I wasn’t overly keen on the man originally but he’s certainly grown on me and I also think he could well be one of the voices that will get this ffp BS ended
Eddie is the best manager since Robson! I hated it when Robson was sacked, he didn't deserve it! Some fans calling for Howe to be replaced when Spurs & Man city lately have also had questionable results is crazy! Football is never plain sailing, sometimes you have to ride the storm!
I thought it was a good interview and Jordon asked the questions that we wanted answered with Eddie did. Really enjoyed the interview both gave a good account of themselves.
Jordan has been fairly consistent on Talksport that FFP has stopped Newcastle from spending like City did when their takeover went through. As far as Mitchell’s comments about the transfer dealings are concerned everyone seems to take it as a criticism of purchases under PIF…but he’s more likely to be referring to outgoings of legacy players signed to long and expensive contracts under Ashley which is a major issue few seem to mention as the club have been able to offload them in order to ease FFP / PSR…they’re unsellable as they’re overpaid whilst not playing.
Loved this interview, I’ve never been happier with a toon manager since wor bobby god bless him. We are so lucky to have Eddie and wor bobby would very much approve of the the work and effort Howe has dedicated to us from day one. The Eddie out brigade should take note and appreciate what we heve because you’d soon find out how good he is when he’s gone
That was needed, a few things explained and we need to start and trust Paul Mitchell. Get behind the club and let stop bickering. Eddie is right, its all media crap.
Matty you missed this... Jordan "Do you work FOR Mitchell?" And Eddie's reply was "I work WITH Paul". That means PIF recognise the work Eddie has done and don't want Eddie to be below Paul. I think this is the right way forward for success. Mitchell needs to prove himself by finding several young Minteh players. And let Eddie focus on the first team.
I noticed that it's the second interview (previous was with Neville) where Eddie indicates he is scared of upsetting the players which explains why he plays the same people in every game regardless of their performance.
One slight change, Matty. What Kyle said was, he couldn't get all of his team to agree to come to Celtic. Did not have different ideas about his backroom staff, he just could not get multiple individuals on his team to agree to move to Glasgow and join him at Celtic!
I watched the whole thing, it was good to see someone ask hard questions rather than generic ones that are usually asked. I like Simon Jordan, like him or not, you have to agree that he does ask questions that other journalists don't have the bollocks to ask.
People don't like Jordan, but let's be honest, it's actually refreshing to hear real and honest questions. Brilliant interview, and I'd imagine howe has garnered a lot more respect from being able to get through that type of interview. Jordan holds no punches and that's what we want to see rather than this soft, scripted, easy questions where we know the answer before the question is even asked. How many times do journalists ask stupid questions that do nothing to learn about what managers say. Qs like "how important is it to work with the players you have" At least Jordan will take the piss and say it to your face 😂.
I’m a big Newcastle fan but be it interviews or press conferences it’s the same old same old from Eddie. Copy and paste. You know his answer as soon as the question is asked…. I respect him greatly but as a listen he’s quite mind numbing tbh. This podcast is entitled “Up Front” for this episode you couldn’t be further from the truth….
Think about the questions he's evasive about 1. Giving away strategy or starting 11 2. Inner workings of Newcastle's transfers 3. Who's to blame for the Guehi saga 4. His working relationship with Amanda, Ashworth and Mitchell 5. The political aspect of Newcastle's ownership model He'd be inviting unnecessary backlash or giving away valuable information. It doesn't make for a compelling interview but he's smart not to divulge too much, or create division
BTW Jordan has been ripping into ffp for months and always said we been hung out because of it and its wrong
I wasn’t overly keen on the man originally but he’s certainly grown on me and I also think he could well be one of the voices that will get this ffp BS ended
Good interview. Good to see Eddie Howe came thru like he did👏
I like simon jordan me he's honest and straight talking,
Eddie is the best manager since Robson! I hated it when Robson was sacked, he didn't deserve it! Some fans calling for Howe to be replaced when Spurs & Man city lately have also had questionable results is crazy! Football is never plain sailing, sometimes you have to ride the storm!

Jordan is brilliant. I listen to talkSPORT religiously and he is a very intelligent and knowledgeable man..
And very opinionated

Good video Matty mate keep up the hard work
Simon is a good at interviews but eddie is the master

@@levstone415 nah didn’t miss it, mentioned it in the video, even included the actual clip of them saying it so you must have missed it pal haha.

I did not see you taking this angle but massively respect fir what I consider keeping it real
👊🏻👊🏻
Jordan tested Howe and it was good to see. Called him a gatekeeper 😂😂
Couldn’t believe it😅
Could say the same about Simon at Crystal Palace ….clearly not an ‘ elite owner’
Eddie tap dancing like prime Billy Elliott

Was a great interview although eddie did try to dance around a few things it was still a great interview i think simon was fair
Eddie looks like the school boy in front of the master. Redic set up small seats etc.
Hats off (if you wear one) to Howe for facing Jordan.

Simon has actually been on a number of tangents about how the blatantly obvious roadblocks have been put up since the Newcastle takeover.
A proud Englishman would never take the Celtic job. He’s never going to say that up front with the state of their fanbase, but we know why
Eddie's a serious pl manager wtf would he wanna manage Celtic lol
Anyone wonder what the motive is to do this podcast ? I can't work
Out why Eddie would do it
Jordan just flip flops to get engagement
Eddie is a top man, Jordon likes the sound of his own voice,he is disrespectful and arrogant.
I disagree
It's time for Eddie to go. We are going backwards

@@daveramsay5692 yeah I posted it there as well
Sow howe wants to work together with the sporting director but howe wants all the power of transfer it's not going to happen
No, he just wants a say on who is coming into the team, as any manager would
“Sow Howe” - 🐷
@dionpilkington6111 and whith 99% chance it will be a guy from bournmouth ore some over priced british player

Why would a top flight active manager be doing a podcast in the first place??
He's putting himself in the Christmas shopping window.
Putting himself in the shop window? By doing a podcast😂 moron
Talk about jumping to conclusions…
Fickle Newcastle fan as per 😂😂
