- I don't know a whole lot about cars but I'm documenting my process as I learn more by experimenting with my own car, I try to do all the work by myself where I can. Why not follow along with the journey and subscribe I would love to hear people's opinions as I embark on this adventure into the automotive world.
Unboxing, painting, and fitting of the aftermarket Maxton Design RS spoiler for my Mk7 Ford Fiesta painted panther black with a silver fleck to match the car. This was the next modification after the new hornet exhaust not sure what else I want to do with the car just a few small bits, if you have any suggestions leave them in the comments and ill see what I can do :)

I drive a North American market 2017 SE. I'm getting one of these I think, and doing mine in black spray bomb Steel-It, to match my hood, mirrors, and soon my bumper cover, and chromed grill. My car is blue candy metallic, and I have the retro 80's style Ford bright silver metallic double 5 spoke rally wheels. I'm experimenting with a DPS6 DCT, and an Eaton M24 roots blower, on my 1.6. No turbo.
Looks very nice, but why not painted the original spoiler black aswell, so it looks as one spoiler? :)
Good question, yeah I've seen others done like that, if I'm honest I was just lazy and didn't want to sand down the original one and pay for that to be sprayed too. Plus I quite like the look of it as is
Did u drill holes in the boot for the 2 centre bolts just waiting on mine being painted
Only used one of the two center bolts on each inner bit, as I didn't want to drill into the metal roof panel of the car, it's been held on fine with 6/8 bolts as I also used a lot of mounting tape, hope this helps 🙂
@@NAUTOG cool cool am in the same boat about trying 2 lining it up 2 drill the holes when its back think I’ll get the tape or some Tigre seal when fitting it
may i ask how much down force it produce?
I honestly couldn't tell you tbh sorry
Roughly lots of downforce
Is that ur first car
Yeah it is
What size bolts did you use to mount rs spolier to standard spolier ?
I'm not sure on the exact size, the Spoiler came with bolts from Maxton design so I just used those. Hope that helps 🙂
How much was it to claim on your insurance
Luckily it didn't cost any extra with Admiral 😄👍
Purchase link please
It's from the Maxton Design website just search for Maxton design RS spoiler for ford fiesta and it should come up 🙂
I've also just added the link to the description of the video if that's easier
Does it fit perfect or is there any gaps?
I wouldn't say it's a 100% perfect fit but the gap on the two middle connecting pieces isn't really noticeable, I guess it depends how much of a perfectionist you are 😄
does it fit a 2010 mk7 fiesta
Yeah it should be no problem😁 👍
@@NAUTOGshould i take off the boot spoiler and attach it to that then put it back on or do it while it’s on the boot
@@NAUTOG and what kind of bolts did you use did you use the one that came with the spoiler
I took it off and found that much easier and yeah I used the bolts it came with 😁
@@NAUTOG sound out lad doing it meself today
