Argentinian early music Gabriel Garrido gave us if not the best, one of greatest recordings of this important work in music history. Moving performance, amazing singing.
In my humble opinion, the best one. Unsurpassed.
This is, by far, the best version of L'Orfeo ever recorded. Kudos to Gabriel Garrido. The guy is monstruous.

Torres qui non solo è ben superiore agli altri interpreti, ma è anche strepitoso in generale come Orfeo sia dal punto di vista dell'emissione vocale che a livello interpretativo: assieme all'altro ruolo - quello di Ulisse - resta un cantante monteverdiano difficilmente raggiungibile oggigiorno, questa la realtà sonora oggettiva! in questo repertorio anche la sua arte scenica, visionabile in altri video, è corretta, equilibrata e funzionale al canto, alla musica come all'azione e alla storia. Ascoltate e guardate il suo Ulisse che si trova integralmente su yt!!!

For me the best Orfeo by far is Anthony Rolfe Johnson!
