🇨🇦 I’m from Edmonton. Live in Calgary since 2013. I have also lived in DR about 10months total over the past 2 years. In my humble opinion… I definitely prefer the north coast to Punta Cana or anywhere else. I have spent a couple months in Punta Cana and even that was wayyy too long. It’s more of a place to stay a few days or a week BUT to live and buy a property I will (eventually) choose the north coast DR 🇩🇴
I've been living down here full-time for the last 10 years. I found your webinar to be very informative. The no go areas at night would be west of the center of Sosua town. The back end of Los Charamicos, Sosua Abajo and Maranata would all be areas to avoid at night. The center of town (day or night) is one of the safest areas of this entire island. The people are nice, the weather is fantastic and life down here is well worth the low cost.
I'm been doing my homework and research on buying @ casa linda for a while & looking into some resale & etc. Definitely love the videos keep them coming
Wow Vicki congrats losing 25 lbs from simply eating more fruits and vegetables, I lost 20 lbs also from eating a mango or a few chunks of pineaapple after eating instead of drinking soda or bottled juices, i love drinking cococut water as well. I'm also an expat living in Santo Domingo but will soon buy property in Cabarete - Puerto Plata Province.
I just came across the video and I love what I'm hearing, I was looking into the Punta Cana area but I'm definitely putting this property on my list first, I do want to say, kinda off the topic but I love the outdoors furniture very tropical and resort feeling
Thank you very much for your feedback! Glad to help and give you some insights of real life on DR's North Coast area. Please feel free to contact us with any inquiries or questions about the area, lifestyle, our community, etc. at info@buyincasalinda.com !!
It's almost time to go back home. Funny to be learning more about the country this way lol. I think this style of ownership will be a good fit for me. The security and management is a big plus. I still have to travel to the US for business, and family. Plus for those of us Dominicans used to the US and other places, it will be cool to still have a lot of our North Americans and European friends around.
Wonderful video I'm very interested in possibly buying a house there in Casa Linda however haven't stayed in Casa Linda yet thinking about coming down in February to check it out thank you for the video great job ladies
Very informative video. Thank you, BUT I must say I am Dominican-American. I will tell you although English is available, I strongly urge anyone going there to learn Spanish, because like in any country you go to if you don't know the language, they will take advantage of you. Being that I have the "gringo" look, they will treat me like a gringo until I open my mouth and they realize that I am who I am. Then I use me negotiation skills to bring the price down or walk away. I have no issue with paying for anything there but not for them to get over on me. After all, it's nothing personal, just business...DUOLINGO for your phone is an excellent program to learn....in terms of technology, it is behind but not by much. They don't offer gigabyte speeds like we do in America for gamers. And those who have children won't like it, lol, but for everything else we do it's sufficient. It's a paradise there if you immerse yourself...
So luxury starting @199k US dollars but 7k usd to Dominican pesos is like almost 400k they convert tht right to the real estate help me understand that
I'm an avid golfer. I've heard that there are plans to build a new course near Sosua. Casa Linda will be at the top of our list of projects to buy if that happens. Hopefully the North coast golf scene improves because these villas are stunning!! Thanks for all the videos. They are highly informative.
Thanks for watching Jim! The closest golf course from us is 35mins away, and many of our owners go in groups to play there. We can't wait to hear from you soon :) Any questions at info@buyincasalinda.com
How much of a down payment is required for purchasing a property? Just started watching your videos, very good information, very informative. Good work.
@@casalindavillas hello, I would like to know about the monthly maintenance cost could be. I understand it depends on the price of the property I guess and taxes. . Can you tell me an average monthly cost for a 2, 3 or 4 bed rooms villas and monthly Morgage payments? Just an average if you can. Thanks a lot 😀
i want to move to casa linda but i’m a lil confused on how much i need to get started and how much i would be paying a month, i saw a video that said it was 350 a month but i’m a lil confused now
Hi there, Thanks for watching our channel! One thing is the cost of your home, and another is your monthly fees within the community. Please feel free to contact us at info@buyincasalinda.com or by whatsapp at +1 849-865-7496 with your inquiries and we'll be happy to address it.
We have two videos all about expenses: Costs of living pt. 1: ruclips.net/video/ehVSMJhlYTw/видео.html Costs of living pt. 2: ruclips.net/video/BkLYYB0sg3M/видео.html If you have any specific questions, feel free to contact us at info@buyincasalinda.com
Is there any info on the demographics there. It seems likes wonderful opportunity but I'm concerned with the lack of diversity of the owners ( not workers) in everything you've presented.
Most of our buyers are from North America. This is due to the ease of flights coming in to the Puerto Plata airport (25 minutes away from here). However we have a great range of countries from around the world, including Dominicans, and all ages. Families, professionals and retirees!
Hi what schools are there? My daughter is currently in grade 2, is there schools busses etc... I would like to purchase sunseeker 3 bedroom this is where I want to move full time from canada Ontario 🇨🇦 Toronto
@Michelle B Hey Michelle! We have a broad variety of schools, most of them with international kids, just like your daughter. We recommend you watch this video explaining more about Sosua's lifestyle ruclips.net/video/VxuJWJ4MSUg/видео.html ; Or email us at info@buyincasalinda.com for assistance!!
@Michelle B Hello, I'm too very interested in these properties and I've been watching several youtube channel showing their Villas. I also have a school age daughter that will enter High School in 2022/23 I'm from the U.S.( NYC). Question did you visit Casa Villa Yet? This is my email address sharondacheco@gmail.com. I will love to hear your insight
It's funny that you have Americans and Canadians in these positions that make these videos that are not bilingual this is very important. Why you are trying to represent a Spanish speaking country.. when making such videos there should be someone that can translate what they are saying because you have Spanish speaking people that would like this information but can't receive it.
Hello, in order to open a DR bank account you will need your passport, a recommendation from someone the bank knows (friend with an account), a letter of reference from your home bank (these are generally a form letter with states how long you have had accounts, they are in good standing, etc.) Good banks here are Banco Santa Cruz and Banco Popular. If you'd like to read more in our buyers guide, please send us an email to info@buyincasalinda.com and we will send it to you. It has lots of good information about real life here :)
Casa Linda Villas Dominican Republic 1 second ago Hi there, to answer your question regarding property tax, the short answer is 1% of the government assessed value of the property. Most properties are assessed much lower than market value, however. Also the 1% is calculated only on values over $6,858,885.00 DOP (approx $120,000 US) the first amount is exempt. In Casa Linda, owners are paying between $800-$2,000 per year on average (depending on the value of the villa).
