    The big pliers wrench makes for a great small bearing/bushing field press!

      I've used a pair of them and some thicker flat bar steel chunks to do some bigger stuff and to get to spots I couldn't reach with a single pair. Such a versatile tool.

    uh oh. you're in trouble: "If you are convicted of damaging U.S. bills or coins, you may face fines, jail time, or both. For bills, the maximum fine is $100 and the maximum jail sentence is six months. For coins, the prison sentence can be up to five years." - 18 U.S. Code section 331

      I'd prefer a "350" version combining the head of the 300 and the handles of the 400 version. The head of the 400 is just too massive for narrow spaces.

    I have a set of these and a big air source heat pump. They have been coming in very handy on a few of the massive glands and fittings it has. The heating company that installed it wanted to charge me a fortune just to come round and give one of them that leaked a twist (also because they said they needed to drain and depressurise the whole system). Bought this instead and saved myself loads of money and now a tool that payed for itself 3 times already... as it has since leaked again in a different spot.

      :/ I mean, yes, but it is best practice to flush with nitrogen, and pull a vacuum. You don't want humidity in the system.

    • @varpos
      @varpos Год назад +6

      @thelred-ph3lq it was leaking glycol not air... maybe I should have specified that. So your comment does not apply I'm afraid.

    • @cwell2112
      @cwell2112 Год назад +5

      The addition of the numbers was part of a redesign of some of the sizes a few years ago. They changed the forgings to remove a bit of weight too. I suspect they only invested in new tooling for the most popular sizes and the 400mm is still the original design.
