I was 10. I watched some of the Steelers Browns game, then the entire Rams/Vikings game at 4PM EST in Akron, Ohio. I remember the day well.

Those poor Tampa fans didn't realize what they were in for, the next two years.. But they did get to witness some of the best uniforms in league history.

Right, Rusty. It was a four season run of good teams. Really, I believe 1978 can be counted as well, even if the wins weren't there. The Bucs built one of the best defenses in just three seasons. People often fail to realize how impressive that was as the NFL did not make the expansion drafts the same in the 70's. Seattle & Tampa had the dregs of the league to choose from in the expansion process.
Then, the worst decision in franchise history destroyed what John McKay was building. The owner, Hugh Culverhouse, was an extreme penny pincher. So much so, Doug Williams left for the USFL. An owner willing to be just average in average in rewarding players with fair compensation would probably have written a much different history for the Bucs.

I likely watched that week 2 studio show in '76. I for sure remember the week 1 show (was historic - Phyllis was new and bleeping gorgeous). Holy smokes.
