  • We went to the beautiful island of #Namu'a with our dear friends, the Craig family. They have become our family. In this video, Andrew recounts some of the legends of Namu'a island that our island hosts shared with him. We hope you'll enjoy hearing these legends as much as we did! #Samoa has some of the greatest legends around!
    As many of you know, we recently left our beautiful island home in Samoa to move to Michigan. The reason we made such a crazy move was to continue to help the people of Samoa in a way we couldn't without this move. Joe accepted a position as COO of Spice Jungle, an online spice company. He agreed to do this job in return for Spice Jungle helping the people of Samoa grow their vanilla bean industry and exports. In this way, we can help many farmers in #Samoa earn significantly more money than they can with other crops. Even though we miss Samoa everyday, we are SO grateful that we still have loads of Samoan footage that we will continue to edit and share with you! We will also soon start uploading our Michigan happenings! We hope you will continue to watch with us! Thank you for your patience as this transition has been quite difficult for us. We hope you enjoy this overnight trip to Namu'a! It was one of our most fun adventures while living in Samoa. We hope you will love seeing this beautiful jewel of Samoa as much as we do! Thank you to the Craig family for such an unforgettable trip and sharing your family, friendship, and jet skis with us!

    Uso if you go to Mutiatele the villagers there will talk about Sosai and some of the oldies will talk about his origin. Growing up my dad youse to tell me about Sosai and how he was the one that chased out most of the spirits in that area. He’s always been brought up in stories as a protector of that area. I don’t know about now but back in the day if they held any functions in Mutiatele they use to save a table for him as a sign of respect. I hope a lot more of his stories get some shine.

    please Samoa is founded on God but yet we still talk about those spirits/demons as if they're family members, believe in the LORD Jesus Christ that defeated all those spirits that people still believe in and are scared of, but through the death, resurrection and the holy blood of Jesus, we are free.

    • @originalclaymoreboy728

      Us polynesians had our own gods and religions before the arrival of Christianity. We keep one eye on the past and the other on the future. You probably a uso who has tattoos so please don't be a hypocrite!

    • @originalclaymoreboy728
      @originalclaymoreboy728 2 года назад

      Remember tattoos are also forbidden to wear just like our stories and legends🤔

    • @lone_tua
      @lone_tua 2 года назад +1

      @@originalclaymoreboy728 I know the story of the arrival of Christianity to Samoa, and I do have a tattoo and to be honest nobody is righteous for we are all sinners, but I have repent and believe Jesus my LORD and Savior. If you still believe in myths and legends or so called gods that you heard stories or families told you about those legends, how we got coconuts from a eels head..then you are stuck believing in demonic stories where Jesus came and die on the cross and rose again so that you and I can be set free from.

    • @originalclaymoreboy728
      @originalclaymoreboy728 2 года назад +1

      @@lone_tua they are stories just like the bible. to deny the story of your ancestors is to deny that you are even polynesian these are.the stories passed down through generations, and you ought to know our stories like the bible spoke in riddles also, how are our stories demonic we are honouring the ancestors theres nothing wrong with that at all. Im not saying to believe it we all have our own.paths we walk there are many religions around the world not one religion is above the other we live as equals. I got a question uso, what happened to all our ancestors when they died before the arrival of Christianity do they go to heaven or hell?

    • @lone_tua
      @lone_tua 2 года назад

      @@originalclaymoreboy728 sorry Jesus spoke in parables to illustrate a moral or lesson, the Bible doesn't talk in riddles..I know where you're coming from uso, but if you look at the video that I commented under it's about a story of a (aitu) actually a demon that leaves on Namu'a island, you're are either hot or cold on the subject, it's either you believe in God or believe in these legends which scares kids at night. The Bible is not a story book they were real events that happened and was written down because God wanted them to recorded so that we may know and understand. I know my ancestors and my family the have paved the way for my success, but I also believe that to be alive this far is a miracle from God. So if our ancestors died while practicing demonic (vai faataulaitu) murder, adulterers, where do you think they went?, and by the way if you see they late at night standing under a banana tree, well it's not your uncle, it's actually a demon that came back looking like him.
