- Disclaimer - this is not a professional installation of pioneer sph-10bt and is related more to my Project B5 Quattro than installment.
This is going to be the new project car and the aftermath of Project b5 series and this is my new Audi A4 B5 1.8T quattro.
In this video we will focus mainly on two things : removal of previous car audio systems amplifier wiring, and installment of pioneer sph-10bt headunit in to our new audi a4 b5 project car.
I hope you enjoy it and I have just found a way to up the game of video quality so from further on Videos are going to be more enjoyable to watch so stay tuned and hope you're as excited as I am!
Cheers!
I got the same tool set when I saw you show it I want sicko mode ngl ;)
What is the part number for the ISO harness you used ? The ones sat ontop of the new stereo box in opening clip
Whats the part number for that wiring harness?
Hi any idea where i can buy the wiring harness for Audi a3 2005
Thanks for this Video! Could You please post Amazon links for all the parts needed? Thanks a lot!
We did fitt he same unit in a ford focus mk2 2008 with a 1 din adapter panel plugged in the wire connectors but my rear speakers dont work, if I use fader all to rear I dont get sound from front, speakers do work on old radio and wires plug in 1 way so I think I have to adjust something in the menu of the radio but we cant figure out what has to be changed.
Pilar Garcia Hi! All though I have never dealt with the car you are mentioning, but if the speakers worked before the new radio then it is more likely that something is not connected properly or your car has an dedicated amplifier for the rear speakers and the new radio dose not communicate with the amp. You should really check this in google, be cause i can guarantee that it’s not radios fault. Sometimes it’s as easy as fitting a radio harness adapter kit
I have this radio. And I have a subwoofer and an amp. And I plug the sub wires into the back of the radio and it still doesn’t work with my sub. My old radio works thou with the sub. Does this radio not work with a subwoofer. It had the same plug ins on the back thou.
Few things to check. Make sure you use right outputs for your subwoofer labeled sw on the back. Make sure you have attached remote on from your amp to radio harness. And finally If that doesn’t work check the radio settings with the app on the phone to make sure subwoofer output is enabled, It might be off from factory. Just enable it back if thats the case. I don’t own this radio any more, but I hope this helps. Cheers!
I got kinda unlucky luck that I got same radio to Audi A4 B6 and plug it in same method and nothing work :/
Hi, Do you have a diagram of how you wired the harness to the adapter? I have a 98 a4 and while I have the brown and black plugs I have a few extra in mine
It sounds like your car was either equipped with bose sound system or has the most basic 2 speakers in front doors. If you have bose you will need a adapter so everything works fine, if you have only the two front speakers then that’s really all that you’ve got and without further speaker installation you will be left with those two speakers. Thanks for comment ! 🤗
great video mate, sorry to see that you had to deal with a mess of wires in the back deck. I picked up a pre-facelift b5 a4 2.8 quattro and only did a line output adapter to add an amplifier and bass but the stock radio really doesnt have enough power to push any bass signal to the amplifier so im evenutally gonna have to swap in an aftermarket head unit. Its like standard protocol to always modify a car stereo on a car right? B)
One of the first necessities after maintenance. Simply can’t drive without at least some what okey music. But seems like you’ve already done the most par of the install, a sterio would take like 20minutes to swap and it’s worth it. Improves sound quality and I would highly suggest to install sound treatment material in doorcards and on inside of the doors, it helped me tremendously with bass and mids 🙏👍
