We call Chayote "CHOKO's" in Australia. At present we have a very cold Winter, so I am sprouting 2 Chayotes in pots undercover, to plant out after the morning frosts finish, probably the end of September. They are very good in soups and stews. I will also plant in Spring some varieties of Passionfruit. I have a lot of available fences. My place has 1012m², and is on a corner so it has a lot of extra space to creep into. I am trying to grow Vegetables in many garden beds, but my back gets very sore. So I have to wait sometimes for my Husband to feel inclined to dig up the beds where the weeds and grass have come up again. I used to be able to dig and carry stuff in my youth, and grew up on an Agricultural Farm. But now I have difficulties with Back, Hips and Knees. So frustrating, when I want to have a lovely garden like Ms Hang's and Grandfather's. I do have 26 Chickens.
