on that beach. Bittersweet and spectral bittersweet clam shells are my favorite. Remind m for some reason of the butterscotch discs grandpa used to carry in his pocket! Thanks for another great video!
Imperial Venus is my favorite at this point but all the shells have a certain beauty of their own! It's been storming pretty hard the last few days and my rain gauge which measures up to 9 inches has been emptied 2 times already! ... wondering what has washed up on shore here in beautiful Brookings, Oregon. Thanx for another wonderful seaside adventure and keep that sunscreen handy...and thanx for letting me tag along on yet another shelling expedition....in 4K!!!
Usually there is an overabundance of ocean tumbled stones that I look for and occasionally I happen upon a wayward shell...lol...Sporthaven Beach is the place to park to watch the sunset which is the main attraction as it is right on the shore...
Of course I loved it all. But that baby sea turtle and the albino Mossy Ark we're outstanding. Does a shell have to be completely devoid of pigment to be considered an albino? What if it just had a little cream tint somewhere?
So I believe albinism exists on a spectrum; shells that possess albinistic features wouldn't be fully albino but rather have tendencies of albinism, but I am not 100% certain on that one! Thanks for watching!
I'm going to be there at noon on December 1. Can you guys please save me some shellsto pick up???😂 Seriously tho such a beautiful plCe and love your shells!
Loved all your finds! The hairy triton was my favorite this time. I love the way the sunrise makes everything glow so beautifully most of all!

The baby turtle was absolutely magical. 🥰😍 That’s something that I would love to see in person, a little hatchling making its way to the ocean.
On this morning, there were actually so many little turtles! 🐢💙

The turtle hatchling was a bonus to all of the great shells. That albino mossy ark is a winner! One of my favorite beaches!
