Good lesson, but i believe there is a much more efficient way. Since i know the chord tones of each mode so for example if we are in Dorian, i know the root of C is on the D string, so then you memorize the individual chord for that note placement ( cagDed) it would be on the D form when playing in dorian. So in my opinion the easiest way is identifying root note, and based on which string that root note is on is how the chords shifts. Trust me players, this is a much easier approach. and won bae teacher like if you agree. because this method both trains note recognition as well as chord recognition and did i mention its easier?
