It is, but I know in my grandmother's generation they would play with it in their hands, and I think in the 50s they still let kids mess with it in school. I think if it's very light exposure it won't kill you immediately. I sure as hell won't touch it though. Lol
@@shanelevene4864 - The glitch was there but I think the video's been edited to remove the worst of it. Didn't you notice that it went from "here, put on this green hat" to visiting the Alhambra Palace without actually finishing the exercise?
The vapour is much more toxic than the liquid form. It sure isn't a good idea to have a lot of contact with it, but occasional contact such as at 18:50 is really no big deal.
It was fascinating until about 13 minutes in, then blewy! It sounded like gears binding, then I could never get the sound and the video to match up again.
... also, the many salts and organic compounds it can form are *really* toxic because (more than even inhaled elemental vapouor) they accumulate and remain in body tissues. See "Methyl mercury" and "Minimata Disease". :-)

Hello there! I believe that I base my facts on time on the change of seasons. There are 4 seasons. Sun rises in the East and sets in the West. The disgusting truth is that the beginning of time and recording of the stars alignment in the East. There are time zones establish in order to tell time. Japan is where the land of the rising Sun sits with timezones. Spring and Autumn seasons and recorded in the Spring and Autumn manuals of Chinese history. Middle East is around highnoon, the season is Summer which was once upon a time Winter during the ice ages therefore sand is often found on beaches. Antarctica is to be determine because of climate change... There are polar shifts in history. Bipolar disorder exits because people are connected to the Earth and people are in denial in blissful ignorance about TRUTH in Chinese history. Om Mani Pad Me Hung! ETN....

Where can I buy this series? I am a teacher of Earth Science and this would really help explain it to my students??? I can't find it anywhere!
Try the BBC or BBC4 website. This was part of the Open University, so you can usually get copies, companion books, etc.

Actually, elemental mercury is poorly absorbed through the skin. It's the vapor you have to be careful of.
