  • Save $10 per meal cutting your own meat as opposed to buying meat pre-sliced. You probably save upwards of $50 per meal as opposed to eating at a restaurant. Do it a few times and you save enough to buy this machine. Normally, you would consider this expensive but not if it displaced you eating Shabu-Shabu at restaurants or you no longer have to buy pre-sliced beef. This is actually my second machine as my first one lasted for 10+ years and saved me more than enough to get this one.

    Wow, I wasn't expecting the internal teardown demonstration, but that was definitely appreciated. What a great quality machine!

    This would be also awesome to make carpaccio and roast beef. Nice to slice Canadian Bacon, which you can smoke yourself (tastes way better than store bought and it's 5 times cheaper).
    OMG! It can slice it fully frozen??? Awesome!

    What thickness would you suggest for Shabu Shabu?

    why didn't you get the kws one for stronger motor and better blade for around 35$ more?

      You have to draw the line somewhere and so far, there has been more than enough power to slice frozen meat. Beswood blade is a chromium-plated from Italy but given the choices, I think any of them with that same design is a good machine.

    Does this machine cut thru bones, for example like T-bone steak?

    How thin did you cut it for the shabu shabu?

    • @BeatTheBushDIY
      @BeatTheBushDIY  10 месяцев назад

      Depends on what you like. I use around 1.5, too thin feels like not enough content, too thick and it not as satisfying since you have less pieces.

    I've been on the fence about buying a meat slicer. Since I live alone and I don't consume sliced that frequently, it doesn't make sense for me to get one. But if I had a family or SO who did eat a lot of sliced meat or maybe I barbeque/roast meat thats intended to be sliced a lot, then it would make sense. How frequently do you use this machine?

    • @BeatTheBushDIY
      @BeatTheBushDIY  Год назад

      I used my previous machine pretty consistently for shabu-shabu 1-2 times a month. Eating out at a restaurant is about $40/person vs $7-8/person at home. Eat it 10 times and you paid for this machine already.
