The second story is so devastating and heartbreaking, as there is so much that we can learn from that. To men and women, if your partner lies to you or even puts their hands on you, they will do it again. You should believe people when they show you who they are. There are other people out there in the world that will love and care for you.

I was hoping they could've saved her baby. Initially I thought they were going to say he heard a baby crying. Because death can cause babies to be expelled from the womb. I'd hoped it had a happy ending. But judging by the pitiful care she received, they probably didn't try to save her baby either time. If I was pregnant & had just passed away, I'd consider anyone who saved my baby a hero. Even if a random stranger used a penknife to cut the baby out. I'm left fuming at the authorities. It's sadly still a Latin American cultural thing to believe in bad spirits causing illness.

@@genuinesupporter5467 By the time a dead body relaxes enough to expel a fetus, said fetus would have also perished from oxygen depravation. There is no way for what you thought to actually happen, the mother would still have to be alive for a living baby to be delivered. From the story, it sounds like Neysi wasn't close to due, either, and being in a poor, rural community, the baby would have likely died either way at that gestation.

I heard of something similar (on a TV new report) about a man who checked out some medical reference books from the local library in his hometown, but then moved from there and had mistakenly boxed them up along with his stuff and took them with him. He found them in his attic some twenty years later, calculated the late fees (between 750 and 800 dollars) and rounded it up to $1000.00. He then sent the check, books, and a note of apology to the lady who had been the librarian at the time.

The VHS tape thing was evil. I remember stores doing that. When we rented in our small town I was just charge for replacement of new tape. If they were late for a couple of weeks they would just owe to replace the tape. Like $30 and that is it. I can't stand people who steal, but I would never want anyone arrested over a 30 dollar tape. That is insanity. That is just about how all the stores operated back then though. That was just one sucky thing from the past though. Every small town had public swimming pools, bowling, movie theater, skating and other fun things to do. All of that is gone now. I will not talk about what killed all of that though. It isn't pc.

The story about Za'Zell hit me so hard. It was like you were telling the story of my childhood Christmas's with my Mom and stepdad William. They always had horrible fights around holidays. I remember one Christmas Eve they fought and a gun got brought out. I could have very easily wound up like her kids. I try not to think about it and delude myself that it wasn't that bad. Hearing it from an outsider perspective really put it in perspective for me. Kids should never have to go through that. I guess my brother and I are very lucky we didn't have to bury one parental figure and watch another go to jail.

I'd have thrown the book at him and gone for the max which should have been LIFE (if not death!). They usually only plea down when they think there's a chance they'll lose the case but with his stupid story about her "falling into the coffee table" and putting sunglasses on her, they had to have had a tightly wrapped-up case without his confession. I'm sure her family and friends were so sick over that nothing sentence he got for what he did to her AND orphaning those 3 innocent kids....one only 7 weeks old! @@chrisyu327 I can understand how a man especially would hit a woman he loves (or used to love). Some women can be so evil even Jesus would be scared or be in tears to be in a relationship with them. Manipulation can really cause someone to snap. I just got out of an emotionally abusive, filled with venom and huge tons of lies relationship and I sometimes I wish I had just punched that girl into a coma. Never did get to express my physical violence on her.
Loved her very much but for whatever reason, I wasn't the guy she wanted. I did everything for her, even getting her a job but she kept comparing me to her cheating ex and even cheated on me severally with him and others (evidence from her phone). I always got pity sex and you have no idea how frustrating that is. Especially before learning things like red pill or alpha widow nature.
I sit down sometimes and remember the things I endured that would even make my friends laugh at me, that I'm either very stupid or I am the most patient person in the world. But they'd quickly follow it up with, you're a very intelligent person so you're obviously not stupid. I'm an engineer by the way (to explain the "intelligence").
The traditional nonsense that everyone who have never been in abusive (emotionally, not physical) relationship is to always tell a man to be patient. Be the bigger person. Fuck that shit. Fuck, I tried to self-delete myself several times, I am f**king rich as compared to my colleagues I sat in the same engineering classes with but I was miserable simply because I wanted to stay faithful to one woman who couldn't respect me. Everyone, my aunts, my own parents, her side of the family always told me to be the patient man. Years I endured this shit and I have receipts from going to a therapist to prove this. Multiple therapy sessions. I could've just done the worst and ended up in jail, probably be enduring shit in there but be happy I expressed my anger.
Until recently that her true lying devilish nature came out, the only thing I ever got from anyone is that "oh you're such a patient man". I am not. I have murdered that girl in so many different ways in my mind. So many different ways. When it was time for her to leave my place, I went and called the police to come and bear witness to her packing her belongings, only for them to refuse to turn up at the very last minute with all forms of excuses. I later found out from a colleague, even they could get in trouble for touching a woman or some nonsense of that kind. I sometimes have my whole body visibly shaking just remembering some of the things I had to live through and endure.
I am a broken man, and if you haven't been in my shoes you have no idea. I am lonely sometimes. Living all alone in a big house with everything to make a family possible, with money to travel anywhere I want. I have the freedom to travel (software engineer - remote work) but I am not able to. I buy new servers and computing tools just to play with at home. I do a whole lot of things to keep myself busy at night but after I've successfully done all of these things, I get reminded that I am lonely.
A girl who has been taking naked pics of me when I sleep at night over the course of the years. If not because the nakedness of a man does not go too far, she's been preparing all these years for when the relationship would go to hell so she can disgrace me. The only thing that stopped her, is her family and the threat of me suing her with all I've got until she rots in jail forever.
I want to be a husband, I want to be a good father, but with what I've experienced, I wonder what I did wrong to anyone to deserve any of this. I wonder if I'm cursed. I'm trying my very best not to go into any other relationship until next year. I don't think I am fit to be a man in any woman's life right now. I'll continue my therapy sessions and hopefully, God will help me with a woman who will appreciate my efforts.
I do not support or condone any stupid thing a man does to a woman, like ZaZell's husband has done to her, I'm just saying, I can understand what could push a man to doing it. I feel fortunate I didn't do it, but I sometimes feel very angry I didn't do it either.

But what makes this story so much worse is how he positioned her body on the sofa and made the children believe she had done something wrong when in reality he had murdered her in cold blood and made his children sit with her body.
    Those poor children 💔

I don't understand how it was considered felony embezzlement. You have to steal over a certain amount to make it go from a misdemeanor to a felony (it's different in each state... But usually at least $600+) and if you have never had any charges before they usually drop it to something smaller. So how a VHS even with fees could get that high is beyond me.

I used to manage a video store in a small town and yes, I’m that old and we rented VHS tapes. I never turned anyone over to the police though. You figure say the one video is 4.00 a day to rent and if the customer keeps it a year the charges would be well over 1,000.00. We would have customers insist they returned a movie even if the movie was missing and they were the last one to rent it. There was really nothing to do because I would never turn a customer over to the police and we just absorbed the cost but it was very irritating. But not felony irritating!

Unfortunately, I didn't have the money to get it legal, but I still needed to work. I just figured I'd take care of everything on payday. Didn't work out that way, unfortunately. Fast forward about two years, I get stopped in my new car, and when the cop runs my info, he tells me I'm driving on a suspended license. Apparently, the state had suspended my license when I got stopped in the truck two years earlier, and they never notified me about it. The man had suffered what the magazine called a cataleptic fit which gave the appearance of death. After reading the story, I asked myself, “Could this ever happen to somebody in real life?” Mr. Ballen just answered that question for me. Horrific is hardly the word.

The second one, I knew she was dead before it was revealed. The moment Mr. Ballen said the abuser told the children, "Mommy ruined Christmas." That's classic abuse. Before he got into the story, from the photos alone, I can tell you that it was one person being abusive and their victim fighting back. It looks like "fights" to the outside world, but these types of relationships are usually a victimiser and a victim. It is classic trauma bonding and predatory types look for strong people they can tear down by pushing their buttons until their victims fight back.

    • @justleon721

While there are definitely always exceptions, the vast majority of predatory people do not "look for strong people they can tear down." As such, they specifically choose easy targets, with noticeable weaknesses or vulnerabilities that can be exploited.

Our fights were NEVER over serious things but the way he screamed at me, you'd think I really wronged him.
