Pity the visitors often miss the most beautiful parts of the older Helsinki. Like the Eira district south of the city center, the Huvilakatu street with Jugend style villas is very Instagram friendly :) The Katajanokka district also has plenty of Jugend architecture.
I would be more proper to accept the fact Finland was the eastern part of Sweden until 1809 when the Russians together with the French decided to end the power of Sweden in northern Europe. Finland become Finland for the first time as the Grand Duchy of Finland, a very sovereign part of the Russian empire retaining the old law, private property rights and Finnish/Swedish culture. The country had for the first time in its history a border against both Sweden and Russia and a government of its own, Some of the very best art, music and architecture is from that period, like Sibelius, and Saarinen and many more. During that time Finland become the first country in the world to grant all women the right to vote and not just for men but for women too. Technically Finland's independence is dec 6 1917 but mentally it's from 1809.
pemandangan yang sangat indah sekali bos 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you so much! That’s a lovely comment 😍
Helsinki looks great! I'm hoping to visit there and Estonia this summer.
Nice city! And I liked Tallinn even more 🙂
@@thehomelessitalian we are thinking about moving to Tallinn possibly from the United States. We will visit first, though.
@@wolfriderpack How exciting! Yes, always a good idea to visit first, but I think you are going to love Tallinn
