For anyone curious, Eggplant is now a recurring character on Vinny's streams. Occasionally he'll just cut to a screen of Eggplant without context. And Eggplant is on his couch alongside other characters from the stream, such as Gnorts the Alien. His real couch. So there's a good chance that Vinny being in VR means he'll jumpscare himself by accidentally coming into contact with Gnorts. It's a real fucking weird.
I could never understand how people dont have an inner monologue. I literally have like full conversations with myself in my head allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll day long. But then I think back to some of the people I've worked with in the past and realize .. yeahhh there was absolutely nothing going on in their heads most of the time.
In early childhood, we think without words. Later in development, we ramble on to ourselves. We use this self-talk as a training ground for how we later communicate with others. Nobody needs words to think. Words complicate the uncomplicated. Thoughts become as ants in a death spiral. Break the cycle. Think without thought.
Oddly, my inner monologue typically has nothing to do with what I'm currently doing, unless something goes wrong with what I'm doing. I can imagine sounds and songs perfectly. Images as if they are low resolution. Smells as a fleeting deja vu. Taste as text. And touch as text. The inner monologue told me this... Should I believe him ???

I mean the word originating in the UK as another word for football doesn’t make it any less silly in the modern day when the US is one of the only countries in the world that still uses it. Plus the point Nagzz made is still perfectly valid even with that context. The only reason the US still uses soccer as its only word for real football is because for some reason the sport that barely involves feet was deemed football
