Always had a crush on Mary Ann when I watched Gilligan's Island as a kid. She was still a knockout even in her later years. I was really sad to hear about her physical problems and dementia, and I contributed to her gofundme when I found out she couldn't even afford her health care. It broke my heart to hear when she died during the pandemic. You're lucky if you make it to an older age and still be healthy, but the third act of life can really suck sometimes.
Few women can manage to be hot, cute, and sweet, all at the same time, but Dawn Wells pulled it off, every time!

The scene at 2:07 came from the episode "How to Be a Hero", season 1, episode 23, original airdate March 6, 1965. The other female cast members, Ginger Grant (Tina Louise) and Mrs. Howell (Natalie Schafer) also get tied to stakes at the hands of the headhunter.

Notice how she only wears the short shorts during the first season, After that she only wore dresses and Capri's. Maybe Sherwood Schwartz made her stop wearing the short shorts. Mary Ann was always my favorite. Ginger was beautiful, but Mary Ann was even more beautiful. And look how Tina only made a few appearances on television after Gilligan's Island was over. Dawn did all the reunion movies and Tina refused to do them.

Is there anyone who thinks that they should have put more emphasis on Gilligan and Mary Ann being in love? It could have been done. If they got married, the others could have gotten off the island and Gilligan and Mary Ann could have stayed for two more weeks and had a honeymoon. They would have had a good relationship together. Imagine their kids born on the island.
