Don’t sacrifice ur sleep... doing that will disrupt cognitive abilities, it’ll actually make remembering/memorizing things much harder. Instead just try to manage your time better, schedule when ur gonna study and for how long each day.
The biggest thing that helped me was going to the end of each chapter (I never actually read the chapters lol) and doing ALL the practice problems. It really solidifies the topics especially if your tests are problem/free answer based

I was enrolled in chem my first semester but I was out my whole first semester due to health so I fail basically all my classes. I didn’t take it spring semester so here I am scared for my fall semester as a sophomore. I think in highschool I didn’t need to study for any classes except AP and so now I need to get a grip and get better at studying.
Im taking chem 1 during covid it’s annoying we only have to be there 1 a week plus my lab but we are required to do tutoring I’m going twice a week on zoom hopefully I can find study buddies our test are online too

I passed bio with 3.8, and currently have 3.8 in phys 1 as well, but I ruined my chem 1! It had 3.0 and now I literally failed two of my chem unit tests, so even here I think it’s won’t be more than 3. And now I am scared that I wont get into medical college lol. This sucks ngl
I like the concept of 'weeder' course. Can't say I've ever heard that before, but it makes sense. I'm a first year Bio Major and I feel like my math course is exactly that. Not saying it because it's an 'unpopular' opinion, but I would look at better time management before cutting into sleep time. Otherwise, good presentation.

But they make it confusing in bomb calorimetry where you have to memorize a million different methods to actually get the answer. Memorization is the main cause, while calculus just requires simple algebra and problem solving

I don't know if it is the same for you, but I hate the fact that they give a question a lot of points score if you miss it and you are gone. As she said, i if you stay on track of what you are learning and do a lot of exercises it will not be hard.

getting 8 hours is ideal but not realistic in college lmao, gotta learn how to adapt and function on less sleep
@@katherinehayes you have to plan stuff, time management wise. Consistent sleep deprivation isn't healthy, and it takes a long time to fix.
As a college student I started to sleep earlier and wake up earlier to work in the morning after a good nights sleep
