I haven't used a screen protector in about 3 years, not 1 scratch on pixel 5, s22 or s23. I always use a case tho and never put anything else in my pocket.
Never had a screen protector since the Galaxy S4..till now on the Pixel 6 Pro. My screens were fine and unscratched since my phones only go on pockets and tables.
I have not used screen protectors since 5 years and am a yearly iPhone upgrader, will sometimes end up having minor scratches but lucky enough to never dropped the devices and never affect trade in value every September or resale value
I couldn’t care less about acreen protectors. I prefer having a slim case. Nothing feels better than the phone’s original glass screen. Unless you’re buying a $40+ screen protector which is inhumane to pay so much for that.

However, now that I reflect on it, my recent phone choices have been budget-friendly devices, so the situation might be different if I were to own a flagship Pixel or iPhone.

Am late on this video but people don’t realize it’s not only keys, coins or dropping our phones get scratched but a little piece of grit or sand we will never see are the ones that usually scratch the screen, that’s why people wonder how my phone get scratched in my pocket with no keys, coins….
In a world saturated with iPhones on the used market that have been cased and protected their entire lives, I can't justify keeping mine naked. Kills resale vs clean copies.
I use no screen protectors haven't used one and over 7 years. It takes a clarity away from the screen It gives it a Gray look. The clarity is much better without the screen protector. Screen protectors are kind of gimmicky cuz they take from the clarity
You know what? I took off my screen protector on my second phone 🤳 and for some reason it works much better. And you know what sometimes it freeze for like a couple of seconds. So I took the damn thing off. I don't got the screen protector and also I don't have a case for my phone. I just like it the way it is normal. Thanks a lot for your videos. Funny how you compare prices of different phones. I would say that a $1000 Motorola phone is not worth as much as a $1000 Samsung or Apple IMO. An iPhone SE for a Razr+ is a good deal though!
I did the same thing I don't have a screen protector on mine I do have a little bit of deep scratches but has not shattered at all I'm surprised. Usually have little spider web cracks on the edges and whatnot it doesn't have that it does have a few highlights a gashes, light gashes maybe but overall it's a solid phone
@@TechOdyssey for me the benefits out weigh the negatives. I dont like the glass protectors because i will either put it on incorrectly or it will get scratched which defeats half of the point.
I haven't used a screen protector for my S22U for most of my time owning it. Like you, I put nothing else in that pocket. It does have some micro abrasions, but they don't bother me.
I normally hate cases and screen protectors. I can't think of a time I've actually used a screen protector on any of my phones. And my daughter is really the only reason I use a case on my phone in case she drops it but. I haven't taken a flash light to my Pixel 7 Pro but there are no obvious scratches on it. I never put anything in my phone pocket though other than the phone so that helps.
I can say from personal experience that one thing that helps with avoiding screen scratches when your phone is in your pocket is to try to keep your pockets as clean as you can as often as you can. I haven't seen a micro scratch on any of my phones being in my pocket for years. I wipe my screen completely clean and then shine a flashlight and never see any small scratches whatsoever. I've handed in phones for trade-in that looked like I had only purchased them a day beforehand because of thia without a screen protector. I can't even remember when the last time I used a screen protector was. Reason why I stopped uisng one? Same as you buddy... Touch sensitivity issues

I don't use a case nor screen film on my Note 20 Ultra. Corning made an excellent glass and I don't see deep scratches. Love the victus glass.
