For the people that have electric drums in an apartment
Get acoustic blankets and pvc. Make a pvc frame that the blankets can hang on. It can be as big as you want and can hold many layers of blankets.
I have a vocal booth made by this method and walking inside of it is such a drastic change.
My apartment had a basement. Drums were down there. I had mesh heads and low volume cymbals since I don't own an E kit. Did some light easy to remove sound treatment on the walls, and my neighbors didn't even know I had a drum kit.

I’m very surprised that both Austin and Jared new Doki Doki Literature Club, and definitely agree with Jared that it’s a fucked up game, but in the best way possible if that makes any sense. Not sure exactly what a body pillow is? I would assume it’s not like a certain kind of doll, but maybe it’s not entirely appropriate to be in a common area?!
Body pillows are long pillows that were originally meant for side sleepers to hold so their body is in a healthier alignment. What's being mentioned here is a specific type of body pillowcases that go on top of the body pillow and depict anime characters that can range from tame to lewd with them often having two sides depicting the same character on each side of the range (so like one side is a tame depiction and the other is the character nude and/or mid orgasm). Some of the more lewd ones are generally used as a sdoll of sorts and may even have a hole installed or a place for other stoys depending on the personal preferences.

I'm pretty sure that the sister who wanted to copy whatever her sister did was twenty, and the OP of that story was seventeen. That would make more sense if it was the younger sister copying the elder, since traditionally the younger sibling looks up to the older one. But here, that's switched around for some reason.

Yeah it felt like something that got wildly misinterpreted. I imagine LB was completely serious in the text, but the fiance didn't catch the tone, but you know, if you wanted to actually have that conversation you shouldn't do it through text. Also LB could have totally had other problems with the fiance that he didn't bring up and only said in therapy, because why would a licensed therapist say a guy is toxic because of a joking text about a vacation? There was clearly more going on there that the story didn't capture

A few years back I had seen a DIY sound suppressing drum stage you make with two sheets of plywood, a ring of wood or pvc, and lots tennis balls. You sandwich the ring with the tennis balls in the center of it between the sheets of plywood. Spacers were used from a couple scrap chunks. I know not everyone has tools, but a similar design could surely be made for a much lighter ekit. Something to consider in apartment scenarios.

Austin's story reminds me of a time my stepdad was watching our dogs. We were living with them(that's very important for this) One of them pooped in the house(hardwood floors, thankfully), AND HE LEFT IT FOR US TO CLEAN UP! I didn't say anything for a while, but I did give him a look.(things were strained, didn't wanna cause an insane argument) It did finally get brought up, and we all got him to understand that was ridiculous. I can't remember when it got brought up, or who the "we" was, but I do remember it getting brought up.

With the first story there are a few ways it could go to me. I guess the biggest thing is does op know why her bf and his ex broke up? Also does bf do this with any of his other friends or is ex getting special treatment? Cuz maybe they were best friends before and the reason for the breakup was purely compatibility issues (like both are bottoms or one has a kink the other is uncomfortable with or they have opposite bed softness requirements, etc) and so they broke up amicably and see nothing wrong with acting like how they did before they got together. Or it could be that ex is abusive/manipulative and bf is just so used to her unhinged behavior he doesn't even register it fully anymore. Or it could be they cheating on op. Or it could be bf and ex never actually broke up and you're just the side piece she tolerates for whatever reason. Any which way they should probably consider going to a couples therapist and see if they can break down and figure out what's actually going on here and how to fix it/adapt the situation to accommodate the anxiety because the insecurities will not go away they will only get more pronounced and resentment will build as time goes on even if it does turn out to be not really that insidious but rather ops prior insecurities making it seem sketch.

There's a few buildings here in NY that are basically reserved and built for musicians to practice, record demos, etc. They're not really meant to live in (you can, but they're pricey even by NY standards), but they're super insolated and noise treated. I've heard about them in other places, but not sure how common they are otherwise.
