I'm Thai. There's another delicious Pad Thai restaurant in Bangkok. Ban Yai Pad Thai which has now become a Michelin restaurant I've been eating here since the restaurant wasn't famous and was just a Pad Thai cart. Thai people call this restaurant Silent Pad Thai. Because the person who owns the shop is hearing impaired. It's a Pad Thai restaurant that uses a charcoal grill and has a very strong flavor. You can eat it without adding any seasoning. And the other shop is in Ang Thong Province. It is an old style Pad Thai shop called Pad Thai Grandma Samreeng It's a Pad Thai restaurant where Grandma makes the stir-fry. It's an ancient recipe using a wood-fired stove to fry use duck eggs and raw mango and star fruit instead of lime. If you have a chance, you must go and try it.😁😁🙏🙏
Gary my friend, Pad Thai is basically the Chuck Norris of noodle dishes. It’s a culinary ninja from Thailand, stealthily conquering plates worldwide with its power-packed combo of stir-fried rice noodles, a squadron of shrimp or chicken (sometimes tofu for the vegetarians who like their food to be in ‘stealth mode’), all under a shower of crushed peanuts - because, why not? It’s like a party in your mouth where the spicy, sweet, and sour flavors are doing the tango. Eating Pad Thai is like giving your taste buds a VIP ticket to a flavor fiesta they never knew they needed an invite to! Yummylicous ❤️💯
We watched this with my Pad Thai obsessed daughter and she gives it the thumbs up. She doesn't think that she can go back to the Farang version now. Only 22 months till we're back.
Wowww- we will be in Bangkok the 3rd week of February & will definitely give this place a try! This looks like a “next level “ pad Thai and thanks for sharing this video Gary 😊
Going to Bangkok in a week. Definitely going to try this. And I want to thank you for your great videos. Went last year with a friend and explored Thonburi for like a week thanks to you.
I'm Thai and like to eat Pad Thai at Pratu Phi restaurant. At that restaurant, Pad Thai was very delicious and paired with the restaurant's orange juice.
This dish changes in taste a lot from place to place.... for example, there's a famous place in Phetchaburi but they absolutely smash it with sugar. I love the traditional prawns but I often order a delicious version, with moo grop/crispy pork from a place nearby.
Nice one. Gonna share this with some folks and family who only know the touristy version of Pad Thai. I guess this was just before your Saigon adventure/debacle. Did I miss something, or did you actually take on a videographer to accompany you on your journeys?
What you just eating looks absolutely amazing and delicious, this is going to be tuff for me if I will to go back home I probably won't found all of the places you did show us on the video .
The absolutly best pad thai You will get at these coordinates: 12°57'34.33"N 100°54'4.17"E It is in Na Kluea, Pattaya. (Potisarn soi 8). Name of the place is Je thoeng. If You are in Pattaya, visit that place!!!!! A huge plate of pad thai costs about 150 baht
Pad Thai, Aunt Lek, Ang Thong Province, the best traditional Pad Thai.
I've only had pad Thai once and it was back in America. To me, it's the Big Mac of Thai food. Sort of Americanized Thai food. But that looks great. We might take the BTS there tonight!
I only had Pad Thai once when I was there as wanted to try a lot of local dished and not the "tourist dish", had little time before moving places so tried either the chicken or tofu one from place I was staying - maybe bit too greasy, I'd an upset stomach later But this place it looked fresh and might try it next time
Gary, you are making me hungry again😊 I will be back in Thailand at Easter. I often am disappointed even going to local restaurants as a foreigner where the condiments (nam prim pla etc) are never put on our table. If I can communicate or just point I get them. What in Thai language should I ask for? Keep up the great work… you have a great RUclips channel
You did not add the usual suspects like chili powder, sliced chilies with vinegar, fried chilies/garlic this time around 😋. Who was your cameraman / person.
I love your videos, could you let people know if they speak English too, people coming to Thailand may find it intimidating trying to order without speaking thai. Just my two pence as i struggled my first time.
I hope the reason you won't be shooting any Talat Phlu videos soon is because you're heading off to visit new places, and not because of anything more sinister! 🤞 On the other hand, if the local "win motosai" mafia have decided to start their own RUclips channel, and don't want you stepping on their toes, can you ask them to post a link in the comments? 😛

I'm Thai. I've never been there before. I must eat it once in my life before I die.and It's more delicious than a 5 star hotel.
Wow , it's rare to see the cook used pork oil nowadays 👍. Such an old school and classic one.
We watched this with my Pad Thai obsessed daughter and she gives it the thumbs up. She doesn't think that she can go back to the Farang version now. Only 22 months till we're back.
Oh man this pad Thai looks incredible
So hood
It looks so yummy. I am a real Thai but have never had a chance to try authentic Pad Thai made on a charcoal like this before. thumb-up ❤
Old-school ❤
Crabs are luxury.
the recipe sounds correct. My mother used the same recipe 60 years ago. Other ways can not compare.
I've never had Pad Thai and I feel I'm missing out because I love chow mein.
Great video as always Gary.
I’d have this or another shop called Narok Taek for my first one 👍

Thanks for this video.

You've got yourself a cameraperson? Thank you, I love your stuff. Wish I was back there, it's been too long.
Thanks Gary for another great video . On my to-do list . Is this the Talat Phlu market ? That would be a kilometer from the BTS station .

Hi Gary

Wow Gary. You’ve slimmed down a lot recently. Congratulations on the weight loss. But, don’t deprive yourself of all that amazing food 😂
Love you gary but I could have sworn a year ago I learned that pad thai was eaten mostly by fallangs from your good self :P perhaps im mistaken!
Yummy im Thai like eat Pad.Thai😊
😀
Do they have a vegetarian version?. No fish oil etc?
Never actually had banana blossoms. looks like it'll taste like artichoke hearts.
You did not add the usual suspects like chili powder, sliced chilies with vinegar, fried chilies/garlic this time around 😋. Who was your cameraman / person.
Bruce, my thoughts, exactly! And a change-up in the soundtrack.
Hi Warren, Sir Butler is mixing it up 👍@@warrenwilliams6535

Is there always pork fat in pad Thai?
Not these days but there should be!
More wan lol
But isn’t that all farangs eat while wearing their elephant pants 😂😂?
