im am working on my CDL license and i tell you, the trucking industry is in serious trouble, the rules and regs are getting out of hand, they have dropped alot of requirements that used to be mandatory, they now want only 4 maneuvers instead of 5.. your checking only 35 items on the truck instead of 150.. they are basically trying to push out drivers with only basic experience😢
It seems they want to push foreign drivers onto the road, who will work for less and have very little 'moral compass'.

I've also noticed fruits and vegetables rotting from the inside before even showing signs of ripeness on the outside. For example, I was waiting for my avocados to ripen. They stayed hard on the outside for days. Finally I cut one open and it turned out all of them were rotting on the inside and they had to be thrown away. Same with bananas. Green on the outside and rotten on the inside. Food is expensive enough but I am buying food just to throw it away.

UPDATE: I bought 2 boxes of Swiss Miss hot chocolate the other day at Win Dixie. Both boxes were shot. I found that the powder was pure white in the packs. I was going to have some last night and seen it was off. Then check a few more packs.

Update. Just purchased a 50 pound bag of russet potatoes at my local Amish bulk food store, $15.99. Great deal. This will keep me until my garden is ready to dig. The skid of potatoes was nearly full of 50 pound bags from Wisconsin. Potatoes if purchased at Meijer or Walmart would cost me over $30 for 50 pounds. East Central Indiana.

The benefit of dehydrating is that you can store four times the amount in a smaller space. I dehydrate soup vegetables. One quart size container is filled with 20 heads of chopped celery. Another is filled with 20 pounds of carrot. It's worth considering.

A VERY important UPDATE: Texas Education Agency is working on updating the TEKS(pronounced teeks, like teek wood) which are standards for teachers. They now include teaching creationism, including the book of Genesis, and how art plays a roll in creationism.
These are proposed changes that still need to be approved, but are currently online for people to view.

Update: talked to an AF Officer (NG Intel) they have been training for war with China since 2018 but lately (since 2023) they have been doing drills where the whole fighter wing has to be gone from their current location in 24 hours... that's everyone mechanics, offices, arms, planes and equipment... these are CONUS drills... take it for what it's worth but it's the first I've heard of it and I trust the source
I bought a bag of potatoes a couple of months ago in SC with black spots about the size of a big marble in the center.
Done buying gross potatoes 5 months ago, we use dehydrated since, now the same, but better than rot!!
If the center of a potato is split and brown on the edges then it was a problem with inconsistent water during growing season.

Very low stocks of frozen pizza. ZERO gallons of whole milk, les than half stock of 2%.
I like adding cheese and pepperoni to my pizza, couldn’t find any blocks of mozzarella.
Found one kind of sliced pepperoni….
Other things….
They had bananas, low on other veggies.
Meat section was low, but workable, no special cuts at dollar stores, anyway.

Update: Costco announced they would be switching the rotisserie plastic clamshells packaging to Ziploc bags because the clamshells historically leak into other items in the cart and are considered less environmentally friendly. This is not due to a shortage. It was planned for months.
We actually prefer the ziplock bags for this reason.
Tons of stores use the bags. I'd skip the chicken. The coating is full of nasty chemicals.
Local Costco switched to bags a long time ago.. I hate them. Chicken is dry. Plus I used the plastic domes for planting seedlings.

If you have loved ones in nursing homes, assisted living, and/or retirement communities, don’t forget to check in on them. I am sickened at some things we are seeing. Many of those in that population are still trusting of those not deserving trust. We don’t want anyone to be spoken down to, but we can be vigilant in respectful ways.

All rotisserie chickens at my local Wal-Mart an hour and a half north of Pittsburgh have been in ziploc bags for a while.
Dark areas in the center of a potato can be caused by water shortage while growing.

Update, Walmart organic bag of lemons moldy and soggy two days after I bought them . I couldn't see thru the mesh bag to see if they were good. Ended up with 3 out 6 lemons that were okay

I normally get a half a dozen potato plants go to making Tata fruit when the plants do this I normally get a whole string of potato fruit on each plant now I only have one or two on each plant that's the seed pod for potatoes if you didn't know

Update - the water ban in Idaho has been lifted for the farmers for this year.
