We also sold 50,000 shirts last season, and have £105M to invest in the infastructure over the next five years, including increasing the capacity. We are the fittest team int he league, Mc Kenna uses the subs and squad better than any other club I have seen, and this is why we score so many goals late on, and why the subs have scored so many goals. We bought well last Jan (23) and this Jan 24, adding Al Hamadi, Kieffer Moore, Sarmiento and Travis Lewis, all making valuable contributions. We are still not promoted, and it is possible that we will not achieve it, yet I fancy us. I have said since Mc Kenna came to Ipswich that the only 2 clubs he would leave us for, are Spurs and Man Utd, and I stand by that, although Brighton would be tempting, and West Ham might come calling. The project is a big one, and he only dropped into L1 because of the plans, and he is unlikely to leave before the bulk of those plans have come to fruition
you forgot the bit where VAR and the refs will screw you every week if you go up. Enjoy this season because next season will be a lot different sadly😥. Look at the decisions that have gone against Forest and Burnley (who btw were MILES better than anyone in the Championship this season, 101 pts, top scorers, lowest goals conceded, only lost 3 all season and didn't get started for the first 3rd of the season). The gap is huge between the Championship and the bottom 5 of the PL. I do hope you go up though, McKenna has done an incredible job with you, he seems very level headed which you will need in this last few games, to be where you are with those teams around you is pretty special imho.

Forest are in the dogfight now, and Everton always seem to escape, although Brentford are also down there. I don't know all the fixtures so don't have a view on the relegation battle. Mc Kenna will only leave Ipswich for the right opportunity, and that is as much about stability as anything else, and no disrespect, but can't see how Forest would ever tick that box for him. He is outstanding, already, and is also a world class communicator, never mind anything to do with football, and a highly talented manager, again nothing to do with football. On top of that he is highly principled, a great coach and a very hard worker. His biggest challenge will be if we don't get promoted now, not if we do. Hope you stay up

The Premier League is incredibly boring…the same 3-4 teams at the Top, the same 3-4 teams trying to get into the Top 6, the rest hoping to avoid relegation, and all the financial bs that comes with it. When is it the right time to be promoted..? The influx of money, new players, etc, will totally change.
