The second story is so devastating and heartbreaking, as there is so much that we can learn from that. To men and women, if your partner lies to you or even puts their hands on you, they will do it again. You should believe people when they show you who they are. There are other people out there in the world that will love and care for you.
I just can't believe how dumb the guy is. One beats the partner to death, keeps the body around for half a day and then calls the police saying "hey my wife got drunk and fell". Yeah they are totally not gonna believe that, it makes so much sense
That last one was just horrific. I cannot even imagine. What kind of a hospital doesn’t know if you’re alive or dead? That is so scary and beyond sad. And the fact the she heard her husband and thought she was being rescued only to suffocate mere minutes before they rescued her. That’s one of the saddest stories I’ve ever heard. Poor lady and her poor family she left behind.
I was hoping they could've saved her baby. Initially I thought they were going to say he heard a baby crying. Because death can cause babies to be expelled from the womb. I'd hoped it had a happy ending. But judging by the pitiful care she received, they probably didn't try to save her baby either time. If I was pregnant & had just passed away, I'd consider anyone who saved my baby a hero. Even if a random stranger used a penknife to cut the baby out. I'm left fuming at the authorities. It's sadly still a Latin American cultural thing to believe in bad spirits causing illness.
@@genuinesupporter5467 By the time a dead body relaxes enough to expel a fetus, said fetus would have also perished from oxygen depravation. There is no way for what you thought to actually happen, the mother would still have to be alive for a living baby to be delivered. From the story, it sounds like Neysi wasn't close to due, either, and being in a poor, rural community, the baby would have likely died either way at that gestation.
I'm bent about the man losing his wife. crying by her grave. hearing her scream for help and not being fast enough. that absolutely breaks me. My thoughts and eternal prayers go out to that man
We need bells on our graves like they did in the old days, it saved many people's lives my grandparents told me.. They were put there in case the "corpse" woke up and then they could ring the bell to alert people. My heart and prayers goes out to Rudy and the rest of her family, so unbelievably sad :'(
I cant imagine the healthcare system thier that no one checked for a pluse when determining death. She would have a open shut wrongfull death case here in the States.
Damn. The guy literally picked up his wife’s dead body, which he beat to death, and put some sun glasses on her to trick his kids. That guy is just plain sick and should honestly not be allowed out of prison to potentially do this to someone else.
Yeah, how is 15 years for beating someone to death a just sentence? Maybe, he'll end up spending the rest of his life in prison, but I wouldn't count on it.

*Embezzlement*??? If ANYTHING, that'd be petty theft. How did they even come up with felony embezzlement? If I were her, I'd find out who the owner of that store was and I would sue the shit outta them. As a matter of fact, I'd be pretty pissed at the DA's office as well. How did the DA's office even let those charges become a reality & then let it snowball like this to top it off. Yeah, I'd be throwin a damn fit for sure!
My cousin was the DA in the second largest city in our state. One local video store would CONSTANTLY press charges against delinquent members for theft by conversion, which is a felony in our state. He eventually told them to shove it and refused to prosecute any of their cases. He told them he wouldn't waste taxpayer money to be their enforcement arm.
Your cousin is a real one, that is so unbelievable. I'm so glad that I was too young to rent movies like that because I can't completely see myself forgetting to return a movie or letting a friend borrow one with the promise of returning it when finished. @@chelseaaddams5076 Oh yeah, he's a colorful character. When he was just an assistant DA there was once a two-man crime wave in his city, two guys who were twins named Elvin and Melvin. They were constantly breaking into people's houses and robbing them. One day a guy came home to find Melvin walking out the front door carrying his television. The guy pulled out a revolver and capped Melvin right between the eyes. When my cousin showed up on scene, the detective in charge went up to him to discuss what charges were going to be filed. My cousin replied: "I'm not gonna charge him with a damned thing. As a matter of fact, I'm going to requisition the county to reimburse him for his bullet." He recently retired as the chief judge of that circuit.

I’d run background checks on myself every couple of months. I have an older sister who likes to use my name when she gets pulled over for drug charges. I've had a partner die, but to have the rest? To feel you wasted time thinking they were possessed and then lost her, to thinking you'd had another chance, a few minutes where you believe that this isn't your story together, imagining her smiling, feeling the stress and euphoria of something other than relentless sorrow and pity, and then watching her die for the second time, feeling now that you personally had been too late, too slow, not sad enough to go to her grave a few minutes earlier. It seems unbearable. I hope somehow he has found some peace since.
The second and third stories are absolutely heartbreaking. The second story, how could a husband and father do that to his wife and children? Truly evil. The third story, I can't imagine being in a situation where I thought a loved one was dead but they weren't yet I ended up losing them for real in the end, that would destroy me. That poor family.
I hear stories like the second one and I just don’t understand how someone can do devastatingly ruin their children’s lives by killing their spouse. When people then kill the children it’s just the worst thing you can do as a human in my opinion.

If they didn't wake up during the quick "wake" then they were buried quickly and not embalmed. Hence the graveyard "dead ringer" bells 🔔, sometimes connected to the corpse for the keeper or family to hear.
The girl that got buried alive probably had epilepsy or neurological issues. I hope they made sure she was dead the second time they buried her because she might have been buried alive twice.
I would sue that movie store. Pressing charges for a $15 vhs is unnecessary punishment. They basically effectively changed the course of her life out of spite. They should be held accountable.
Did the people who owned the place die when the business closed? They still persisted to the fullest extent of the law. They never dropped the charges. Charges that never should have been filed. Yeah, for a movie. I heard of something similar (on a TV new report) about a man who checked out some medical reference books from the local library in his hometown, but then moved from there and had mistakenly boxed them up along with his stuff and took them with him. He found them in his attic some twenty years later, calculated the late fees (between 750 and 800 dollars) and rounded it up to $1000.00. He then sent the check, books, and a note of apology to the lady who had been the librarian at the time.
The VHS tape thing was evil. I remember stores doing that. When we rented in our small town I was just charge for replacement of new tape. If they were late for a couple of weeks they would just owe to replace the tape. Like $30 and that is it. I can't stand people who steal, but I would never want anyone arrested over a 30 dollar tape. That is insanity. That is just about how all the stores operated back then though. That was just one sucky thing from the past though. Every small town had public swimming pools, bowling, movie theater, skating and other fun things to do. All of that is gone now. I will not talk about what killed all of that though. It isn't pc.
The story about Za'Zell hit me so hard. It was like you were telling the story of my childhood Christmas's with my Mom and stepdad William. They always had horrible fights around holidays. I remember one Christmas Eve they fought and a gun got brought out. I could have very easily wound up like her kids. I try not to think about it and delude myself that it wasn't that bad. Hearing it from an outsider perspective really put it in perspective for me. Kids should never have to go through that. I guess my brother and I are very lucky we didn't have to bury one parental figure and watch another go to jail. Thank you for telling Za'Zells's story. Victims need others to be their voice. You do them a great service.
I'm so sorry that happened to you too, Susan. You're right.... NO ONE should have to go through that. I cried about it because I was so damn angry and I couldn't believe he'd done that and ONLY GOT 15 YEARS! They obviously pled him down to 15 years and that's DISGUSTING! As a D.A. I'd have thrown the book at him and gone for the max which should have been LIFE (if not death!). They usually only plea down when they think there's a chance they'll lose the case but with his stupid story about her "falling into the coffee table" and putting sunglasses on her, they had to have had a tightly wrapped-up case without his confession. I'm sure her family and friends were so sick over that nothing sentence he got for what he did to her AND orphaning those 3 innocent kids....one only 7 weeks old! He makes me sick and I want to wish him to burn in Hell but I know as a Christian I'm not supposed to feel that way, but it's hard not to! I know Jesus will make him pay for what he did.

@@chrisyu327 I can understand how a man especially would hit a woman he loves (or used to love). Some women can be so evil even Jesus would be scared or be in tears to be in a relationship with them. Manipulation can really cause someone to snap. I just got out of an emotionally abusive, filled with venom and huge tons of lies relationship and I sometimes I wish I had just punched that girl into a coma. Never did get to express my physical violence on her. Loved her very much but for whatever reason, I wasn't the guy she wanted. I did everything for her, even getting her a job but she kept comparing me to her cheating ex and even cheated on me severally with him and others (evidence from her phone). I always got pity sex and you have no idea how frustrating that is. Especially before learning things like red pill or alpha widow nature. I sit down sometimes and remember the things I endured that would even make my friends laugh at me, that I'm either very stupid or I am the most patient person in the world. But they'd quickly follow it up with, you're a very intelligent person so you're obviously not stupid. I'm an engineer by the way (to explain the "intelligence"). The traditional nonsense that everyone who have never been in abusive (emotionally, not physical) relationship is to always tell a man to be patient. Be the bigger person. Fuck that shit. Fuck, I tried to self-delete myself several times, I am f**king rich as compared to my colleagues I sat in the same engineering classes with but I was miserable simply because I wanted to stay faithful to one woman who couldn't respect me. Everyone, my aunts, my own parents, her side of the family always told me to be the patient man. Years I endured this shit and I have receipts from going to a therapist to prove this. Multiple therapy sessions. I could've just done the worst and ended up in jail, probably be enduring shit in there but be happy I expressed my anger. Until recently that her true lying devilish nature came out, the only thing I ever got from anyone is that "oh you're such a patient man". I am not. I have murdered that girl in so many different ways in my mind. So many different ways. When it was time for her to leave my place, I went and called the police to come and bear witness to her packing her belongings, only for them to refuse to turn up at the very last minute with all forms of excuses. I later found out from a colleague, even they could get in trouble for touching a woman or some nonsense of that kind. I sometimes have my whole body visibly shaking just remembering some of the things I had to live through and endure. I am a broken man, and if you haven't been in my shoes you have no idea. I am lonely sometimes. Living all alone in a big house with everything to make a family possible, with money to travel anywhere I want. I have the freedom to travel (software engineer - remote work) but I am not able to. I buy new servers and computing tools just to play with at home. I do a whole lot of things to keep myself busy at night but after I've successfully done all of these things, I get reminded that I am lonely. A girl who has been taking naked pics of me when I sleep at night over the course of the years. If not because the nakedness of a man does not go too far, she's been preparing all these years for when the relationship would go to hell so she can disgrace me. The only thing that stopped her, is her family and the threat of me suing her with all I've got until she rots in jail forever. I want to be a husband, I want to be a good father, but with what I've experienced, I wonder what I did wrong to anyone to deserve any of this. I wonder if I'm cursed. I'm trying my very best not to go into any other relationship until next year. I don't think I am fit to be a man in any woman's life right now. I'll continue my therapy sessions and hopefully, God will help me with a woman who will appreciate my efforts. I do not support or condone any stupid thing a man does to a woman, like ZaZell's husband has done to her, I'm just saying, I can understand what could push a man to doing it. I feel fortunate I didn't do it, but I sometimes feel very angry I didn't do it either.
That last story was so horrible, I couldn’t even imagine being that husband and you learn that she wasn’t dead after going through all those emotions and then you feel probably the greatest feeling ever by knowing your wife is actually alive but then to only lose her again and then go through all the ‘what if’s’ and ‘if only’ so all of that now stacked up on grieving again😭😢

I really struggle with audio stories, but Mr Ballen really has a gift of bringing the stories to life. Almost like as I'm listening to them, there's a TV playing in my head and I can see what he is saying.
In the first story that poor woman should have compensated for all those years of lost wages. It was obviously just an accident, but one that cost her her livelihood for decades. It is hard to believe that such a charge without even her being contacted could actually pursue her. What a corrupt and neglectful system.
Why did she - or did she - give her room mate the ability to rent a video under her name? If she knew, she should have ensured it was returned. It is considered a theft, so I can understand why employers would fire her OR potential employers nix her. Too bad - if I believe her claim - that none of these told her why. Especially an employer. They would have to cite reason for dismissal. Did she even ask? (Maybe story not true?)
@@changeintheair9648 The story says that she did not know and was not contacted about it. And no, not returning a movie is not like actual theft since you are charged late fees until the value of the film is paid off. I don't understand how it was considered felony embezzlement. You have to steal over a certain amount to make it go from a misdemeanor to a felony (it's different in each state... But usually at least $600+) and if you have never had any charges before they usually drop it to something smaller. So how a VHS even with fees could get that high is beyond me.
I used to manage a video store in a small town and yes, I’m that old and we rented VHS tapes. I never turned anyone over to the police though. You figure say the one video is 4.00 a day to rent and if the customer keeps it a year the charges would be well over 1,000.00. We would have customers insist they returned a movie even if the movie was missing and they were the last one to rent it. There was really nothing to do because I would never turn a customer over to the police and we just absorbed the cost but it was very irritating. But not felony irritating!

Yeah that was rough. Like fuck this universe where such a tragedy can even happen, if that were my wife and unborn child I'd hang myself in the woods no doubt.
@@borahmousam6332 and that she ran out of oxygen literally minutes before they were able to get her out since the husband heard her still screaming for help right before that. That's probably the most devastating part, knowing she could've been saved if someone herd her like half an hour earlier. Sadly the husband probably will blame himself forever that he didn't go just a little bit earlier, not that it's his fault but he'll always see it as such in his mind.
"Mommy got drunk and now she's ruined Christmas" that's gotta be the worst quote to leave your kids just before getting arrested for murdering their mom!

Za'Zell a pretty name for a pretty lady, who unfortunately had a relationship with a monster. I hope her children have a better life & that their father is never let out of prison. If you are in an abusive relationship then please reach out for help
I was on the jury selection for william's trial in the second story. At the time, I had no idea why he was there because of course they wanted to keep us unbiased, but as soon as I was let go, I searched everything up and found this story. It was terrifying, but I am glad he was found guilty even though I wasn't in the group to find him so. At the time I ws glad I wasn't on the jury, because of course, I didn't want to spend months of time sittng in a courtroom, but it is weird to hear about this again
On the Za'zell one, I knew as soon as you said they were staying together for their kids despite a rocky and abusive relationship, that that wasn't going to end well. Staying together "for the kids" rarely ever works out well on its own. Add in abuse, and that's even worse.
People just can't understand that 2 parents that are happier/safer separated is 100x better than staying and being miserable. Even without overt abuse, the tension in the house is stressful and you can't hide that. Kids are smarter than some think, they rapidly figure it out.
That's not actually true. A woman who ran a DV shelter said Za'zell had tried to escape him several times but couldn't. People forget that women are the most likely to be murdered when they try to leave. The kids thing if said was probably just the line given to people at that time. She wanted out. She tried to get out. For many women come up by the time they realize they need to leave their abuser have made it near impossible for them to do it, or has made it very clear that they will kill them if they leave. I hate this guy with my whole body and can't believe he was only given 15 to life. I hope he serves every day of his life until hes in the ground himself. The pure EVIL of "MOMMY ruined Christmas". I'm sure that sociopath really believed that too.

That last story was horrific, that is one of the worst ways to go, absolutely one of the worst fears a person can have. I just couldn’t believe how incompetent the medical “professionals” were to instantly proclaim her dead without knowing the cause.
The second and third stories made me nauseas with grief. I've been a fan of horror and true crime for years but I'm still consistently shocked and heartbroken by how people perish. Especially when the vast majority of these deaths are often preventable
I live in Norman, OK. I remember hearing about the lady with the VHS a while back. Does not surprise me that she was never notified. A few years ago, I got pulled over driving a vehicle that had an expired tag and no insurance. This was because, at the time, my primary transportation gad given up the ghost, and my project truck was all I had. Unfortunately, I didn't have the money to get it legal, but I still needed to work. I just figured I'd take care of everything on payday. Didn't work out that way, unfortunately. Fast forward about two years, I get stopped in my new car, and when the cop runs my info, he tells me I'm driving on a suspended license. Apparently, the state had suspended my license when I got stopped in the truck two years earlier, and they never notified me about it. Wound up costing me almost 700 dollars I'm fines and fees, which would never have happened if they had notified me of the suspension
Same thing happened to me. I got a ticket for an out headlight. I was unemployed at the time so on a payment plan. I was exactly one day late on a payment, which apparently suspended my license. This was in April. I went to get my license updated after I got married, which is when I found out it was suspended. Gee, thanks for never telling me. -_-
Ny did the same to me. I found out when I was getting papers together for marriage license. The dmv never received my payment, found out neighbor was stealing mail in the building, so they just suspended me without notice. Few hundred dollars and many choice words for the county clerk and it was straightened out. Such a hassel

This has to be the #1 WORST mr ballen episode. The Oklahoma Problem, was not strange, nor dark, nor mysterious. It was a boring story about a person who irresponsibly loaned out their video store card to a roommate and incurred a lot of fees. Mundane. Mind-numbing. Pointless.
As a narcoleptic person who experiences cataplexy, the third story is especially horrifying and heartbreaking. I've never heard of cataplexy causing foaming at the mouth though.🤔
I am guessing she had preeclampsia and she had eclampsia fit that morning. It causes convulsions similar like generalized epilepsy and can cause loss of consciousness afterwards.
Nobody would ever have known that the girl was buried alive if her husband had not leaned against the tomb. It is such a tragic shame that she did not survive. Her husband looks so young and terribly heartbroken.
I am Honduran, and it's very unfortunate events what happened. I remember the news when it happened and it's sad that the health system in the country and specially in rural areas are so poor that it really is no surprise a mistake this big was made. Thanks Mr. B for including a story from my country. My thoughts are for all the Hondurans who have not had access to proper healthcare.
When I was in high school I read a story in the old “Tales from the Crypt” magazine. The story was about a man who suddenly drops dead on the street. He later wakes up in a coffin buried alive. The man had suffered what the magazine called a cataleptic fit which gave the appearance of death. After reading the story, I asked myself, “Could this ever happen to somebody in real life?” Mr. Ballen just answered that question for me. Horrific is hardly the word.
Wow. The story of Necey! OmG! Gave me the most absolute chills. So damn sad! That poor family, Jesus! That was just totally unexcusable for the DOCTORS to say she was dead, when in fact, she wasn't. So sad! My heart breaks for all her family.
Zazell's story is heartbreaking! As a mother, I remember how much my 7 week old baby needed me, and think how much all my kids still need me now! I can only imagine the trauma this man caused his children by murdering their mother.
The “So, that’s gonna do it!” after that terrifying story almost made me spit my Mr. Pibb out. It’s always so jarring after a scary/sad story. “And her head was never found…So, that’s gonna do it!”

No one has claimed (here) that a mother is any more valuable than anyone else, it's just tragic when a life that everyone expected to continue is snuffed out. If the story were about anyone else you would still see the tragic comments. It's a terrible turn of events to be almost rescued.
Those tapes used to cost $75 when they first came out but to be a felony is insanity. That is a misdemeanor. How can it be a felony if it is not a serious crime against the state
The second one, I knew she was dead before it was revealed. The moment Mr. Ballen said the abuser told the children, "Mommy ruined Christmas." That's classic abuse. Before he got into the story, from the photos alone, I can tell you that it was one person being abusive and their victim fighting back. It looks like "fights" to the outside world, but these types of relationships are usually a victimiser and a victim. It is classic trauma bonding and predatory types look for strong people they can tear down by pushing their buttons until their victims fight back.
While there are definitely always exceptions, the vast majority of predatory people do not "look for strong people they can tear down." You're right that they'll tear you down, but they're looking for a victim, not a challenge. As such, they specifically choose easy targets, with noticeable weaknesses or vulnerabilities that can be exploited.
Crazy because often times the women are terrified in her case and don't seek help but if they end up loosing it and killing the abuser they get murder charges the system is messed up.
@@justleon721 idk, I met this guy when my confidence was in a good spot, and over months he tore me down and he loved it. I'm not a fighter, but for some reason in this particular relationship I would get right back in his face after he got into mine. I'd follow him around yelling (just like he did to me). I'm honestly really surprised and grateful he never hit me. That would have broken me for sure lol. Our fights were NEVER over serious things but the way he screamed at me, you'd think I really wronged him. So, I fought back because I didn't appreciate it, but I hated doing that and will never give an abusive asshole more of my time than he needs ever again. Lmao when we broke up, I was on my way out the door when he stopped me real quick, then stood there and said that although I'm beautiful, I'm "just not that cute", and then at the very end told me, "I think you are a real-life sociopath." I was so panicked that when I got back home I googled symptoms of sociopathy because I was so worried that he was right 😂😂😂😬
@@nilesredfern7989 - Exactly. It is also why thick-headed bullies pick on the "gentle giants" of the world. Holy sh*t. That second story with the dead mother being propped up on the couch is horrible. Personally, I've got memories that go back to before I was two years old but I seriously hope these kids grow older and can't recall anything about it. Damn, that's rough.
I have memories of being in my crib but old enough to sit up. My mom had given me a blanket and I said that was on your bed when I was in the crib. It was that blanket and she was stunned to find out I remembered it from that young.
I have a few flashes of memories from being a baby, but nothing important. My solid memories started around age four. I hope the three year old won't remember, but sadly I'm pretty positive that the eight year old will remember it all. 😢
I love your work John, you’ve helped me through many tough times, I couldn’t be more of a fan of the strange dark and mysterious, delivered in both podcast and story format

We have a neighbour who's a grave digger, he has to move old coffins regularly, some of the very old coffins often had the body on it's side and scratch marks and brown blood marks on the inside lid. If they didn't wake up during the quick "wake" then they were buried quickly and not embalmed. Hence the graveyard "dead ringer" bells 🔔, sometimes connected to the corpse for the keeper or family to hear.
There are many horrific ways to die and I believe being buried alive is near the top.
Honestly the place likely went out of business at least fifteen years before.
Did the people who owned the place die when the business closed?
They still persisted to the fullest extent of the law. They never dropped the charges.
Charges that never should have been filed.
Even if the business had “theoretically” likely gone out of business.
Whoever owned the business caused her several inconveniences in her life over several years.
All over a petty breach of contract.
My statement stands.

Felony for a movie? That's insane!

Susan I hope you and your brother are doing well in life. I hear ya, I can most DEFINITELY relate and I 1000000000% agree. NO child should ever have to grow up with violence in the home. Be blessed. Stay strong and humble.❤🩹
I'm not trying to judge anyone and I'm so happy that you are okay and everything went okay most of the domestic violence in our community happens way too often. We need to do better. And a lot of you females always want a relationship with a loser thug dude. He Beat his woman to death so obviously he's been doing this for a while. In this really pisses me off. Because I had to witness my father beating my mother multiple times in my life. I forgive my father and I love him I grew up very sad and that sadness turn into great anger 🤬🤬 Do you know how devastating it is for a child to witness his mother in a critical state where there's puddles of blood when you have to get the mop in your father comes to you and say your mother ain't sh...... You ladies have to make better decision of the type of man you choose to open your legs to now those kids are going to have to grow up broken 💔 💝 some of those boys are grown and when there father gets out that's how they're probably are going to try to kill him or have hatred in their heart for him me personally I forgive my father that's what I did but because of their father they don't have a mother so that anger is something that they probably will display to the father and try to hurt him and if they're grown there probably capable of doing it.
William really thought that he was gonna get away. This guy is a low iQ person. He deserves life in prison

Being buried alive was such a fear in Victorian times that people started connecting bells and breathing tubes to caskets.
So no one would be buried alive. What was happening is after people were buried they would hear noises coming from underneath the ground as if they were still alive but it was just their body decomposing bc they didn’t embalm bodies back then. So you could walk by a cemetery and hear all this noise like people were trying to get out. This is also where the fear of zombies came from lol.

I don't understand how you can hit someone you love. you wouldn't smash your own car that you love isn't it.
Thankfully kids with her parents not his given how well brought up he was (not!!! )
I think the second time, I would have left her at home for a few days to make sure. Actually, if i lived somewhere that the dead are not embalmed I would leave the dead at home for a few days the FIRST time they were supposedly dead just to make sure.

In the first story that poor woman should have compensated for all those years of lost wages. It was obviously just an accident, but one that cost her her livelihood for decades. It is hard to believe that such a charge without even her being contacted could actually pursue her. What a corrupt and neglectful system.
Exactly what I thought.
If you don't pay the fees even that is not considered theft in the same sense as shoplifting. Let me get this straight: not returning a video tape makes you a felon guilty of embezzlement? That is sick.
Law enforcement always pushes for the biggest charge in the beginning of a case (innocent until proven guilty right?). Had she been notified of her charges, she would've went to court and it would've been reduced significantly by the judge.
This happened to me, was arrested and went to jail. My brother rented under my account and never returned it. 20 years later I had a warrant out for my arrest.....0 tickets 0 record... a warrant for a VHS tape!!

It was terrifying, but I am glad he was found guilty even though I wasn't in the group to find him so. At the time I ws glad I wasn't on the jury, because of course, I didn't want to spend months of time sittng in a courtroom, but it is weird to hear about this again
The word you are looking for is "horrifying". Not 'terrifying'. You weren't there to be terrified. You were horrified by the details.
On the Za'zell one, I knew as soon as you said they were staying together for their kids despite a rocky and abusive relationship, that that wasn't going to end well. Staying together "for the kids" rarely ever works out well on its own. Add in abuse, and that's even worse.
Right and it often messes up the kids view on how relationships should be in the process
People just can't understand that 2 parents that are happier/safer separated is 100x better than staying and being miserable. Even without overt abuse, the tension in the house is stressful and you can't hide that. Kids are smarter than some think, they rapidly figure it out.
@@C-SD my parents split and it was still a war zone so it’s a toss up
That's not actually true.

that sounds like something you should be able to sue for tbh, that's 100% something they should have done
They can get more money out of you that way!
Ny did the same to me. I found out when I was getting papers together for marriage license. The dmv never received my payment, found out neighbor was stealing mail in the building, so they just suspended me without notice. Few hundred dollars and many choice words for the county clerk and it was straightened out. Such a hassel
@@poochy2479 how would he prove he never got notified?
I just cannot imagine Rudy's pain. Also Neysi's, this sounds like the most terrible thing ever. But how could they get it so wrong, i mean she was pregnant, don't you check 100 more times for the baby?
It happened in the US also, the girl came to in the morgue. With the guy just getting to the autopsy. Her family was surprised and pissed after.
U would think. But the combo of religion being the most important thing and no real medical schools = poorly trained doctors
They should be checking enough times for the actual person, not the fetus.
I will NEVER recover from the last story. I was so set to be relieved and happy and I am not.
Please start touching grass. No one should be that online that they are affected personally by these stories. Will you really, really, NEVER recover? That's just....too online.

Yeah, neither explanation actually explained that...
I am guessing she had preeclampsia and she had eclampsia fit that morning.
It causes convulsions similar like generalized epilepsy and can cause loss of consciousness afterwards.
If you cannot swallow well, you appear to foam at the mouth.
I have Narcolepsy with cataplexy and I'm an RN, but I've never heard of it causing that either.

I'm so sorry man, I really hope things get better over there
the problem in this particular story seems to about religion more than healthcare
Do things like that happen often in Honduras?
Wow. Those were all terriblly depressing. Thanks.
Exactly. I can't even bear to think about it.
That sort of thing was not uncommon before heart monitors and such.
Probably not anymore. Once you’re embalmed or cremated you’re pretty much guaranteed to be dead 💀
catalepsy is real and debilitating if not for my family woulld be street ridden because i can not work.
I think embalming the dead person eliminates that possibility. But obviously Honduras doesn't embalm.
The story in #3 would have such a dramatically different ending if she lived in an area where actual medical care wasnt a distant second to exorcisms.
Wow. The story of Necey! OmG! Gave me the most absolute chills. So damn sad! That poor family, Jesus! That was just totally unexcusable for the DOCTORS to say she was dead, when in fact, she wasn't. So sad! My heart breaks for all her family.
Poor Macie, what a terrible thing to have happen to you. May God welcome her into his kingdom and bless her family and friends
Zazell's story is heartbreaking! As a mother, I remember how much my 7 week old baby needed me, and think how much all my kids still need me now! I can only imagine the trauma this man caused his children by murdering their mother.
I hope they all got the therapy they needed to cope with what happened
I would like to congratulate Karen for surviving a Mrballen video! You are one of a brave few.
That last story is so incredibly tragic. The husband basically had to suffer the loss of his wife and child TWICE! I hope the family is at peace now

When will people learn that having a kid NEVER fixes toxic relationships and only brings more people into the toxicity.
Yes, so true.
You really expect them to understand? They can barely understand how to leave someone alone and stop messing with them. So anything they think will bring them together they’ll do
Those kids will never enjoy Christmas again after that :(

Lmao when we broke up, I was on my way out the door when he stopped me real quick, then stood there and said that although I'm beautiful, I'm "just not that cute", and then at the very end told me, "I think you are a real-life sociopath." @@justleon721 - Nope.
@@nilesredfern7989 - Exactly. It is also why thick-headed bullies pick on the "gentle giants" of the world.
