Thank you Capitan. I'm fan of your videos from Iran. I am glad to hear you say the name "persian gulf". And I hope you Americans really understand that we are not your enemies. Our rulers define their existance and ideology by creating a semi-unreal hostility between our nations, but most of the ordinary people don't like or support that. I just want to say we hope to stablish a good and fair relation between our nations as soon as possible.
I'm a Persian Gulf War veteran and had great experiences with the people of the Middle Eastern Region. Kind, generous and thoughtful people. They deserve the respect of being able to defend their borders and interest.
For smaller countries like Iran, nukes are effectively an "anti-regime-change" weapon, and acting like an unstable war-mongering lunatic also serves that goal, and tempts American leaders into being equally bellicose in return. The Iranian leadership can then play this to their advantage domestically by setting themselves up as the defenders of the nation against foreign aggression.
I really enjoy your style of presentation discussing the capabilities and significance of foreign countries without constantly reiterating talking points of the US’s political machine. These are large achievements in a short amount of time with limited outside help and budget.
When I was in the Navy in the late seventies and stationed at Point Loma, there were three old diesel subs at that location that we gave to Iran. I believe this is when the Shah was still there.

At 14:20 you mentioned the Caspian Sea as landlocked. Since 1952, the Volga-Don canal has allowed sea travel between the Caspian and Black Seas (and thus out to the oceans). The length and width are well within capabilities, but I believe the locks are very shallow (sailing rivers after all) at 12 feet. I think Iran also has grand plans to construct a over 400 mile canal from the Caspian Sea to the Persian Gulf, which is shortly behind a suspension bridge to the Moon in their capabilities right now.
We have garbage subs in Australia too (Collins class) but crewed by some of the best sub mariners in the world. You do know that Iran has 3 Russian Kilo Subs that have far greater range, firepower & depth capability and they are the backbone of Iran's submarine fleet in the Indian Ocean! Iran's Fateh class subs are specifically built to cover areas between Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea all the way up to the Gulf of Aden. 1st Iranian designed sub was the Nahang class, Iran's also built ~20 Ghadir class subs for the Persian Gulf that was developed from a North Korean sub ( Blue prints & specs purchased off North Korea) and Iran also has a +1200 tone Besat class under development(still years away).

Why the Caspian Sea? Quiet research and testing? Project power like the Graf Goetzen on Lake Tanganyika but how many targets are worth an expensive torpedo? Is there some way to haul it to blue water? A long way to the southeast and then south? Maybe it could be built in sections like the Graf Goetzen?

What benefit does one of these have in a landlocked sea?
Testing new ideas and tech in private.
@@SubBrief That was a thought after I posted this. Much like the aircraft carrier trainer we had in one of the great lakes during WWII. Would let them train a crew on it while their boat is being built in the Persian Gulf. Then rotate them to their finished boat and bring in a new crew to train.
@@SubBrief At least till the next satellite pass?
Check out what we do up @ Lake Pend Oreille. Even open-source stuff will raise your eyebrows.
@@NorthForkFisherman Or the Israelis work out a deal with the Azeris and analyse the hell out of it.
Thank you!
I suppose we can't talk about how trackable this boat is.
Could you maybe some time talk about the Scorpene class french diesel subs?
Why? The French always surrender and eat cheese.
Hi Sub, great video 📹 as always. How did you get Linus from Peanuts to play your Outro song. I know he isn't cheap, lol
1st they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you......and then you win.....I see they are in between 2nd and 3rd stage with that....respect.
If you don't have to reload the torpedo tube, you can save a lot of space, weight and noise.
Building your own weapons systems is advantageous as each thing you do increase the expertise of the nations military which further increases their independent ability to project power.
It looks great, could you deliver one to Fargo?
Bravooo Iran. Keep ip with the good job.
lol, be nice.
How much cost and upkeep what present effective?
Why the Caspian Sea? Quiet research and testing? Project power like the Graf Goetzen on Lake Tanganyika but how many targets are worth an expensive torpedo? Is there some way to haul it to blue water? A long way to the southeast and then south? Maybe it could be built in sections like the Graf Goetzen?
Interesting. Thanks for posting. Liked.
I just discovered your videos and I am really enjoying them. I like how you present the information.
I was wondering if you could do like a basic jargon video for some of the terms that you use, like what is a causality? Or what is ECM? Anyways, super interesting videos!
Great stuff again! Had the joy to click the like number 688 ;-)
congrats!
That pic of the people welding is funny as hell to me... I dont know why it just makes me laugh....
Very curious as to the IRN Tactics and intentions. IRGC not withstanding, would they use it similar to WWII German or WWI naval tactics. Do you have any info on a "Submarine Tender" of theirs? Fuel oil and Halal foods etc.
Isnt it a North Korean submarine from the begining? I think they have taken a North Korean submarine that they have modified. I maybe wrong. What does Janes fighting ships say about them?
Read all about >>>>>> Iran Flight 655
That sort of thing is going to happen again soon , when was the last one, Ukraine/Russia I guess. This is a scary speck of dust we live on, this is why everyone should be playing Escape From Tarkov .

Great informative video thank you.
You're welcome
Im curious,is the 1200 ton besat class submarine the sucessor of the fateh class submarine?great video btw.
That was based on a Russian export project that seems to have not found any other buyers so it might have been dropped. The Iranians don't seem to have talked much about it in years.
@@williammagoffin9324 thanks
Can you do one on submarines in the baltic sea
Nice vid
