They cast a lot of poison puddles, plus have huge area attack, meaning you and ~all your minions can absorb (and deal) a huge damage
The Bramble and Slither are not desired when pushing. Unfortunately the poison puddles don't proc thorns. The good bosses are Scourge of the Land, Blood Bishop, Den mother, Hivemaster and Chief Marauder. When pushing the limit, if I see other bosses, I just step out of the room and tp.
And I just ripped my character pushing to the limit (will put out the successful clear later this week). I was a bit too greedy trying to stand still and took many burst spells at once.

Great work, buddy! Did you make any tweaks to your build before heading into the pit?
Changed a couple glyphs to get more damage (but lost some DR). For gears it is very hard to get upgrades now.
What version of the build are you using?
Using a pushing variant with slight changes in the paragon
