I know this has been available for several years, but I still find it quite amazing that I can click onto YT and hear private conversations of the US President and his Secretary of Defence, discussing so candidly , their approach to this single episode of the Vietnam war. That it is made available for anyone at all to listen still hits me as a strange privilege. I enjoy/love reading history, especially from the 20th Century. So hearing the voices of key players , speaking of current events at that time is wonderful. Whoever managed to get them up - sincere thanks.

I feel exactly the same way! McNamara's analysis is very accurate.
It’s fascinating to hear how involved McNamara was and how much LBJ leaned on him for guidance.
I am now working for the God-daughter of Robert McNamara's political campaign for Congress.
What a weird world we leave in.
