I really love Jamie as Jace. It’s not even Jamie anymore, it’s just _Jace._ This is Jace. -This Jace has that edge and uniqueness that the book implies, the series one is Jace the everyday Jock that girls flail over. This Jace’s portrayal is amazing.

Jamie is so Jace. The actors from the series are way too far from what the book describes. Jamie and Lily were the perfect Jace and Clary, everytime I read the books I imagine them. It’s so sad because we’ll never see them again playing this characters :(

As someone who had not seen this movie until last week, I cannot stop watching it over and over. I attempted to watch the series on TV that came out afterwards and I couldn’t be bothered. They should have made the movies for all of the books. The actors make all the difference. As well as the storyline. But Jamie Campbell, Bower and Lily Collins were perfect for this movie as well as the other actors. They were all amazing. I cannot stop watching all of the RUclips videos and the movie itself. I even ordered a copy of it on DVD this week. I did read online that the movie cost 60 million to make and brought in 95 million at the box office. Apparently that wasn’t enough for the movie companies. I think the audience would only have grown with movie after movie. Bad judgment not making the movies as I feel it out ranks all of the other movies of its genre in my opinion. With just Jamie and Lily alone, it’s just so amazing. He is amazing. I read that he did all of his own stunts for this movie and only one with a wire. I would like to know how he did the flip…..that is staggeringly amazing. If I were to envision an angel, I would envision an angel to look like he does. He is a chameleon and judging from all of the things he has done since then, and that movie… he is capable of anything. I am so impressed with these actors. And kind of sad he and Lily didn’t end up together. But one never knows…🖤

The movie wasn't really that good, since they tried to put so much plot into a movie. But, I really liked how the actors were not all outraged about it, they were pretty cool. The actors deserve the world 👌
As someone who's read all the shadowhunter books i can say with ABSOLUTE certainty that the movie is MUCH better than the show. I'm sorry but it was perfect from casting to storyline, although i know that a few things were changed in the movie like the ending but they still made it quite accurate to the first book. I also adore the cast (all of them) if i'm being honest, i know that people like Matthews Alec more cause of his looks & cause they got malec but to me he didn't give off Alec like Kevins did. Kevin looked older than a teenager yes but his aura and acting truly made me think of Alec from the books. Part of this has also to do with the bad writing in the show cause they made both the Lightwood siblings a lot nicer with Clary than they actually were, like it took them 3 books to actually become friends and love each other but in the show they made Izzy act all cheerful besties with Clary from the very start when she wasn't anything like that and don't even get me started on the parabatai bs. I personally would have switched show Izzy with movie Izzy cause show Izzy looked a lot more accurate to her description with the dark hair and dark eyes. What i liked about the movie actress is that she just like Kevin got the character right but like i said before this also is the fault of bad writing in the show. Someone who they did cast really well was the actor for Magnus in the show, he was really good. The rest of the cast is absolutely perfect like Simon, Hodge, Jace, Clary, Valentine, Luke, Jocelyn, Magnus etc looked exactly like i imagined them to look. I remember a lot of people complaining that Valentines actor looked too hot for his character and that he didn't have silver hair but Valentine has ALWAYS been described as a handsome musculair man with a youthful face so i don't know where they got that from? I do think that they should've sticked to the silver hair but who knows they tried and it might have looked really bad but despite that the actor absolutely killed it as the villain. It's been ten years and i'm still so upset that we won't ever get a second movie, and it also won't be the same without Godfrey.

The movie wasn't really that good, since they tried to put so much plot into a movie. But, I really liked how the actors were not all outraged about it, they were pretty cool. The actors deserve the world 👌

As someone who's read all the shadowhunter books i can say with ABSOLUTE certainty that the movie is MUCH better than the show. I'm sorry but it was perfect from casting to storyline, although i know that a few things were changed in the movie like the ending but they still made it quite accurate to the first book.
I also adore the cast (all of them) if i'm being honest, i know that people like Matthews Alec more cause of his looks & cause they got malec but to me he didn't give off Alec like Kevins did. Kevin looked older than a teenager yes but his aura and acting truly made me think of Alec from the books. Part of this has also to do with the bad writing in the show cause they made both the Lightwood siblings a lot nicer with Clary than they actually were, like it took them 3 books to actually become friends and love each other but in the show they made Izzy act all cheerful besties with Clary from the very start when she wasn't anything like that and don't even get me started on the parabatai bs.
I personally would have switched show Izzy with movie Izzy cause show Izzy looked a lot more accurate to her description with the dark hair and dark eyes. What i liked about the movie actress is that she just like Kevin got the character right but like i said before this also is the fault of bad writing in the show. Someone who they did cast really well was the actor for Magnus in the show, he was really good.
The rest of the cast is absolutely perfect like Simon, Hodge, Jace, Clary, Valentine, Luke, Jocelyn, Magnus etc looked exactly like i imagined them to look. I remember a lot of people complaining that Valentines actor looked too hot for his character and that he didn't have silver hair but Valentine has ALWAYS been described as a handsome musculair man with a youthful face so i don't know where they got that from? I do think that they should've sticked to the silver hair but who knows they tried and it might have looked really bad but despite that the actor absolutely killed it as the villain.
It's been ten years and i'm still so upset that we won't ever get a second movie, and it also won't be the same without Godfrey.
