    Huge payload. Holy crap. Was kinda knocking the way the first driver side worth of cabinets were looking. Then guy hops in the back and it all makes sense why that 5500 is required.

    I was fixing to ask you about a hose maker and you went and read my mind and answered the question. That fan system on the beds is an absolute top idea for keeping everything neat and tidy. Thanks for another video Tim.

    Nice truck Tim word of advice running exhaust full time you'll save money brake pads I have a 55 Cummins Dodge and I run my exhaust brake, I leave it on full time you won't burn any any more fuel than what you would do running it without it actually saved on your brake pads I went 80,000 miles before I head to put brake pads on my truck then when I did them they still had lot of pad left keeping my exhaust brake on at all times

    I agree of all the different bodies we’ve had on our mine service trucks the Maintainer is by far the best.

    I hate that you have to say "we bought it there not giving it to us" every time you guy's get anything for the business or personal. People don't believe that TDK logging is owned by your father and you 3 boys have nothing more to do with the company but work for your dad and are not part owner's at all. I wish people would realize that everything in the logging business that breaks or bought is 100% paid for and not given to you all but I guess that's to hard for people to understand. Awesome video keep up the great work Tim

    I line my service body doors with 5/8” plywood and built wrench racks and holders for Allan keys and crescent wrenches an screwdrivers to free up drawer space.
    High density foam makes great drawer liners too, just get some a few inches deep and put it in the drawer and trace a tool out on it with a sharpie then pluck out the inside of the line, keeps tools from rattling apart.
    I like universal hose systems on equipment implements, every hose has a straight fitting, every elbow is its own fitting, it can be its own pain in the butt I know but you just carry 2-3 common size hoses and fittings for a spare and if you blow a 3’ long hose you can stick a 5’ long hose in its place to keep running and pickup the new hose on the way home at the end of the day.
    Looks like a decent service body, them handles probably aren’t much fun when it gets muddy out.

    Interesting. I don't get to hear about such things in my line of work. Pressurized tool box was a neat concept. Like to hear how companies overcome issues over the years and finally come up with a solution. Loved the locking drawers and how easy they unlock with one hand. I thought you were going to have to reach with a second hand for an unlocking mechanism on the slider rail. That would be a pain when you always have a hand full of tools you are putting away.

    The best thing about your trucks is there is not a bunch of different booger hooks going in and out of them. Just mostly you 4. You have to think that makes it easier to keep up with.

    I just found your channel about a week ago. Subscribed and hitting the like button. I noticed the door of the truck said Columbus, MS. Beautiful place. Golden Triangle. My son graduated from MSU and my daughter graduated from MUW. Her in-laws live on Elm Lake and when we get up there (rarely these days) we like to go to Anthony’s in West Point and get a good steak! My wife and I live in Natchez so, howdy, neighbor!

    I'd personally stay away from the VMACs, running these new diesels without working them will turn into a headache down the road.

    Hi ya doing Tim? Been nursing a back for close to two months. Back in the boots a week now. Run a few tanks of 50:1 on my saws. That Cummings "C" engine is a beast ain't it? Looking for a "2nd gen" 3/4 ton for some of my light duty.

    Tim quick question.... do you have a 3120XP saw ?

  • @Redmech80
    @Redmech80 3 года назад

    Tim, off topic but Northport Power said they had received the last shipment of 372xp saws in, that they were going to quit the manufacture of that model, you gonna buy one or three before they run out? I have an older 970 Olympyk that I run for a 70cc saw, half tempted to buy a 372 new while I still can, curious what your thoughts are, and they are also 20% off right now.
