Next time you forget your makeup remover or run out, use coconut oil! I will never use any other makeup removers ever again. I love this stuff - it is like a magic eraser for makeup, PLUS it doesn't dry out your eyes (like most makeup removers that are packed with alcohol and chemicals) another PLUS, coconut oil is said to help keep your lashes nourished and help them grow.
Oh my gosh! I've been using coconut oil at night on and around my eyes after I wash my face because I heard it's like a natural wrinkle prevention so I figure I'll start early, but the past few days I've noticed my lashes are incredibly long and I don't even use falsies anymore! It's incredible! I used to have the stumpiest, shortest lashes too!
Coconout oil is comedogenic (I really hope that's how you say it) :D But yeah better than any make up remover, it takes off every bit. . But some people should avoid it..especially if they have blackheads, whiteheads.. But you can always use it as an eye make remover
I use coconut oil to remove my eye makeup, and it's amazing! My eyelashes are falling out less, and it takes my makeup off effortlessly. It also really helps the redness in my face. Bow down to coconut oil!
Coconut oil rocks for everything!!! Moisturizer for face and body, nail strengthened, hair conditioner and smoother, eye makeup remover, coffee flavor, lip balm, I am OBSESSED
I love the ponds moisturizer. I don't find the scent strong and its not oily on my skin at all. Guess that goes to show that products work differently on everyone!
Going back to your old stuff and it brings back memories of me sitting in my dorm, a little college freshman, wanting to escape life for a little bit. I'm in awe of your hard work and keep it up!
Purposeful Pursuits Maybe its not meant for oily skin then? I know Kathleen has oily skin so that's probably why you both hated it, I have dry skin and I love it so much!
I just found you and oh my gosh your amazing! You are so descriptive and helpful with your videos and you have dry skin like me (which it seems like every beauty guru I find has oily skin) so its nice to hear what looks good on your skin type. Thank you so much!
Oh I love that neutrogena naturals makeup remover! The regular face cleanser without the makeup remover is good too! It gets rid of all my makeup and it's eye sensitive so it doesn't sting terribly if you get it in your eye. I did find that it makes my skin a bit dry, but I didn't have any burning sensation or horrors like that. Too bad it didn't work out for you!
I think it depends on how dry the skin is or how easy it can get dry. My face skin is a mixture of oily but at the same time dry and I can't use any acne lotions, scrubs, and so on because it will dry my face so much that it will literally burn and when I make face expressions it feels like my face is cracking.
Girl I think I caught your cold from watching your videos so much! 😂 lol I had the day off so what better way to spend it then to drink tea and watch all your older videos!? Lol I subscribed to your channel in October 2014 Andia fell in love with you! (No homo) lol! Your 2014 favs video was amazing! You're so genuine relatable just amaziiing!! Keep up your hard work!! Xoxo
I'm so happy that somebody else has an aversion to certain product smells. I never experimented with drugstore makeup or products very much because oftentimes they are smellier than the department store stuff. Flashback to that classic Covergirl powder compact :( Can you please do a video about bad smelling makeup?! That would be so helpful.
You might like to try the clinique super-moisture or super-balance foundation. I have the EXACT same problem with my dry skin and can't even use tinted moisturizer, but I swear by the clinique super-moisture and super-balance (the super-moisture gives you a really fresh dewy flawless look even when your skin is flaky dry, while super-balance isn't as dewy, but still really nice, it's up to you what finish you prefer). Anyway, I have tried almost every foundation under $50 (drugstore and high-end) and clinique is the one I go back to every single time and am always astonished at why I ever consider buying anything else, because it really is perfect (for me, but judging by what you said about your preferences, it sounds like you would probably really love it).
:D Megan Elizabeth never heard about the word comedogenic and non-comedogenic? I got acne...i also took accutane so i know exactly what I'm talking about ;) you dermatologist ;)
For the JERGENS lotion it helps if you put coconut oil on your joints and places that are knobby (Toes, Heels, Ankles, Knees, Elbows, Hands and Collar bones) and then put on the Jergens. After 3 days don't put on the Jergens and put on regular lotion instead. This makes it so you aren't orange, just don't use it everyday and put coconut oil on places that get orange easily :D
mac foundation destroyed my skin. could not figure out where the acne was coming from. i switched from mac to arbonne (yes pricey!) but OMG! the lightesstttt foundation but with FULL coverage. pimples disappeared!! and i can never go back now. whats amazing is it lasts foreverrrr! with mac i was buying a new bottle every few months.. cuz im an everyday user. with arbonne i buy a bottle and it lasts me a good 7 or 8 months. you immediately notice how a little goes a longgg way. would love to hear your review on it!
Wipe the jordana mascara brush on a napkin then use, it's amazing ! It takes off that first clumpy layer off the wand & gives a much better application
Kat..super dry skin as well. I have to put on extra moisturizer in the morning, let it sink in before applying foundation. I like the MUF HD, and the Loreal Lumi....both work well with my dry skin. Also working for me is the Bare Minerals liquid...believe it or not.
I am fair skinned with loads of freckles & wanted to buy the jergens tanner to see if it worked. Needless to say after watching this I got it in medium to dark and it has worked so well for me! It's given me the nicest bronze color all over I absolutely love it! It did go on patchy and turn me orange in some places when I first used it without exfoliating first, but after I exfoliated and tried it again it worked beautifully! Give the dark version a try I think you'll like it much better than the light one :)
I love the jergens natural glow! But when I use it I use the medium to tan shade, I shower between uses and if it gets orangey that means you have to exfoliate. Self tanners use a chemical called dha (dihydroxyacetone) and what it does is naturally bring out the melanin in your skin, but when people start to turn orange, usually it’s either from using too high of a concentration of dha, or not exfoliating enough and the product building up on the skin too much which causes a orange residue. some self tanners also may have additives in them that cause the orange as well.
I tried the MUFE face and body foundation, and I must say it was good; however, I love the MAC one more. I found the MUFE version a little oily in comparison to MAC, but still very light and fresh. Go get a sample! Good luck.
If you want a good moisturizer for dry skin, I've been using the cetaphil cream, and it is amazing! My skin used to flake out so bad on my forehead, and even in the dead of the winter my skin hasn't flaked since using this. Definitely recommend for anyone with dry skin
Love your videos. I'm a new subbie. You are so honest and just down to earth and I really appreciate and enjoy your videos. I wish I could have come across you channel earlier.
Oh and I loved the ellnet! I didn't notice a lingering smell. I did buy the Marc Anthony hairspray from the ipsy bag because it was actually cheaper. Oh and I love your lipstick in this video!
Am I the only one that actually loves the Neutrogena face wash? It doesn't break me out its gentle on my skin and I don't think it leaves a residue at all lol
I loved that Neutrogena Naturals when I was living in Australia. BUT now that I'm living here in the U.S. it dried my skin so much! :( After I wash my face with it, I could feel my face soft and moisturized, but as soon as I dry my face, it instantly dries out my skin that I can feel my skin tighten so much and then it starts to get itchy.. Argh! Tried Origins Checks and Balances, it did the same thing! :( wth??
Have you ever tried clinique rinse off cleanser! It is awesome I just like you have dry skin and the rinse off cleanser not only cleans off your makeup but also makes your skin feel so moisturizing and soft!
Omg Kathleen I thought I was the only one that thought the Ellnet Satin Hairspray didnt do anything!! Btw... I love the way you are in your videos! You make my day 😊
I LOVE ponds. It has seriously saved my skin. At first it felt super greasy but now that my skin is hydrated I only need it once a day. My face doesn't even get oily anymore. Girl, my face was so dry it hurt to move my muscles. The ponds completely changed that. Mine is for dry skin but the container doesn't look like yours. I got it in the travel sample section at target.
OMG I'm glad I watched this because I have combination skin with oily t zone. But lately I've been getting dry patches like near my eyebrows and on my EYELIDS and had no idea why. And watching this I realized I started using the neutrogena makeup remover and that most be it. Would've never thought! Thank you!
I have the Pond's cream and I use it only at night, because it does make your face really shiny. Mine doesn't smell like old people, though. It doesn't really have a strong scent.
I was thinking about trying Elnet hairspray coz I like strong scents. I use aussie hairspray coz I love the scent! also I like Loreal Sublime sunless tanning gel, the one I use is instant & has sparklies. good tip on buying the darker shades, I did not realize this. your videos are so helpful & detailed, I love hearing your descriptions. I also hate mint scented things, it's so gag when they put it into lippies. thank goodness mac doesn't do that. sorry the mac playing koi did not work, I get that from mac crème cup sometimes if I don't put powder or foundation or some sort of base for it on my lips. I learned to work with it & learned that & now it's up there w 1 of my faves. The mac morange looks good on u, I cannot pull off colors like that.....u r so pretty too & love ur hair.
I think that's why everyone loves the elnett so much, it says it disappears at the stroke of a brush right, so I'm pretty sure it's better suited to loose hold hair styles, not buns that you wanna like freeze your flyaways down! it's supposed to be good for hair that's loose because it will never make it stuff or crunchy.
Kathleen-- I just subscribed to you last week and I've been binge watching all your videos! I LOVE finding someone new that I can't get enough of! Your personality is what hooks me in, you're hilarious! And real! Anyway-- that Neutrogena face wash and Ponds dry skin cream are 2 products that I own and HATE! I also totally regret buying them. Glad we're on the same page :) --Kristina
Are you wearing morange mac lipstick on this video? Have you got something over the top of it? Love this with a natural look!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! If this isn't mac please can you tell me the make and colour please :) xoxoxoxo
That is a light hold hairspray. It's good for loose hairstyles to help with texture or keep baby hairs down. Try a stronger hold spray. I absolutely love Mac face and body foundation. I also have dry skin and it didn't break me out. I wish it didn't break you out cause it's fabulous
I love watching your channel because I have very dry skin too, and the neutrogena did the same thing to me. I tried it out for a few weeks but it dried out my face so bad I threw it away. love your channel so much!!!!❤
omg! thank you so much for posting this! I almost bought that makeup remover/cleanser but decided to try it later and I have really dry sensitive skin so I am so glad I didn't get it! Definitely won't be trying that!
I have dry sensitive skin but I didn't have that experience with the Neutrogena naturals fresh cleansing makeup remover. I use it on a damp cotton pad to remove my eye makeup then mix it with my regular cleanser to remove everything else, but I only do that if I have a lot on my face. The only thing you want to avoid is getting it in your eyes.
definitely, everyone reacts to products differently. since I used it up though I decided to try coconut oil and I swear it's unbelievable! and it's so good for your skin, especially if you have dry skin which I definitely do.
I'm the same with that hairspray, I don't get what the fuss is about. I rarely use hairspray as well, I only use it when I'm curling my hair and the Garnier flexible hold (not sure what it's called exactly but I don't think they do many anyway) always does it for me! It can keep curls in my hair for at least 4 days and you can brush it out and your hair is still pretty and it keeps it's hold... It's amazing!
I know this video was ages ago but i think you would LOVE MUFE face and body it's light buildable coverage and wont get cakey. Also. Macs moisture concealers are awesome you can just use it all over your face. LOVE your videos girl!
omg I have the mac face and body foundation and I have suddenly got loads of spots on my forehead!! didn't ever consider it could be this, ill try not using it for a bit, thank you!!
If you have dry skin, try Nature's Gate In the Beginning cleanser. It's insanely gentle but it removes even eye makeup no problem. And it leaves my skin feeling super super soft ad moisturized. It's about $27 but it's a huge bottle and completely worth it.
Love your videos! Just picked up the wet/wild yellow mascara today, was buy 1 get 2nd 50% off at rite aid! did you ever try kids toothpaste? fruit flavored or bubble gum? might not make you gag?? just a thought.
I like some of the ponds stuff... it is VERY THICK tho.. I like to use it to remove makeup.. when I don't have wipes... but they have more than that one... try the cleansing one... I wouldn't use one for a moisturizer tho.... like leave on the skin...
I, personally, like the Neutrogena Naturals makeup remover. Maybe because I have oily skin? Or that I follow up with another pore wash that has oil in it? I don't know. I liked it! It lacked instructions, though. I know you can use it on your face, but I wanted to know if I should avoid my eyes (which I use it there anyways, no problem).
Everyone has their own opinion for everything. She is simply giving her own review/opinion from her experiences and her own personal thoughts on how it worked for her own specific wants and needs. Everyone has different skin, hair, and smells they do and don't like. No one needs to sit here and put anyone down from their own personal experiences and opinions. She states some people may love the product and others may agree and not like them at all. But she is saying why she regrets buying them. So calm down people.
***** uhm first of all back off me. Second I'm giving my opinion cuz I had seen a Comme t or 2 where someone had stated something...and if anything ur being rude. Duces!!
Just casually watching this thinking what a cute little highschool girl (thinking she is 16) then out of nowhere "my husband...." girrrlll what !?😳.. lmao
i thought she was 14 when i first watched her then i looked in the recommended for the video and it said "husband does my makeup" i was extremely confused
yes someone who thinks the same way about that loreal hairspray! i had heard so many you tubers rave about that product and thought to grab it one day at the grocery (i rarely wear hairspray but i couldn't let this pass). my o my, i hate it too! :p yes, it doesn't make your hair crunchy and all that, but just as you said, it doesn't do the job of a hairspray. it doesn't even hold the curl and whatnot.
I used to like that dry skin cream from Ponds, but it caused pimples on me :/ and I used that jergens lotion too back in the day!! haha I definitely looked orange...hmm maybe the darker one would work
I bought the Ponds too! It's so greasy and it does cause the littlest bit of pimples on my chin. I bought it only because I'm allergic to literally every facial cream and it said hypoallergenic. This still causes irritation and leaves my face with some dryness even after use! Wish I had seen this before I bought it!
Also sometimes the little thing at the top of the tube that takes off all the extra stuff comes out and sticks to the brush and you wouldn't notice that unless you use it all the time. That makes it a gloppy mess and it happens with every tube I buy....lol.
the girls at mac told me that the face and body foundation does that to some ppl so u have to wear a good thick primer underneath..thats what i do and its been working fine for me and i have sensitive skin..btw whats yr lip color?
lol i really love the ponds cold cream xD it probably smells the same but i dont mind the old lady perfume smell and i use it as a pre-cleanser and wipe it off with a tissue so the greasiness doesnt stay
the ponds dry skin cream is thick so I rub it inbetween my hands first to warm up and break down the product then press it onto my face, I never just apply it straight on, don't know if u were or not but just so you know
I LOVE that ponds face cream. it is so moisturizing for my skin, but I only use it at night, and only if I have exfoliated, because it is really strong
Hey I know this is an old video but did you ever find a toothpaste better suited for your taste buds? If not you should check out Tom's of Maine tooth paste or Toothy Tabs. from Lush. They come in various natural flavors like lavender, vanilla ,fennel etc. My friend also hates the taste of mint and she loves the Toothy Tabs.
The ponds dry skin cream works so well for me and I have very dry skin! The formula does make my skin look a little greasy but that's why I use it as a night cream and I wake up with BABY SOFT skin. And The smell of the cream smells fresh and like a baby in my opinion.
yaa$s girl the smell is bomb! have u tried the nivea cream? in a small circular blue tin type thing? it's a Mexican thing I guess but it's nivea. that smell is to die for!
If you can get a smasgbox primer and use it under the mac you wont get the pimples, I had the exact same problem and a friend suggested this, best makeup tip i ever got 💖
Australis makes a very good face and body foundation which is a dupe for MAC. If you haven't heard of this brand it is a great Australian brand so it might be hard to find
I have had great experiences with that particular Neutrogena Naturals make up remover. I have oily break out prone skin though so maybe it just not good for dry skin?
Just a quick suggestion because I love to watch your videos... I wish you had playlist with same category videos like if I wanted to watch other videos of products you regret buying I could go to the playlist & watch them all

I love it too!!
it changed my skin to better
Do you think it would be okay for my normal skin? or is it too greasy for that??
+Amy Grace I think it would be fine for normal skin! It might feel a little greasy at first, but it soaks in after a bit
+Megan Martin oh good! :)
It's so funny, I love the ponds stuff! My face has never been clearer.😂 I guess it just depends on your skin.☺️
Same! I have to hide my jar of Ponds from everyone else in my house lol!
I looooooove ponds too, i use the blue in the winter time and the pink in the summer. love love love
LOVE IT...smells clean and the smell dissipates quickly
Me too! Ponds reminds of 3rd grade and Mexico
Don't throw your Neutrogena face wash yet, wash your brushes and sponges with it!!!
Going back to your old stuff and it brings back memories of me sitting in my dorm, a little college freshman, wanting to escape life for a little bit. I'm in awe of your hard work and keep it up!
I hate that neutrogena face wash too...It broke me out and didn't clean my skin at all.
I got a huge rash after I used it and my face turned red
Purposeful Pursuits Thats because its for super oily skin!
Mary Aguilera I have extremely oily skin.. but everything works different for everyone. I've found other products I like since then
Im using and thats make my skin more dry and soft, the neutrals can work on your skin!
Purposeful Pursuits Maybe its not meant for oily skin then? I know Kathleen has oily skin so that's probably why you both hated it, I have dry skin and I love it so much!
I don't know why, but I love the way Ponds products smell.
Who's watching this in 2018? Kathleen 😍💕
I just found you and oh my gosh your amazing! You are so descriptive and helpful with your videos and you have dry skin like me (which it seems like every beauty guru I find has oily skin) so its nice to hear what looks good on your skin type. Thank you so much!
not too many people can get away with orange lipstick.. it looks great on you!
That's a neutral face tone for ya.
Oh I love that neutrogena naturals makeup remover! The regular face cleanser without the makeup remover is good too! I like the Neutrogena naturals. I have combo skin tho. Takes off makeup before I use the clairsonic and it doesn't have parabens, pthalates, etc.
I'm so happy that somebody else has an aversion to certain product smells. In my opinion, mac foundation is acne in a bottle!!!
I agree with this...it's horrible for acne prone skin :(
Megan Elizabeth ur 13 tho looooool
:D Megan Elizabeth never heard about the word comedogenic and non-comedogenic? I got acne...i also took accutane so i know exactly what I'm talking about ;) you dermatologist ;)
I'm not 13. I wrote that because I am being stalked and I'm trying to keep away from it.
Yesssss

aw baby kathleen
Try the ELF 3 in 1 Mascara I love it. It doesn't clump my lashes. It spreads them out and lengthen thems!!
I have the Pond's cream and I use it only at night, because it does make your face really shiny. Mine doesn't smell like old people, though. It doesn't really have a strong scent.

omg! thank you so much for posting this!
Annie Oddo I have the same skin type and I use it daily, weird huh how people with oily skin have the worst expirence?
definitely, everyone reacts to products differently. since I used it up though I decided to try coconut oil and I swear it's unbelievable! and it's so good for your skin, especially if you have dry skin which I definitely do.
Your lipstick you are wearing?!? It looks amazing! What is it??
omg! I feel the same way! people look at me like i'm a freak when I say I hate mint!
You can try St. Ives Facial Moisturizer or Aveeno daily Moisturizer for your dry skin.
Hey! I think you should look into
Paula's choice skin care line. I have dry skin too, and it has helped a lot.
I love your suggestions because I have dry skin, brown hair, and an olive skin tone haha finally someone relatable!
You're so funny I swear there isn't a video where you haven't made me laugh lol I love you!
Hey Kathleen, where did you purchase your necklace? I've been on the hunt for one like that but i've never come to find one!
I know this video was ages ago but i think you would LOVE MUFE face and body it's light buildable coverage and wont get cakey. Also. Macs moisture concealers are awesome you can just use it all over your face. LOVE your videos girl!
I love your eye make up here, did you do a tutorial on it?
omg I have the mac face and body foundation and I have suddenly got loads of spots on my forehead!! didn't ever consider it could be this, ill try not using it for a bit, thank you!!
Ooo what lipstick are you wearing?? i love it!
Hey kathleen ! I really like your lipstick, which one you are wearing in this video?
I like some of the ponds stuff... it is VERY THICK tho.. I like to use it to remove makeup.. when I don't have wipes... but they have more than that one... try the cleansing one... I wouldn't use one for a moisturizer tho.... like leave on the skin...
You should try the Soothe regimen by Rodan and Fields! Perfect for dry skin.
I bought that neutrogena naturals cleanser and moisturise. I agree with you!!! Its really itchy! It caused me breakout. :(
OMG I feel you on the Wet N Wild Mascara! I bought the same one and it sucked! I instead bought Rimmel Scandaleyes and its FABULOUS!
Omg im the same!! I absolutely hate anything mint scented, turns me sick and gives me a headache for some reason lol!
Ikr
I am the same I CANNOT handle mint smelling minty lip gloss, lipstick, lip balm, mint gum
yup! jergens light to medium made me yellow too and apparently a lot of people have that problem.
Duces!!
Thank you! Finally someone said it
Just casually watching this thinking what a cute little highschool girl (thinking she is 16) then out of nowhere "my husband...." girrrlll what !?😳.. lmao
p.s. I'm a new subbie you're so cute ❤ lol
i thought she was 14 when i first watched her then i looked in the recommended for the video and it said "husband does my makeup" i was extremely confused
Shes 24 im pretty sure, but deffinately stunning!
If you mix the jergens lotion with a cheap bronzer that stains really bad, it's amazing!!
yes someone who thinks the same way about that loreal hairspray! i had heard so many you tubers rave about that product and thought to grab it one day at the grocery (i rarely wear hairspray but i couldn't let this pass). my o my, i hate it too! :p yes, it doesn't make your hair crunchy and all that, but just as you said, it doesn't do the job of a hairspray. it doesn't even hold the curl and whatnot.
you are like my favorite youtuber :) i love you so much!
You should try CeraVe Moisturizing cream. It has stuff in it that locks in moisture. Its an amazing moisturizer in my opinion.
Love your honesty! Thanks for this one!
My new favorite youtuber❤️
What kind of lipstick are you wearing in this video? Great colour!
And she's super delicate when it comes to fragrances too! She can't stand most scents, but she loves ponds
I used to like that dry skin cream from Ponds, but it caused pimples on me :/ and I used that jergens lotion too back in the day!! haha I definitely looked orange...hmm maybe the darker one would work
Thank you so much!! means a lot
Lol but she uses that Jordana mascara in a lot of her tutorials now.....
Sakina Sehgal sometimes i hate mascaras at first but once some air gets in there the mascara is good...its really weird
Maryann G. weird, i thought that's what causes mascaras to go bad quicker? like if you pump the wand before applying.
it does make the mascara go quicker but at least I'll get use out of it...
Maryann G. its like they are too wet at first, but once they dry out a little its PERFECTION
I love that facial cleanser! I've been using it forever 😂
omg the Jordana mascara is amazing😍 but it does clump😂
the ponds dry skin cream is thick so I rub it inbetween my hands first to warm up and break down the product then press it onto my face, I never just apply it straight on, don't know if u were or not but just so you know
I hate mint too! The Stila ones are like that too! Ah! Finally someone who gets it!
I LOVE that ponds face cream. it is so moisturizing for my skin, but I only use it at night, and only if I have exfoliated, because it is really strong
i LOVE LOVE LOVE the neutrogena face wash!!!!! it takes my face makeup off perfectly. and my skin was super smooth! wow
Hey I know this is an old video but did you ever find a toothpaste better suited for your taste buds? If not you should check out Tom's of Maine tooth paste or Toothy Tabs. from Lush. They come in various natural flavors like lavender, vanilla ,fennel etc. My friend also hates the taste of mint and she loves the Toothy Tabs.
lol this is so interesting i use the face wash and ponds every day and they're the best products i've tried to keep my acne gone.
ellie brown TRU! I KNOW RIGHT SAME!
ellie brown I love that face wash haha. It seems like everyone with oily skin hates it, I have really dry skin so it would make sense.
I love the nivea cream!! but theres so little inside the tin lol
Me toooo and ya they are huh :/ they have it in a glass jar too tho and it's bigger!
lol i know right! am i the only ond who likes the smell 😂
Does she look like Cher Lloyd ?
I luv them both 😻😻
Abm Asma yeah i was trying to figure out who she reminded me of, totally cher lloyd.
She's wearing "Neon Orange" by MAC. Most likely, seeing as she loves Mac and its the only one of its kind. I also have this lipstick.
If you can get a smasgbox primer and use it under the mac you wont get the pimples, I had the exact same problem and a friend suggested this, best makeup tip i ever got 💖
I love the way you are so open about how you feel about things.can you do a "teen girl must have" video because i cant find a decent one!help!xx
Australis makes a very good face and body foundation which is a dupe for MAC. If you haven't heard of this brand it is a great Australian brand so it might be hard to find
wowww the neutrogena naturals cleanser is one of my favorites!!
